I had this entire series in a 7 CD set n my boyfriend who lived with me for 22 yrs just recently died n we used to watch this show over n over!!! It is interesting, funny, great mystery n Ronald Howard is the BEST Sherlock Holmes ever n H. Marion Crawford is a wonderful Dr. Watson n they play off each other so well n are so fun together it is a pleasure watch!!! Also dug LeStrade as comic relief n one of the police inspectors is also hilarious,,!!!!

The entire series is shown in a very wrong aspect ratio which makes it grotesque and unwatchable. Why? This is just lazy. The only way to view it with pleasure is to download it and use a video converter to correct it, which is a nuisance to have to do and should not have been necessary if your channel had been a bit more careful.

I find this version of SH as good or better than Basil Rathbone and his buffoon Dr Watson. But Jeremy Brett is the best.

Jeremy Brett IS Holmes. He was perfect in every way.
Sorry but for me Basil Rathbone was the definitive Holmes. Just my opinion.
