- Learn more about intermittent fasting in the November DUTCH Case Study with Dr. Christina O’Brien!
Caloric restriction and intermittent fasting are known to improve health and prolong life in animal models, but in humans it has been studied less. In this case study, Dr. O’Brien examines the before and after data of a 50-year-old perimenopausal female experimenting with intermittent fasting to improve her health and achieve weight loss. She also explores a review of the current literature on intermittent fasting and its impact on women’s hormones.
Living with hypothyroidism was so hard and painful, but thanks to doctor okouromi treatment using herb’s to get rid of thyroid problems❤❤❤❤😂😂🎉🎉😢
Hi Dr. O’Brien! Thank you for the information! I would like to know if IF (any of its forms) is helpful or should be avoided from a woman (37 years old) with fibroids and adenomyosis? Since the aim is to decrease the estrogen receptors, to balance estrogen and progesterone (especially because of estrogen being too high), and to have a positive effect on the growth hormone, IGF so that they do not cause the fibroids to grow. If IF can be beneficial for this, what is the best way to be done? Thank you!
I have no problem intermittent fasting but I am over 40 and would like to conceive. A few months ago I juice fasted for 4 days and fell pregnant but unfortunately miscarried at 7 weeks. I want to balance my hormones and still be able to conceive so I am taking notes. Any suggestions?
I had to hunt around but found a video to suggest you fast upto day 11 of your cycle and then don’t fast until the end of your cycle
Perhaps water only fast with a couple granules Himalayan salt in water to maintain mineral balance. Juice fast feeds glucose so you won't get into healing effect of autophagy. Good Luck.
Dr Mindy also mentions OMAD reduces progesterone levels she recommends at least 2 meals within a fasting window
Dr Mindy is great her book “fast like a girl” is a great read. she should have referenced her just as much as Dave Asprey. You do know that you should not fast when pregnant right? Also sometimes fasting can throw off your thyroid. You want your TSH below 2.2 to keep a pregnancy. Fasting can sometimes cause you to create RT3 rather than T3 which keeps your TSH high because it doesn’t sense T3 because the receptors are being plugged up with rt3. Fasting isn’t for everyone. The last part of the video had the best information for women. Carb cycle, alternate day IF, don’t to too long of a fast. Fast with your cycle, etc.
@Qetesh773. She mentioned important factors in this video (Fat). It is extremely important for women to balance hormones. Check out Dr. Mindy Pelz (fast like a girl). Sh2 teaches women how to fast according to their cycle. Also I was vegetarian /vegan for a very long time and I learn the hard way about the importance of fat and hormones l. That being said please check out Kelly Hogan (myzerocarblife) was told she couldn't have kids and had 3 after going carnivore. There many women who are getting phenomenal breakthroughs with infertility, getting their cycles back etc... also check out Dr. Kiltz (fertility specialist) who is also carnivore. I hope this helps. Keep an open mind because that's important when it comes to getting pass old myths and learning new discoveries.
Awesome info! I would like to help and be part of this kind of study, does anyone know where I can collaborate?
Thank you this was very helpful
