+Yerren v. St. Annaland You are so kind! Thank you so much I'm still figuring out this RUclips stuff, so this channel is still young and small. But feel free to share! There's a whole series of the Shakespeare Finger Puppets, if you'd like to see more and Much Ado is coming out this week. :)
This is sublime! I am taking my 9 year old daughter to the Edinburgh Lyceum tomorrow night to see A Winter's Tale (and she is auditioning for a local performance of it too at the weekend) Your wee show is a perfect reminder of all the characters and plot. Thank you!
This was fun. The Winter's Tale was the 2nd Shakespeare show I ever performed in with the Michigan Classical Repertory Theatre. I played Autolycus (which, during ANY of these recaps or synopses of this show, nobody ever mentions him lol) I absolutely love how bonkers the plot is of this...it was recorded as being Shakespeare's second to last show (The Tempest was supposedly his final written show) and he employed his only use (as far as i'm aware) of being a tragedy AND comedy together (Tragicomedy!) because while the events of Acts I-III are definitely tragic, Acts IV and V are tonally the opposite! (My character, Autolycus, only existed in the comedy portion and he is a thief and con-man who tries to bamboozle Clown (Young Shepherd) and ultimately pays for it by the end, but it was one of the funniest parts i ever got to play....but this was great! Brought back a lot of fond memories
There's actually some lines about this! When Leontes first sees the statue, he's like "She was nothing so old as this" and Paulina says, that the sculpture's skill was so excellent he carved her as she would have been if she had lived. When I was making the puppets I remembered to grey her hair a little, but I forgot to give her wrinkles like the other adults.
+Let's Read Sometimes! I'm getting better as I do more of the videos. Now, I record the voiceover first, and then film the fingers to match the audio, and then edit it all together. :) Thanks for watching!
I'm so glad you like it! I haven't done Comedy of Errors yet, but I'm hoping to eventually produce finger puppet productions of all of Shakespeare's plays-- I've done 19 so far, and I'm hoping to have the 20th come out soon.
Wait this only has 500 views?!? This video is fit to be in the millions! Keep up the good work, very clearly explained, much thanks!

Excellent work. Thanks.

That's an interesting way to sum up Shakespeare. Is it hard to coordinate all your fingers together?
