That's what a real demonstrator should be playing like! The excellent musician capable to present an excellent musical instrument up to the top heights of its potentials.
If possible it would be beneficial to have Luke do a tutorial video showing how to use sound editor with SV2. I’m sure it would be informative as well as entertaining.
I've used Korg all my life. The sv-2 actually gives me some sense of pride. It's definitely gonna be a great demand on it far past it's production time.
Luke is a superb player, great feel and range of styles. First class. I am blown away by this version of the SV. Love my SV1 but its getting old and has been played a lot. Looking at $3000 for the SV2S as of March 2020, Sydney, Australia.
9:25 Luke really went there, lol. I was already sold on it but this really put a smile on my face. I'll be in to my local store for one very soon. See you soon Aaron.
I'm excited, BUT, I'm not hopeful yet; I'm hoping more energy was invested into the sounds that made the SV-1 concept so great (i.e., EP's and Vintage patches) rather than useless, for me at least, orchestral sounds, which would be far more detailed and better handled MIDI'd from a workstation (e.g., my Tyros 5) or Kontakt on a laptop anyway.
Agree. I'm surprised that orchestral sounds are still included in stage models these days. Everyone I know has a tablet or laptop in their rig for those, and no matter how great the board it won't replace.
Does anyone know what the settings are/were when Luke played the James Bond title theme? I just got the SV2 and am trying to figure out how to replicate the settings.
Why oh why the RH3 action again?. Some things already missing. 1- Pitch and mod wheels. 2- Split and layers FROM THE KEYBOARD in real time, not from the editor only. 3- Replaceable sound library. 4- More favourites presets. 5- Smooth sounds transition. There's a tough competition at this point, and other than nostalgia, I don't know how the SV2 can outperform current products by Nord, Yamaha or Dexibell.
Obviously this piano is designed for a market that is different to your needs (although I don't think you listened properly, eg, it has 8-times the previous favourites presets!). For the market it is aimed toward, it's fabulous. The SV-1 found very many customers, and with this massive upgrade on the sounds, not only will many SV-1 owners upgrade, it will find new customers. My mouth is watering but doubt I will be able to afford it just now (just when I think I have a keyboard that suits my needs, something like this comes along - very frustrating!)
Hello! I dont have experince on stage pianos. Pls can you let me know wich one is better, new one Korg SV2 or Korg Grandstage? Also do they have sounds like bells, harpsichord, glockenspiel, marima, kalimba, vibrafon, ksylofon, harp etc.? Thanks
It wouldnt matter what this board sounded like, that curved top makes it totally impractical for gigging in my opinion. I am always resting an ipad or a setlist or something on top. Even Fender Rhodes ditched the curved top after the Mark1.
Jacek Średnicki ...that's a shame. Mellotron is one of the iconic classic sounds and should be built in as opposed to cheesy string sounds. I mean, if you're going to go to the trouble...
. I really like the piano but why the impractical top panel - I wouldn't buy it because it is impossible to sit a synth or sound module on top of it - as many gigging keyboardists would want to do - it is a really stupid piece of design - for looks rather than practicality - so irritating
Luke does an excellent job demoing for Korg
It's mind-boggling how good he is!
Really is good!!
I Will quit the video when he starts playing simpsons tho .. Ah there it is
That's what a real demonstrator should be playing like! The excellent musician capable to present an excellent musical instrument up to the top heights of its potentials.
Luke Edwards is the keyboard demo king! Thanks for fearlessly playing real tunes. Playing the sounds in context goes a long way.

Attention Korg: Give Luke a raise! He alone has sold so many keyboards for you!

Luke is playing so well
Those strings sound damn good, not cheesy like some keyboards.
@None Hey, can you adjust string resonance, like you can damper resonance? Or is it simply on /off. Cheers.
Luke is a lowkey BEAST at piano
9:25 Luke really went there, lol. I was already sold on it but this really put a smile on my face. I'll be in to my local store for one very soon. See you soon Aaron.
Incredible!
Nice play!
Nice David Foster on the piano demo! Great demo in general. Thanks!
Звук шикарный, а дизайн на любителя. Лайк инженерам KORG.
5:45 he just HAD to do that Bablylon Sisters intro didn't he? Damn you, Korg. Take me wallet now.
God gave me 2 kidneys for a reason 😑
S†. Clou† yeah, what hell, we only need one to live 😂😂
selling a kidney except for purchasing an iphone 11 max pro is illegal in uk
hahahah
I SAW YOUR COMMENT ON A DIFFERENT VIDEO HAHAHA
5:40 Steely Dan - Babylon Sister
What a wonderful instrument
Korg sv 2 is the best instrument❤
sometimes i have ADD but except now this is a great demo video and great piano.Thanks.
Nice board and.GREAT playing.
I can't wait to try it out at NAMM next week.
Can I see this guy play a concert 🤣 he’s better than the youtubers who have millions of followers
It ay be a lovely piano, but Luke's playing is exceptional
What song is that from 7:13?
I believe it's a take on 'Never Too Much' by Luther Vandross
The orchestral sounds have felt beastly in other demos. Its the dual voicing, isn't it
He's not a man, he is a god. What a player.

Hey! What's the title of music from 8:18?
Thanks!
Rob dougan - clubbed to death
What's he playing around 4:05?
How are the effects assigned to the 3 layers? Can you have phase Rhodes + dry piano? Does the tremolo still go mono when using the tube amp?
Now thats a board, wow.
The first demosong with the piano is...?
David Foster, of course... I guessed it myself!
Does anyone know what the settings are/were when Luke played the James Bond title theme? I just got the SV2 and am trying to figure out how to replicate the settings.

But Will you be able to create the layers and splits yourself using the editor in the sv-2 ?

Also I would like to know are the keys close to piano keys?
@Spud Chuffington jones Thank you very much🙏
Why not place the rotor fast/slow knob on the (far) left?
Hi, how does it compare with the Grandstage? Cheers
9:50 😫😫😫
I hope for better acoustic piano sounds (new engine)than the one in the SV1.
Buying simply because dude played some Steely Dan
Rikki don't lose that Korg
AliothSenator Josie don’t lose that korg.
Kooorrrggg, it will come back to you..... it's your favourite foreign keyboard
David Spidel lol
and I'm never goin back to my old koooooooorg
Amen!
sweet
Does the sv2 have seamless transition like the Grandstage ?
Most noticible transitions are from sounds using and not using an amp
Cool piano BUT WHAT WATCH IS LUKE WEARING!?
It wouldnt matter what this board sounded like, that curved top makes it totally impractical for gigging in my opinion. I am always resting an ipad or a setlist or something on top. Even Fender Rhodes ditched the curved top after the Mark1.
It has a music rack that can hold the iPad. I like the curve... it’s stylish, and keeps other musicians from putting their stuff on it.
As soon as he played Steely Dan’s “Babylon Sisters”....take my fucking money!!!!!
Luke demonstrations are so good. Can hardly believe the PMT guy looks so uninterested.
That’s because he’s a knob.
wow awesome
Gréât démo
That jetson song is so hard to play, this guy is quite the player.
imo the design is inspired by the moog polymoog
Someone buy that shop a keyboard stand lol
I want one but so does my cat. She'd be all over it, scratching and licking her arse!
I only have a Yahama piano that I can play music from Ez Voice.
They almost got it right with this thing. Maybe SV3 will be better...
No Mellotron samples?
By using editor yes
Jacek Średnicki ...that's a shame. Mellotron is one of the iconic classic sounds and should be built in as opposed to cheesy string sounds. I mean, if you're going to go to the trouble...
@@gareebee I agree... Maybe when SV-3... comes someday
Not as exciting and chaotic as Jack Duxbury's interaction 😂
Jay Lane yep, it's missing the "Jack factor".
. I really like the piano but why the impractical top panel - I wouldn't buy it because it is impossible to sit a synth or sound module on top of it - as many gigging keyboardists would want to do - it is a really stupid piece of design - for looks rather than practicality - so irritating
Plays Simpsons ......no reaction, sorry I'm buying from Andertons
a demo of a keyboard with on board speakers but using external cords plugged in......useless demo
Everytime Nord, Korg, Yamaha, Roland releases a new model, it just made me laugh.. i know you know the reason😂😂😂😂
??
??
I'm curious....
That speaker grill gives me trypophobia
lmao
this guy has no soul to play
