sad news :( Darwyn Coke passed away. he was one of the greatest comics book artist and his work and stories will be greatly missed. R.I.P Mr. Cooke. thank you for the art and story that full our imagination
Can you believe that they didn't want this guy back in the late '80s/early '90s? Imagine the awesome stuff he would've done up until now if they just gave him a shot. Man, that is such a solid drawing. A modern master for sure.
I loved how he drew The Spirit and I miss his spirit in comics! He actually got me back into comic books and his artwork inspires me every time I draw!
I loved his version of Wonder Woman in the New Frontier! I discuss why in my review of the series. You can find it by doing a Google search for ''squidoo Darwyn Cooke

@MarioWithAVegetable It's a brush pen. Looks like it might be a Faber Castell Pitt, but he keeps moving it :)
That's the business! Darwyn is the fkin nuts.
RIP
The fact that he uses cheap pens makes him that much more awesome. Do you know what kind of paper he uses? Thanks in advance.

Probably the standard Strathmore 500 series Bristol.
Anyone what pen he used ?
Faber-Castell PITT brush pen, a relatively inexpensive disposable. I imagine he buys them by the gross.
Anyone know how much he charges for commissions like this one?
say his name right
What do you mean?
Your draws are nice. But your figures could be a lot of better.
