Seems to be a great improvement from SV-1, but i still don’t see a demo showing that the all the previous downsides have been enhanced. Can you play chorus and phaser at the same time? Can you custom the layers when using two of them or just the ones by default? It is possible to download other voices? How powerful is the software? How much can you tweak the patches from software? And so on, if you can add more please be my guest.
I'm usually not that interested in these stage keyboard but this demo and the quality of sound/effects on the SV-2 has me feeling hot and bothered!!! Price is pretty tasty too! The keybed looks like it allows for lots of expressiveness. Jeez.
The organ on the SV-1 was very ordinary, probably not upgraded for the SV-2, either, but that's ok. No-one who knows anything about organ wants to play that patch on a weighted hammer-action keyboard.
Excellent demo showing the basic nuances of the acoustic piano section. Acoustic pianos are the most difficult to recreate on a digital keyboard. Thank You. 👍🏽👍🏼
I had been talking to Sweet water about 8 months ago looking for a stage piano. Couldn’t make up my mind, but liked the Yamaha CP88. I put everything on hold for a bit and I’m glad I did - this Korg may be IT! Any thoughts comparing this to the CP88? The interface of the Korg looks like something I would really like.
This is impressive. I think that's the 73 model we see. There is also an 88 model, but 73 seems appropriate for this instrument, plus it's cheaper and easier to transport. It looks like it should have a curved lid, but I see no mention of one. I know there is a music rest. I wonder how robust it is. Does that front bar bend into the keys?
dana4261 Well if you’re looking for more option go with the Yamaha CP88 but I do live SV1 piano for years I have a montage 8 but the SV1 is my favourite board on the mid range the SV2 sounds really good if you want realism so man I don’t know
I must say Cp88 every day. This Sv2 sounds very fake to my ears. Crumar Seven for eps and look, Cp88 for acoustic and electric pianos and smooth action.
Hi, Montana. There are no recording features on the keyboard itself but you can record it to your computer or a standalone recorder. Feel free to reach out with any other questions. Thanks! Jason Filloramo, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1281, Jason_Filloramo@sweetwater.com
Hey, Heather. Thanks for reaching out! The Korg SV-2 is a great stage piano with a ton of possibilities. The manual of the unit actually goes into detail on how an expression pedal can be automatically assigned to adjust the rotary speed, and more! Hopefully this helps, but let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks and have a great day! Jack Wellington, Sweetwater Sale Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 3240, jack_wellington@sweetwater.com
We've got a Halo player xD You seem to me more of a pianist than a keyboardist, if that makes sense. Did you ever lament having only 73 keys here? I'm planning to buy, but I've been agonizing over 73 vs 88. 73 seems like a very nice compromise and fits across the back seat. Then again, 88 is the real deal.
Hello! That is a great question! Unfortunately Korg hasn't released the manual for the SV2 yet, and since these units are in pre production but haven't yet hit stores, I don't have one I can test out here. That being said, I believe the tap tempo controlled only the digital delay in the original SV-1, so I don't have anything from Korg to indicate they changed that in the SV2. If you'd like to go into more detail, please call my number below. Thanks for your interest! Nick LaMendola, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1660, nick_lamendola@sweetwater.com

I need this in my life!
The lick @27:20
@Isaac Wisdom 29:37 too! 😄
I wish I could afford one. I wanted the SV1 but these are even nicer.
So good. Very inspiring. As ever.
I really hope you are selected to demo the new Rowland RD-88. (hint hint)
It's beautiful
Great job
Seems to be a great improvement from SV-1, but i still don’t see a demo showing that the all the previous downsides have been enhanced. Can you play chorus and phaser at the same time? Can you custom the layers when using two of them or just the ones by default? It is possible to download other voices? How powerful is the software? How much can you tweak the patches from software? And so on, if you can add more please be my guest.
wow impressive !
This guy is talented
I'm usually not that interested in these stage keyboard but this demo and the quality of sound/effects on the SV-2 has me feeling hot and bothered!!! Price is pretty tasty too! The keybed looks like it allows for lots of expressiveness. Jeez.
At 16:06 what kind of organ is this sound modeled after?
Boi Mesa B3
@@AlexanderNagel hammond?
The organ on the SV-1 was very ordinary, probably not upgraded for the SV-2, either, but that's ok. No-one who knows anything about organ wants to play that patch on a weighted hammer-action keyboard.
I love this keyboard, I am waiting for some price drop on it. I cannot afford it yet for 2100 EUR.
How do the sounds compare to the Grandstage (Korg)?
Excellent demo showing the basic nuances of the acoustic piano section. Acoustic pianos are the most difficult to recreate on a digital keyboard. Thank You. 👍🏽👍🏼
el mejor sonido d cuerdas q he escuchado la realidad pura d un violonchelo
I had been talking to Sweet water about 8 months ago looking for a stage piano. Couldn’t make up my mind, but liked the Yamaha CP88. I put everything on hold for a bit and I’m glad I did - this Korg may be IT! Any thoughts comparing this to the CP88? The interface of the Korg looks like something I would really like.
Buy the Korg, you will love it. If you go Yamaha, buy the MODX, you will love the pianos
Mike Rutigliano I did buy the Korg....and I do love it 😊
songbird857 Great Decision! I had a Montage 8 and traded it away for a Nord Stage 3 had to pay an extra bit though but it’s hella dope
Are these the same sounds in the Kronos?
Hey Jacob! Can you record a full version of Pure Imagination? I want to listen and transcribe it because you are insane my friend.
Woody Goss did a cover of it on a Rhodes I believe. You can find it on youtube
Yes it does
This or a Yamaha CP88?
dana4261 Well if you’re looking for more option go with the Yamaha CP88 but I do live SV1 piano for years I have a montage 8 but the SV1 is my favourite board on the mid range the SV2 sounds really good if you want realism so man I don’t know
I must say Cp88 every day. This Sv2 sounds very fake to my ears. Crumar Seven for eps and look, Cp88 for acoustic and electric pianos and smooth action.
great playing. and a very well structured demo. (thank you for not playing a James Bond theme....)
The quintessential instrument for Hearts of Space and the return of Enya.
Beautiful! Thank you for showing. Question: Can you also record all those piano effects just like how you hear it in this video?
Hi, Montana. There are no recording features on the keyboard itself but you can record it to your computer or a standalone recorder.
Feel free to reach out with any other questions. Thanks!

What's the song name at 00:19?
pure imagination!
@@thomaswenglinski Thank you!!
Wow!! Nice demo and wonderful piano... I'm so Happy to Say that "italian's Do It Better...", Really really good job!!
Is it possible to change the organ rotary speed with an expression pedal? That would be amazing.
Thanks and have a great day!

great playing and great demo. Wondering how you have the rig connected to an amp? I see three wires out the back. Thanks
Then again, 88 is the real deal.
hi, on the "Tape echo" can the repeat rate be changed using the [tap tempo] button ?

The one thing missing in an SV keyboard is a pitch/modulation.
I cannot believe this is missing. Would have been PERFECT!
