Ive met Marcus a few times. Him and his wife used to come to my restaurant in Arvada Colorado on the weekends and after he came home from tours with mumford and sons. The absolute nicest guy you could hope to run into. My buddy owns a guitar shop up the street from my old restaurant, which we sold in 2017, but Marcus pops in to the guitar shop every now and then. Hes still a humble guy despite the success and fame.
This honestly was what helped me decide to go to therapy. A lot of help from friends and I still have a lot to muddle through. But Mumford’s album brought up a repressed memory and I’m taking steps to take back my days.
I've seen Marcus play 6 times with Mumford and Sons and they were some of the best times of my life. They do not compare to my excitement to see him perform this album solo, though. I will be seeing him open this tour in Boulder on Monday and I just know it will be more than I could ever imagine. Marcus is a truly gifted musician and to see him live is the greatest gift of all.
Outside the lyrical content, which is gorgeous in its own right, the production on this album is just absolutely flooring. There are moments in the production that are so hauntingly beautiful that it invokes almost more emotion than the lyrics themselves
Mumford and sons concert in Michigan was one of the best experiences of my life. The whole crowd singing along to every song. Amazing experience. Excited to get to know this album Marcus
Awesome interview. It explains a lot of where Marcus has been, is, and is heading. Thank you for bringing out the truth about the recording. I've listened to the record, and honestly believe it is his best work, to date. Thank YOU, Marcus, for your steadfast honesty, too, as I can see a changed man before us.
This sounds ridiculous but I feel like I grew up with Marcus. I was a fan from the early early M&S days and I’m 31 now. What a journey he’s been on and you can tell how much more mature and grounded he is now. It’s refreshing. Can’t wait to see him in Portland tomorrow!
I saw Marcus perform way back in 2013 and just this past weekend at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass and the difference is night and day. It is such a blessing to see him so full of joy and life. Thank you for everything Marcus, but especially "How".
WOW, just wow.. what an interview. There was so much in this conversation, that most people can relate to. Gosh, I am so happy I saw this today. (I was watching the St Paul MN concert from 2013 that I was at)
This year has been amazing for music, paolo nutini’s album was chefs kiss and now Marcus Mumfords one as well. Can’t wait to see what else this year has in store
I feel like he’s losing his accent a tiny bit 😢 He sounds so different from when he released little lion man as in when he talks But when he sings on his music he sounds the exact same Amazing work marcus
His bandmate left em and Marcus, Beeing a wise, experienced and enlightened, if I can say so, musician regards this loss as an opportunity to develop a new way of the band’s sound
Words cannot adequately express how much I love Marcus Mumford.
Completely agree.

So interesting Marcus Mumford is a fan of Bryan Stevenson. Bryan is amazing and has contributed so much to the world--as Marcus has as well.

Wait what!!!!!
Is he saying what I think he saying 😢
What does he mean
His bandmate left em and Marcus, Beeing a wise, experienced and enlightened, if I can say so, musician regards this loss as an opportunity to develop a new way of the band’s sound
Can someone tell me if he talks about clairo?
Always thought he was Irish …
So what’s going on? Is he finding himself or something?
Looks like Post Malone if he had found god and lazered off all the tattoos
No…
I can’t unsee that now
zane lowe is the ultimate sycophant
You are so beautiful
I feel we are hearing too much from the interviewer. We really have no interest in your opinion.
Pshycosocial! The clownening has begun! I'm not the only one and no one else can see the desecration of the martyr in me
Isn’t it funny that his wife played in that movie about aspiring young women. That’s funny
Oh, please. The Private Schooling is palpable.Just crawl up him , Zane.
Words cannot express his lack of loyalty, careerism and blandness
Once upon a time i liked this guy- until he threw Winston to the wolves. What a coward.
What does that mean?
@@kara3575it means this guy breathes exclusively through his mouth
@@noahpeters7837 you mean you can't breathe through your mouth and nose? Perfect.
His face is so rideable
God Bless you and yours
