You mean the consumer didnt notice the clothes where see trough when they bought it? Sounds like a consumer problem not a company problem, clothes being see trough is neither illegal or unheard of.And i don't feel like one or two hoverboards catching fire out of over 50k is cause to say the company or hoverboard is to blame, when people pull that shit it annoys me it doesn't make sense look at the percent that didnt catch fire in that time, if anything they should be sued for calling it a hoverboard, the name borders on or flat out is false advertising.
About #1 : there was a similar scandal with breast implants from PIP, a French company; gist is basically, they used industrial silicone instead of the significantly more expensive medical silicone that must be used. Bottom line is, a lot of women got hurt and developed cancer and the likes, when their implants ruptured; and the company owner did prison time.
5:26 I wish people would quit calling these monstrosity hoverboards. The movie Back to the Future part II had hoverboards this is not a hoverboard this is a stickless Segway
I gotta say that as a programmer, the VW software scandal left me kind of sitting back in admiration of the programmers. That took a lot of thought and planning. Then again, I have never owned a Volkswagen.
Im a mechanic. I applaud them for doing it. Sucks they got caught by some school kids. If i was audi/ve i would have hired the kid that found that out.
a solid third of these are lithium-ion battery related. i don’t think ppl realize how dangerous they are because of how common it is. i work in automotive collision repair and a lot of shops refuse to work on electric vehicles bc of how volatile they can be. if an electric car battery catches on fire, you literally have to let it burn itself out of fuel, it can’t be extinguished otherwise. spraying water on it may temporarily extinguish the fire but it will relight.
#9- this just goes to show how sleazy advertisers are. They'll make any claim they want as long as the companies are willing to pay out any likely lawsuit
Years ago, I bought a Motorola Razer. I had it a week, before it caught fire, while standing outside a store. Luckily, no one was hurt, and just a small charded spot left. The battery caused fire
Gotta love those yoga pants, they go beyond "form fitting" they're actually literally every nook and cranny fitting showing off all your bumps, divots, and ... gaps... you may have living absolutely nothing to the imagination but oh no they're see through! :D
200 billion dollars in 25 years as panelty, thats 8 billion every year, I'm imagining how much they are earning to sustain. Maybe 80-100 billion per year if we suppose the penalty is 10 percent per year
I had the new balance shoes/vibrams knock offs. As somebody with flat feet they did indeed help strengthen my feet. They were also great for doing Squats and Powercleans.
I actually own an Audi TDi, which was part of dieselgate. They were able to retrofit some of the models and resell them, so I got a 2015 with 8k miles in 2021!
Ford kuga in South Africa had about 50 models that caught fire, resulting in injuries and even one death. There was a lawsuit but the payouts didn't even cover the value of the car. I don't know if this was only south african models or if it was a wider problem.
I look forward to the day when plastic companies are held accountable just like the tobacco companies. The plastic industry has lied to us for decades in regards to recycling. They knew most plastic COULDN'T be recycled so that they could push it into almost every market. Going after them is long overdue!
yeah, there was a christmas party at an LA taco bell in 2022 and some of the staff decided it was a good idea to just openly start fucking, with other members of staff in view. it was reported and those people were fired. it was brought to media attention towards the end of last year cus the woman who reported the people who shagged at the party was being harassed by associates of those they reported. so she had to quit her job. might have even had to move. not sure. it was a very weird story. i remember moist critical making a video on it.
Actually it's part of the consumers fault because whoever heard of inhaling smoke and making it and saying it's good for you anyone with a half a brain knows that inhaling smoke is the worst thing you can do

I think the Ford Pinto should have been brought up. Because of that car's poor design, Ford found themselves under fire in court.
And Pinto drivers found themselves *on* fire

Wish they added Kool-Aid to this list.
Thanks for the list
Those Vibram toe shoes were way above my budget, back when they were all over Facebook.
Somehow, this video has made me feel a whole lot better.

Would have loved to see trump university on this list. Talk about a bogus product! Cheers....
New Coke gets my vote for the dumbest worst product.
I hear that Coke just did that to get under Pespi skin and to ruined themself too
The Galaxy Note 7 mod for GTA was awesome though
1:54 I’m sorry, what?
Some Toothpaste companies lie about their Toothpaste. They're Green-Washing. Please use organic safe-to-swallow fluoride-free toothpaste.
😂The thumbnail tho! I clicked on this video for the damn thumbnail.
same
I never knew Taco Bell put oats in their 'ground beef'...

Astro pants are see through and so are leggings. Does not stop women wearing smaller sizes so they are so tight they are nearly transparent.
Hey, everyone! Who's up for hopping into my Ford Pinto on the way to play Lawn Darts?
Me! 🙋♀ My family had a set of lawn darts when I was a kid, and they were a lot of fun. No Pinto though (thankfully).😜

The average Dow payout was between $12,000-$60,000. Yeah, I don't think that's how an average works. $3.2b/170k is around $18,000.

Breast Implants - next time just be happy with your body the way it is and stop trying to do things just to please men.
do women still use breast implants?
I live in Las Vegas. Implants are everywhere here.
See through active wear worse than asbestos? Stupid list.
