I'm amazed by how third party companies have been able to make *transformable* figures that are highly accurate to the CGI renders from the movies.
I thought that this would be another Mp scale but OH MY GOD I NEED THIS
And to think it only took them 6 movies to design a good looking Prime.
@@LuucT25Okay real talk, I had no problem with Optimus Primal, was never one of the "Truk not monky" crowd, because the robot mode, the defining characteristic of a transformer, looked great and the show was fantastic. But to me Bayformers look like a pile of car parts and forks tossed in a blender then someone scooped the resulting mess into a vaguely humanoid shape and recycled the same basic plot for 4 movies of reviving Megatron and dealing with the mcguffin of the week. Then whatever Last Knight was, I honestly can't remember and won't put myself through watching it again. Compared to that the designs and storytelling of Bumblebee was a genuine breath of fresh air. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

The back panel doesn't need to be removed in order to transform it, though it certainly makes things easier. Also, the knee has a complex system to allow for much more articulation.

BTW prime vs prime you dont have to remove the back section to transform it its optional
I think he only does it to make things easier.
"It looks very accurate to how Prime looks in the Bumblebee movie" - That statement makes my eye twitch on principal. Prime actually has a different design in his final appearance on Earth in a lot of small details, and it bugs me that a lot of companies seem to just mix and match these design details not noticing this. Unfortunately this toy makes such a mistake - the triangular pieces of red metal on the sides of Prime's windshield pieces are from his Cybertronian form, they're not on his Earth form. But everything else on the toy is from his Earth form, including the windshield wipers which are very clearly NOT on his Cybertronian form, so I dunno how they got those fine details from two separate designs mashed together.
I know it's a very small detail and most people won't care, and I have nothing against them for not caring, but ever since I noticed those differences watching Bumblebee I can't un-see them, and now every time I watch a toy review of a Bumblebee Prime I can't help but look for how accurate the companies are to one design or the other.

Looks amazing. Highly detailed, kinda small, but I won't be getting it. I'd be too afraid with my ham-fisted approach at transforming I'd snap the posts and hooktaps, especially the ones on the wheel arches on the front/back plate.
The reason why I was delicate was because this was an early sample. I believe the final product may be a little more robust.
Would you be able to take a comparison shot between this and Beiwei Commander Cybertron Optimus? They look awfully similar.
@@ptmozart The Beiwei CC Optimus has bullbars in front of the truck grill. You can see it in PrimeVsPrime review of it. and there are some other very subtle differences between them.

I’ve seen sun of the empire transform this figure too, however he didn’t need to parts form the back/truck grill and the shin guards tucked in while in truck mode. Any insight for the different transformations?

You said the magnet "pegs in to" the other magnet haha but seriously great review and this looks like an awesome figure, but it's way too expensive. I would own this for $50 but no more, especially with the partsforming. Do you think you could possibly do it without removing the back piece? Because it looks like it attaches to the same place.
And then said that he was going to be gentle but uses a screwdriver..lol
Thank you! & haha I noticed that and was debating to remove it or not 😭😂 & I think it is possible but it would very difficult the clearance is minimal and would probably cause a rougher experience in all

I think with the size and level of detail on this, The parts forming can be overlooked.

Ohhh, so this is the figure the Baiwei Cybertron Commander was based on. I had thought it was an original Baiwei design, in contrast to their other KOs, since it wasn't actually a KO of SS-38 or SS-102.

The trumpeter model kits probably scale well with this guy. The bumblebee one certainly does.

It looks pretty good and some what inexpensive, the Toy world prime looks good but at the moment I can't afford it but this looks like he might be a keeper
Actually if you look at the official scale with the Bumblebee transformers and the Micheal bay formers you can see that the bee versions are much smaller
That’s what I was thinking I think I’m very okay with this scale for soundwave ironhide and ratchet. I would love to get this but I’m honestly pretty sick of this design especially since they picked the earth mode again
I bought the Baiwei Cybertron Commander, since it’s cheaper and comes with ROTB Accessories, can’t wait for it to arrive!
Edit: do you *have* to remove the front grill? I hate partsforming, so if you don’t, I’ll just glue the piece in.

The Studio Series Bee isn't bad but it's...no proper figure to be standing next to LT Prime. And lord knows WHEN Trumpeter will reveal their BB Prime in color. We'll probably get MPM ROTB Prime before we get Trumpeter Prime at the drip-feed rate we're getting them.

Amazing figure, great transformation, but too small. They should have used that extra plastic in the stands too make the figure bigger.
I think that the scale is intentional for some of their upcoming products

Do you think it's possible to transform without pulling the back all the way out? I mean just pull it out a little so there's enough clearance for transforming, but not that far to be partforming?
If this was SS scale, I believe they could sort this out pretty easily.
For sure I think it’s possible although it’s probably more hassle that’s it’s worth. Leaving it tabbed in would create for minimal clearance and in all a very frustrating experience

If only the could have figured out a way to get that grill into the transformation. That’s a pretty big part in terms of parts-forming. Looks pretty great otherwise.
I do think that it could transform with it, maybe they say that in the instructions due to minor clearence issues?
It’s possible to convert it with that piece attached although the clearance is minimal. We didn’t get instructions with this so it’s more than possible that it’s not really intended to be removed
In my mind My brain is saying (plz cost 30 dollars plz cost 30 dollars plz 30 dollars)
the partsforming panel is certainly a shame but a worthwhile compromise for such a small and detailed figure. This could easily rival the likes of freedom leader.

I don’t know what it is but something is bugging me about this figure. I think it is the feet. They look pointy at the front and that just kinda bugs me.
