Very good video, you clearly have a knack for on-line instructional videos. And a very familiar T-Shirt :) I should do a video to mirror yours using hardware sprites (and perhaps input) only on a much worse machine to work on (The TI-99/4a) to demonstrate what a dream machine the ZX Spectrum Next is to work on! ;)
I had high hopes but then your comment about C finished me. I can barely manage Basic at its most basic. I'm sure I'm not alone in that but thanks anyway.
Can u recommend any RUclips play lists for making a game from scratch on the spectrum next. This video you made looks amazing but I think I need a small project from start to finish.
Jim Bagley has a weekly live stream on his channel where he goes through things from the beginning. They're pretty good. Also there's a Facebook group and a discord channel if you look on the spectrum next website.
The RUclips algorithm seems to think I should watch this, and it's not wrong. It knows me too well. Great talk and presentation. Subbed etc.
This is awesome.
Thanks a lot to all people who made this video possible.

Nicely done matey! :D
Thanks 😃 I can see why BASIC treats sprites simply 🤯
@@ncot_tech haha yeah they are quite intricate, but makes for a powerful sprite system. :)
Very informative, thank you
Great video, reminded me of OLC's excellent explanations.
Awesome and informative. Looking forward to the next video.

This is quite a detailed video. Do you have the manual for the Next? That lets you do sprites in Basic.
Nicely done James. Very thorough, and a good learning curve.

( also, you need a haircut :-P )
@@Xalior had one today 😆
Excellent video, you mentioned a written version, is it available still?
At 23:00 it would have been easier to read if you had put the sprites down the edge and used proper horizontal text.
NICE :)!
