The little wingflaps are something i always see when im watching fledglings demand food from thier parents. I also used to notice it back when i fed insects to the wild sparrows, some started doing the little wing wobbles at me. Idk if its a way of getting attention or if it somehow increases the chance of them getting fed, but i do know its always adorable.

This looks like a Hooded Crow! Crows are Corvids, who in general are very intelligent creatures, so seeing them bond with other animals actually isn't too unheard of. Corvids can use tools, understand things from another creature's perspective, solve puzzles, and more. I'd say that this crow sees the activity as a game of some sort, if I had to guess on a whim! You're very lucky to have bonded with it, intentional or not. :]

I mean, the crow is doing exactly what I've seen all hand-tame and hungry crows we care for do. They all do the adorable wing dance (pidgeons do it too, it's adorable) with their beaks wide open. The caw is also the same one I've heard countless times by now that tells me it's time to feed them, I love that caw, especially when you do stuff some food down their beak and they go from 'caw-caw' to 'caw-nom nom nom' it's the cutest thing ever. That crow LOVES him and expects food from him lol, it's adorable to see, especially since it's already been released into the wild again, usually they slowly become shy of humans again over time. He has to be keeping up a lot of interaction with the bird daily to keep that bond going :)

I know that feeling but with a cat. There was this orange and white cat in my neighborhood that use to go to my front door and call for me. One day she just stopped showing up. I named her Blinx.

@@erikg1510 no not an expert lol but I do know a thing or two about these birds bc they hang out at my mamas house here in the Ozarks. They're beautiful but for some reason the birds that live around her are ginormous 🤣 like the size of medium chickens 🤣 if you interact with them, they learn to mimick that behavior and eventually they begin to display their own weird humanlike characteristics. My grandma owned many many many birds when I was growing up, and my fave had to be the cockatiels but all birds are extremely intelligent. For example I once had an elderly friend that was from France. When I walked into his house his African gray cussed me in 5 languages before greeting me in English 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
