I work in an environment of high humidity (outside patio in central Florida) and I never have an issue with the static electricity building up on my foam causing it to sick together. The high humidity makes the air more conductive, so it can absorb and more evenly distribute valence electrons. If you are in a dry air environment try using a humidifier, but be warned that high humidity can create other issues such as drying times for paints and glues, and spray varnishing can trap moisture in the varnish and cause it to have a frost look. I thought maybe degaussing might work on the foam, but after doing a little digging I discovered that there’s really no device that can eliminates the exchange of valence electrons that causes static electricity.
I appreciate you taking the time to share! My shop is in the basement and I have to run a dehumidifier down there so maybe that is making it worse. I read that vinegar, aluminum foil, or dryer sheets are a way of reducing static charges on clothing. Time for some mad-scientist experiments with foam!
Well done. Next time, use push pins to help support the top roof crossbeam to the two supports. Those will also help strengthen the supports and eliminate the need for the cross supports. (Love your vids, keep up the good work!!!
Looking good, my brother! By the way, I just discovered pan pastels. I’m anxious to try them out. I’d love to see you show how you may use them. I’ll keep you posted on my results. - Rick, USMC

Great feakin idea! I have a box of extra long pins that would work perfectly. I love this hobby! I am always learning something from y'all!
Love these vids. Builds are very simple but there’s a lot of character to the pieces and look really well!
