Christopher Walken has made a career out of playing Christopher Walken.
SPOT ON!!👍He's his own character!!!😎
On occasions others have too. Ref: Mohr.
🤣🤣 right
Loved him in the movie Envy.
😂😂😂👏👍
Years later Christopher Walkin was eating in a French restaurant in Paris when the chef came out of the kitchen and asked him if he'd like "more cow bell."
Lmfaoo
I hope he gets that everywhere he goes lol
@@ThisisStephennn
I just hope he didn't mind. By now he's got to be getting tired of it.
lol!
@@chiefsteps-in-poo8447 I saw an interview with walken and he said he was way beyond tired of it
Being a French chef he must have pronounced it as "vould you like more cow balls" :-D
The members of snl in this is Jimmy fallon, chris kattan, chris parnell, horatio sanz, and will ferrell guest star christopher walken
Crazy seeing Parnell that early on the show
@@dustywaynemusic6297 Dr. Spaceman 😉
Jimmy F laughing 😂 it was that funny
@@dustywaynemusic6297 I went to grade/middle school with Chris Parnell in Memphis. He was always a cut up. I doubt if he would remember me. I just about fell out of my chair the first time I saw him on TV. I know that guy! I went to school with him!
@@reneechavarria4554
Jimmy Fallon is more fake than a 3 dollar bill. He's always trying to steal the spotlight by making some kind of scene like laughing to much at a joke when everyone else has gotten the laughter out in rehearsals. Plus I heard he's really a conceited asshole. But I ain't one to gossip so you ain't heard that from me.
I could never listen to that song on the radio the same way again because of this skit with Will wracking the bell with his belly hanging out of his shirt 😂🤣
SAME WITH ME!!
That was the SNL cast trying really hard not to lose it during this sketch! You'll never hear the cowbell the same again!
Mostly Jimmy Fallon who was the easiest to crack...especially in proximity to Will Ferrell who was always trying to break him. ;)
Christopher Walken's character sketches on SNL "The Continental" are pure gold.
Care for some Sham-paan-ye?🍾🥂
I do enjoy Colonel Angus
My favorite is the Census skit, but it's hard to find. Seems as soon as it's posted it gets removed.
One of the best and most brought up episodes of SNL 😂
Ha Ha, right?
This one and the Chippendales skit with Chris Farley and Patrick Swayze!!!🤣🤣🤣
Walken was always great whenever he was on.
When Queens of the Stone Age played Little Sister (another cowbell-heavy song) on SNL, Will Ferrell came out dressed as his character from this sketch and played the cowbell. I got a chuckle out of it.
When you said "Who is that actor?" thousands of voices cried out in unison "CHRISTOPHER WALKEN!" and then groaned when they realized you did not even realize that he existed. Two minutes later you were asking if this was the real Blue Oyster Cult...Did you think Will Ferrel was in BOC? Haha, just glad you got to see this skit.
Haha! Mr. Video, you may remember Christopher Walken (or Bruce Dickinson) in “Pulp Fiction”. He was the Vietnam Army buddy of Butch’s dad, and he came to give a young Butch the watch that his father had shoved up his ass while a POW.
@@Rob-pv4zc So many roles he has played. Some of my favorites...wasn't he the guy playing Russian Roulette in Deer Hunter? He was just a kid back then. He was the mobster in the wheelchair in Things To Do In Denver When You Are Dead, I think. Also, he was the crazy guy that sold our hero the remote in Click, wasn't he? He was probably in about 100 movies total.
@@lessthanlaughing4373 he was held in a wheelchair in Suicide Kings. Damn good movie. Another good one is Seven Psychopaths. "You can't let the animals die in a movie. Only the women." HA!!!
I did !!!!
@@TreeFreak Fatboy Slims music video for Weapon of Choice too because of his dancing skills
This skit was extra funny live because we didn’t know it was about the cowbell until it was about the cowbell.
Ferrell and that damn shirt 🤘🏻🤣😂 my favorite muffin topped male😂
Gene: How much cowbell do you need?
Bruce: Yes
Almost 20 years later, this still cracks me up.
20 years?!? Holy 💩 it does not feel like it was that long ago.
Damn where did the time go!
100 years from now, we’ll still need more cowbell!
Jimmy Fallon couldn’t even keep it together. This was too funny.
I swear almost every skit he did he broke character and laughed 😅
@@laurenherda2415 - Fallon's best acts were in the recurring SNL Barry Gibb Talk Show with Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake. There it was Fallon trying Timberlake to break character.
Fallon pretty much starts laughing in every sketch.
Now anytime you hear this song youll hear that damn cowbell.
I never even noticed the cowbell in the original song. After this skit, it's all I hear.
I never noticed it either and would argue with people that it wasn't there. my dad made me sit in the car and listen carefully until i conceded that there was indeed a cowbell in the song. I was never so mad and still won't say I'm wrong.
It's the perfect amount of cowbell. Enough to do the song justice and add a little something, but not too much to make it too obvious it's there (unless maybe one is a drummer and listening for it).
Yeah, it's not that prominent in the mix. Really honestly, "Mississippi Queen" by Mountain would've been a better pick for this sketch.
It’s not there, but my mind hears it.
how you not notice the bell LUL
Finally! A true classic! You’ll never hear “Don’t Fear the Reaper” the same way again.
Now you have to check out Will Farrel- Chad Smith drum off. Chad Smith is the drummer for The Red Hot Chili Peppers.
SNL Celebrity Jeopardy is classic as well. Will Ferrell plays Alex Trebek in all of the skits
AN ALBUM COVER. LOL!
Let it snow ❄ 🤣
Don’t forget the incomparable Turd Ferguson, lol!
suck it trebek!
“I’ll take whore ads for $200, Alex!”
Christopher Walken my favorite actor. This skit is so simple and funny.
Weapon of Choice! Pray ya already covered this my man.
Good lookin out on the like too, appreciated.
Chris a killer! His ability to play with or against his 'known place" is flat amazeballs.
what i want is a prequel to Man On Fire. i wanna see what those 2 guys were up to before Creasy took a job as a bodyguard.
His "continental" sketches are so cringe- funny :D
"Step Brothers" movie, featuring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly one of the funniest comedies ever.
Ever. Ever. Ever.
OK! Yes! Now that you're familiar with Christopher Walken, please consider reacting to the song Fatboy Slim - Weapon of Choice. I've never seen anyone react to it and Christoper Walken is awesome in that video. He's a dancer from way back! ❤️
Yes yes yes!! Please do that!
Dancing his ass off!
Great dance moves. ✌
YES!!!
YES YES YES!!!!!!!
"I gotta have more cowbell!" Has become one of the most iconic lines ever-at least it is in my life, lol
This skit is fucking AMAZING lol clothing in the 70s was worn tight, so Will Ferrell went EXTRA with it lol
Christopher Walken is LEGENDARY!!
Christopher walken says this has messed up his life because ppl constantly repeat that line to him EVERYWHERE
SNL was so much more a part of our culture back then. This is a prime example. That Monday at school, several kids, including me, carried mini cowbells around all day.
Yeah growing up I loved SNL. Now it sucks incredibly
It’s when they didn’t suck cowbells .
The comedic talent in that room at that moment is astounding.
It really isn't.
I like Chris Parnell better as Jerry Smith on Rick and Morty
@@missyriley2099 Lol Nice.... Cyril from Archer is my favorite Chris Parnell. 😂
When they rehearsed this sketch, Will Ferrell was wearing a different shirt and it was not getting many laughs so they almost cut it. But then he just put on that too-small sweater and it became hilarious. Costume is important!
But SNL does It Live Infront Of The
LIVE Audience
They Did The Sketch Practicing It
But Only Did This Once Live In A Full Audience
That's What SNL Is
Live and Direct
No Cuts
No Retakes Once It's Perfomed Infront Of The Audience
@@cjturner370 yes 'rehearsal' is another name for practice. they do rehearse every sketch
OMG!!! You listened to us!!! MORE COWBEL!!! THANK YOU and Let's GOOOO!!! :)
I can't hear a cow bell in any capacity without seeing Will Ferrell in my mind.
This one is a classic lol will Ferrell’s facial reactions get me every time
OMG! The music video for *“Weapon of Choice” by Fatboy Slim* is a much needed follow up! 😎😂
Classic skit... here's a fun fact, when Queens Of The Stone Age performed on SNL, they had Will Ferrell as Gene playing the cowbell years later so technically he isn't dead, he just changed personalities
I saw it and it was awesome!
😊😎🤘
Fun fact: Will Ferrells dad was a keyboardist and saxophonist with the righteous brothers.
👏💖😊YESSSS!!!!! You Did it!! Now you know why we are always yelling "More Cowbell" in our comments!!
Christopher Walken is the love of my life, LOL!! Has been since I was 13!!
Next Movie: "TRUE ROMANCE"!! He does one of the best scenes I've ever seen....but it's got some really really offensive language in it, but it works 😊
None of them had seen him in the shirt. He didn't where it during dress. That's why they were already starting to laugh. Not that Fallon could ever keep it together. Classic!!
You can always count on seeing Will Ferrell in some form of undress in his films - very unashamedly funny!
The older guy coming through the door is Christopher Walken. 😍
More Cowbell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! rotflmao
Yeassss! Hysterical 😂 another favorite. You get all in that riff and then open mouth brief shock and laugh at cow bell. And then you gave it cowbell too! This was a great watch.
So many classic SNL moments...this is hilarious!! 😂😂
People don't understand what a hugely popular punchline that was for a while -- "More cowbell!"
I love how Will Ferrell uses his weight! 😹
Will Farrell is NOT ashamed to show his "Dad bod" off! He has a scar on the lower side of his abdomen which enhances the hilarity of it too!
Christopher walkin gets me every time lol😅😅
When he was The Continantal.
The woman kept trying to escape the room.😅
*Walken
I can't help but laugh, then Jimmy Fallon playing drums and he can't help but laugh in the background makes it funnier.
Also check out Dave Chappelle's R.Kelly "Piss on you" hilarious
This SNL sketch will never not be hysterical and one of their best sketches in almost 50 years of being on the air. Hysterical!!😆
Will Ferrell the Landlord is one of his funniest skits.
That was a personal video was it not? Not an SNL skit
They're all SNL cast (except host Christopher Walken) playing Blue Oyster Cult members except Gene/Will Ferrell who is fictional. So he didn't actually die but people still give their condolences to the real band because of this sketch haha.
The funny part about this song is the skit is similar to how it actually happened. apparently a producer had heard the song and said they should add more cowbell.
Yea, I have a feeling that there is more truth than fiction here... And that makes it even more funny. All embrace the Cow Bell!!!
“He lived a long life” ... dyslexic with math too eh brother? Lol much love.
Will Ferrel is so funny to me. I just look at him, and I already start laughing just thinking about what dumb shit he is going to do or say 😂
*brilliant shit
I love Funny or die's Pearl the landlord. He's too funny.
Same lol 🤣
@@kierstenridgway4634 I have to watch it every time I see him!

If you're gonna react to snl skits you have to do "Van down by the River"
Yes!
Yes this and Debbie downer
Yessss!!! Chris Farley classics!
Yes please!
Oh please, yes!
This is so Iconic. My brother in law got me a cowbell for Christmas because I love this skit so much. Lol
"He lived a long life" he was 50 lmao
It's all a matter of perspective, I guess. In some neighborhoods, you're lucky if you reach 21!
Im just saying, if I die at 50, I want a "he was gone too soon" not "he lived a long life" lol
May you be blessed with long and happy life well beyond 50 years @Ethan Post! ❤
The SNL skit Close Encounter cracks me up every time.
Is that the skit where 3 people are being debrief after alien encounters? The lady sitting with legs, um, not closed & smoking?
@@Ella-iw7xn Yes, the one with Ryan Gosling. Hilarious!
@@prios8 Yes 👍 😅
You taking this back to the year 2000 and this is top 3 if not all time greatest snl skit!!!
This is a classic! I was watching this the other day and after all these years it still cracks me up 😂😂
Have you seen the Schweddy Balls snl skit with Alec Baldwin? Classic
Lovvvvvvvve it!!
How did they keep a straight face???
Classic SNL 👍🏼🤣
A Classic !! 🤣
Pleased do!
I knew this song from long before this skit came out but anytime I hear it now all I can think about is Christopher Walken saying he had a fever that could only be cured with more cow bell.
Leo, check out SNL-Chippendales Audition with Patrick Swayze and Chis Farley. You'll love it
I recently saw a "More (cowbell picture)" bumper sticker. Made me laugh 15 minutes. Brightened up my day.
Christopher Walken is one of my favorite actors...he played in Deer Hunter! Christopher Walken aka Bruce Dickinson..Bruce Dickinson is the lead singer of Iron Maiden. Will Ferrell teamed up with Chris Kattan to make one of favorite movies "A Night at the Roxbury" "What is Love"-Haddaway..greatest spoof ever by SNL!
One of my fav SNL skits of all time....Seasons don't fear the reaper, nor do the wind, the sun and the rain
Leo, now everytime you heart cowbell in a song you'll think of this like the rest of us. 🤣 You're welcome! This is one of my favorite SNL skits EVER! Will Farrell & the incomparable Christopher Walken along with Jimmy Fallon who can never keep a straight face! Classic!
Jimmy Fallon breaking character? You don't say... ;)

Night at the Roxbury, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby are my favorite.

I’ve listened to Don’t Fear the Reaper thousands of times but after SNL did this skit every time I hear the song I hear “more cowbell”.
I've never seen this before and was laughing hysterically along with you! This was so funny, great pick!
He really didn't have a choice on this one😉 Ever since he reacted to the actual song, all we've been doing is leaving "More Cowbell" references in our comments!!!! 😁I think the curiosity got the best of him!!!👍😂🤣😂🤣
My all time favorite SNL skit. I even used it in a corporate presentation LOL. You are too funny!

Christopher Walken famously dances through this entire video! The song is "Weapon of Choice" by Fatboy Slim featuring Bootsy Collins (the black bass player in the Dee-Lite "Groove Is In The Heart Video" - worked with James Brown) directed by Spike Jonze.
PLEASE do this; Walken is the love of my life, lol! He's from Queens, NY and started out as a song and dance man on the stage; he is a phenomenal dancer; got to react to the "Weapon Of Choice" video by Fatboy Slim; a 2-fer; banging song and my love dancing!!

@@jacqueline4514 Definitely Fan Girl! 🤣 I love it! I would have done the same! I bet that was an amazing show. I really would have loved to see it! I truly believe that the stage separates the good actors from the great actors. Much like bands can can perform live just as good as in a studio. I love going to plays & muscials to see the real uncut, unedited, no stuff added... just ACTING. Christopher is a huge talent & easy on the eyes as well. 😉
Yes; Walken started out his career as a dancer. 😁
Anchorman, Talladega Nights, old school, step brothers, night at the Roxbury, get hard, elf... all funny as hell starring Will Ferrell

"Is this the real band?"..."SNL spoofs alot of stuff"...umm...they spoof everything.
When SNL has the real people, it is almost always a 'reveal' when the bartender turns around or something. You can tell it is the real person because the audience does a 30 second applause.
I still have this originally recorded off TV on VHS from back in 2000! Crazy how legendary this skit became.
Will purposely put on a different smaller shirt than he had on during dress rehearsal just to make the guys laugh.
