I watched this movie in my teens and fall in love with it. I have watched this movie several times in that age, and never ever missed it whenever they broadcasted it on TV. still I like to watch it my 40s. I really don't understand why this movie not became a blockbuster.

The film that’s going to be in the theater is the Director’s Cut version. The director said that he made some cuts, such as removing unwanted comedy, fights, etc., from the original 2000 Theatrical Version. 🎉

CLAASIC HORROR MUSICAL MASTERPIECE
It is re releasing after 24 years. This trailer shows the essence of the film.. But whn it was originally released there was no clue what the theme of film which was marketed as horror but was an entirely different approach during that time. And music of this film is still top notch..

It's a Nice Mystic Fantasy movie. Great musical tracks, Beautiful cinematography. Acting performances were good too. I liked the movie. But there are two negative points I felt in this movie. They are..:
1, Over the top acting of Mohanlal in certain emotional scenes. (Of course it has nothing to do with his acting skill or style. It was forced by the screen play.) And.. though it's a Fantasy movie, certain areas, It is too exaggerated and feels bit awkward. (It's my personal opinion. Some may disagree and I'm absolutely fine with it).
2. The on-screen looks & chemistry between the pair Jayaprada and Vineeth kumar in the flashback scenes. (They could have casted a younger actress who resembles Jayaprada for the flashback scenes, or else they could have casted a man/boy with a better physique that matches Jayaprada). No disrespect to Jayaprada or Vineethkumar as actors. Not body shaming either She was so convincing with her Physique, charm & Acting in the main plot of the movie. Vineeth kumar & Jayaprada individually performed well in their roles. But, as a pair, that zinc was missing somewhere.
It was kind of shocking to know that such a wonderful movie was a box office disaster
Hey Nona.. Good to see you.. As one of the previous comment said its a nice movie if you take out some addons like comedy and action to make it a commercial movie!! Its about to soul, love and music!! And the cinematography was handled by Santhosh Thundiyil, one of the renowned cinematographer in India who did 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai', 'Waqt', 'Jai Ho','Krish' and lot more in bollywood so the cinematography was top notch!!
Both of them came in together grew together marked their place in the Indian film Industry but unfortunately only one of them still manages to reinvent himself after every movie and the other one keep rereleasing his old good movies to remind people about what he was and keep his fans happy 😂😅 seriously feel so sad and pathetic.

Classic? it was ahuge flop when it got released, we went to the theatre and the guy issuing tickets asked dont you guys have anything else do, and this was the end of first week, its a a silly movie. Its one of lal's worst movies with a 70's storyline. Murali and Lal are wasted in this movie.
