Its wonderful how they colour and clean up these old movies & the audio seems much improved as well. I use to watch them on late night TV back in the 80's and they were in B&W. They were good then but much better now. They seem much closer to our time now. Not sure Woody Allen would agree as I remember him having a hissy fit back in the mid 80' when they started to colorize old films.

Holmes makes a reference to Izaac Walton. In case anyone doesn't recognize the reference, it's about what made Waltin famous, his work, "The Complete Angler", a book published in 1653, about all the joys and methods of fishing. MCM, M stand for 1,000 and the C stands for 100. The C preceding the M means 100 less than 1000 or 900. That reads as one thousand nine hundred or nineteen hundred.

Those shots of the train on the long curves remind me of as a schoolboy on a school trip ,sticking my head out of the window to have a view of the engine, and having an eyeful of smuts, don’t recommend it,it stings.

It says 1936, but on the intro it says MCMXLVI, which is 1946. Oops!

Now the Mr Holmes has found the missing stone, perhaps he could turn his attention to the curious routing of the Scotch Express from London Euston to Edinburgh. (Or put another way, explain the howler at the 51 minute mark.)

You could upload the adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Basil Rathbone, it is the second one that this actor did where Professor Moriarty diverts the attention of Holmes and Watson in other crimes, in order to steal a jewel and in the end Holmes discovers him and they fight and Holmes finds him. pulls a building. The movie is very good and I would like to see it, if you can put it on I would appreciate it.

Renee Godfrey was the star of this movie in such a background sort of way. Her subtle eye movements and physical actions as this film allowed, made an all to brief appearance in this movie. She seduced a man and a boy in mere minutes, then after this film she practically disappeared to be a mother then died.

The usage of the word “Ms” is totally out of context with the time period this film was made. They were using the verbiage of “Miss”
    I’m referring to the “CC”
Let’s be period correct, not modernistly correct ‼️ 21:07
