    This helped. If you’re in business, investing in the language of your business (accounting) is critical. $20-50/mo negligible in comparison to what it does for your business. If that is too much, you don’t have a business, you have a hobby imo

    • @chuckm482
      @chuckm482 6 месяцев назад

      $50 a month = $600 a year = $6,000 in ten years. NO THANKS! Just give me a one time urchase like they use to not that long ago. THEY are NOT the dumb ones!

    A big problem with Quickbooks is that it's very easy to set up, but often WRONG. You can go along for ages without knowing it's wrong and you're in a world of hurt. It's too expensive, and mainly pushed because accountants get a large residual income for signing you up.

      It also doesn't suit me here in Ireland, as if I want to allow clients to pay me directly through the invoice, it doesn't have that feature in Europe. I can just put my IBAN/account number in the invoice notes. Which can generally be fine, but it's another source of friction for when trying to close a sale for a prospect that may be on a call with me. These details matter.

    Note with QBO: If you want a most basic feature - marking an expense as billable and invoicing it back to a client - you must buy a premium plan with Quickbooks that gives you hundreds of features you don't care about. It's like a ruse - such a basic feature "billable expenses" singled out to push you into a higher plan...

I think we need to consider more decentralised and individual software that we can own and use without being on the internet. What do you think? Thank you again.

    It was very helpful to see the visual comparison of the different platforms. I use QuickBooks for my clients, but wanted to see what the other options are. I think I will start offering Wave as well to the clients who have the most simple needs and have limited money to spend. Xero looks very text-heavy without much for people who want to see data displayed visually.

    if you are mature enough to understand then you use quickbooks desktop on a dell r420 server with windows server 2016 or 2019 on it and host the file in your network there is no better approach for serious and complex accounting like manufactures or whole sellers or any medium sized company, quickbooks online cant stand a chance against quickbooks desktop in terms of robustness

    • @KnowledgeByMarcus

      @@heidilehman9009 everything is alright! Its really good if you want to track how much time you actually spend on client.. so lets say you will get hired for copywriting 30bucks an hour, its about being transparent that you would track time spent on project. also lets say you would have multiple projects and you would jump from 1 project to another on in a day.. its good to be able to track it.. cause you gonna have different pay for those projects.. and you dont want to be in position in end of the month trying to figure out how much actuall time you spent on project :D but when you use clockify it will track everything for you and you can even use it as a credibility and proof for client how much time you spent on specific tasks... I know its long reply but it is what it is :D hope I helped

    Wave is free, but a year or so ago decided to stop supporting UK businesses. Quickbooks is not the most user-friendly in my opinion.
    If you're after a fully-fledged accounting package I'd go with Xero. In case an invoicing and expense tracking tool (light accounting) is enough, I'd go with InvoiceBerry as it has less of a learning curve and is more affordable, too.
