DIY Harem Pants | making pants!

- I DIY'ed a pair of "harem" pants! If you are unfamiliar with the type of pant, it's a very loose fitting, drop crotch, jogger styled pant usually made with a really light weight stretchy fabric. It's my first time making a pair of more lounge wear styled pants and they are SO comfy!

Hey there. Just a quick thought to throw at you. Technically, said Harem Pants, could be strongly argued, came straight out of Ancient Persia. The more appropriate name would be, "Hareem Pants".
The pockets for said pants were along the sides of the legs. As pickpocketing was quite prevalent.
I'm sorry, you are supposed to sing "Can't Touch This" while doing the Hammer Dance, while wearing these pants.

I'm gonna use this as a tutorial! I wanted to buy some harem pants on Amazon, but everything I ordered ended up being fake Chinese garbage made of this weird plastic bag feeling material.
Gonna try it with a bit of a thicker, more jogging pants esque fabric.
Yeah the nice thing about making them yourself is choosing a proper fabric that actually gives the look/feel you want. Hope the video helps bring them to life :)
Hi, can you make a tutorial how to turning a harem pants to normal pants? I bought some, but the middle part is too low it's difficult to walk around with it T.T
I'm not sure if I'll make a video that specific, but my most recent video (ruclips.net/video/hYirp5ATjYM/видео.html) has some alterations on it specifically with something that is a bit too big. Here are 2 ways you can go about it in mind:
1. The "proper" way would be to measure how much you want removed, seam rip/disassemble, cut the pieces to be smaller, and then reassemble.
2. The way I would probably do it (and the way I did it in my most recent video), would be to put the pants on, pinch the fabric to see how much you want taken away, pin it from the inside with the extra fabric inside the garment (not outside of it), sew across the pins, and then cut away the excess.
