Damn, I remember that. Me and my family used to go to Masjidul Waritheen. They had men outside during celebrations patrolling because of people breaking into cars, going down the one way street the wrong way and breaking into people's cars. Even before that my dad had a fish shop on on International Boulevard. There was a barbershop a couple doors down. There windows were covered and people use to go in and out quickly with the same haircut. My dad had to close down the place because his co owner and his children were stealing money. Also, they allowed drug dealers to stash drugs and charged their phones in the restaurant. We lived in East Palo Alto and my dad had cancer so we couldn't monitor them. My parents had to file for bankruptcy.
Folks died every single day back then. Remember the end of year? They'd put all the people murder in the news paper..smh it was a trip to be able to say you knew or knew of at least 6-7 people...on a list of 80-100 people

I'm Canadian and. did 7 1/2 for manslaughter and 2 for arson run consecutively and ended up serving 8 1/2 of my 9.5 yr sentence. one of those crazy stories aboutt weed growing houses in British Columbia that had the coke debt, so he tries to collect 3 weeks early by cutting .my babies before reaching maturity to fully flower in the 8x1.000w basement grow show. while he went in room, i grabbed the shotgun under my porch from outside ....i grabbed some tape and waited, was gonna trade him for some cash., but he ended up dying unexpectedly when he swallowed sock .oh well, it ould of been.way worse, and given 25.yrs but in.the system till you die, always on parole, ain't that some shit. shot myself under chin,
