I owned the sv2, I think the best piano sound is the Italian grand, not the German grand.

I own a SV1 that is now approaching it’s life’s end and I am exactly between those two: SC2 or YC88. Unfortunately, you do not compare similar sounds (e.g. Clavi B vs. Clavi AC), Wurli and Rhodes with different effects on both boards on. That makes it somehow difficult to really compare these boards.

Hey, which one did you choose? I'm between those two as well.

I like both of these, but the Roland RDs have 1100+ sounds. I can find anything I need in there, even if the EPs and organs are not the best.

Yamaha sounds way too harsh to me, Korg sounds warm and organic.

I think they built it so I can cut through a mix but you can eq it and warm it up a little

@@jeffreyreid6981 I agree. A lot of local live PA's a pretty muddy and extra warm almost accentuates that muddiess. Because otherwise I agree. Yamaha has always been a little sterile when it comes to emulating warm 70's keys like Rhodes and Wurly. Too clean to feel real. But.. when it's that or cutting clearly through a mix, sometimes it's easier to go for the extra clean unless the sound system you're playing through is steller.
