It seems to me that melancholic songs leave the greatest emotional imprint. Especially if they are a little sad.

As someone who used to be in an abusive relationship (emotional and physical) This really struck a cord with me. I just wanted to be enough for her and did everything I could to make her happy, but I was killing myself by then and she didn't even care. It took a lot of strength to burn that bridge and get the help I needed, especially as a man. Now I'm with a wonderful woman and I couldn't be happier

Good on you dude. Dealt with a relationship I was blackmailed into personally. I didn't know how to react as it was a close friend so I just rolled along. She did so much to my trust in people and I'll be recovering for a good year or two. Hope you the best man

Something about this song… there’s a story behind it. It’s sad and somber and really hurts. Absolutely beautiful and I’m in love with it.
It's interesting since the lion has a black eye in this music visual. Perhaps it's about some form of toxic relationship where the partner was abusive.

Matt is singing about how he loves his partner and just wants to be “enough” for them and claims he can take the hits and bruises-something common in abusive relationships where one person controls another by always claiming they’re not “enough” by criticizing them constantly

I feel for any of Scratch21's songs since I first came across them, I always think 'Hm, not my cup of tea' for the first listen, and then find myself coming back like 4 more times the same day. Annd now it is my cup of tea, heh. Your songs are great, and always invoke some emotion in me even when I don't exactly relate to the message of the song, somehow. This song was absolutely amazing. I love Matt's and Cooper's voices, they go so well together, same for their guitars. Ed's bass sounds so crispy. And somehow Riley's drums sound calming, event tho it's not a calm instrument at all. Please never stop making amazing music like that
I think Ed is the lead guitarist since it's got 6 strings and Cooper is the bassist.

It's rare to hear this song and know what it means, I don't feel identified but I know someone who if I knew her would definitely dedicate it to me, I hurt her too much and I don't deserve her tears. Only this song makes me cry because I know that I did the same to a person I love very much.

I bust my @$$ doing anything I'm told, I used to work 4 hour days (enough to pay bills & put some in my savings, etc no problem) but now at 2 hours a day & just today I found out from a close coworker that the boss, whom I prefer to take my orders from, thinks I'm lazy. Out of all the people at my job, I'm sure as shitake mushrooms not lazy. This song... Oh, how my heart aches.
I absolutely fell in love with this song in a span of about an hour. It speaks so highly to me, and yet I don't know what it's saying to me. All I know is the calm beat, coupled with the relaxing voices makes me think of a hopefully bright future.
Such a cute animation for the music video, fit the song perfectly I think and the song itself is really great

Not what I expected to shed a tear for today. I'm absolutely stunned with how beautiful you all made this this song. The topic is a rough one to write about, but I think you all did amazing. I don't know if this was written in 12/8 time or 4/4 with triplets throughout, but the awkward push and pull really helps get the emotions off and help the song shine even brighter. I loved this.
