I took off Aerith's HP up & MP up and replaced it with Synergy and Comet, but other than that brilliant build. Finally beat it. Thank you. Kept getting munched by Gigaworm, then couldn't even get past Kid G most of the time before this.

i did 4 diff strategies and they were fairly easy till i got to a particular monster and got my a** handed to me then i used this build...took me 2 tries...youre awesome bruh, keep up the hard work

I used your video as a guide except i took the set up from cloud to Yuffie and used magic with doppelganger, level 3 magic hit 4 times as hard and eliminated enemies faster!
Great vid; I ended up just having two elemental spellcasters (Aerith & Cloud) instead of petrify since I wasn't able to make it work for me. Magnify x Healing helped for me as well (not really the biggest fan of prayer, just preference), and I gave Tifa Chakra. Hardest fight may have been the one with the Irasceros, just because it can be very obnoxious with charging in constantly and being relentless when striking down party members. I had some difficulty in the final round, but I ended up completing it today in under 10 minutes. I don't think the game does the best job explaining things, specifically certain "abilities", so in my prior attempts, the Diabolic Variant would start sniping party members and I was unsure what triggered this ability, or how to react to it, but I'm just happy I can put this challenge behind me.
It took me a few hours, but changing Steadfast and adding Healing materia in its place for Aerith did the job for me. Otherwise, I did the same strat and it did wonders! Thanks!
the hard mode in remake was hard like that. So i was expecting these to be annoying. Its like dark souls and elden ring bosses. Only the simulator brutal and legendary challenges is like fighting malenia in elden ring without cheesing her with blood loss.

Bro this guide saved my ass. Had to change the defensive materias for healing or Nothing since i have just one Armor with 8 slots but it took me 4 Tries its kinda hard when the enemies dont stand together or interrupt aerirh and she hast just 1 ATB. But hell yeah it worked Well. Thx❤❤❤

I was able to get up to round eight, but the worm devoured me. I couldn’t tell what your strategy was in the video because it was too fast. Did you put quake on him and then blizzard?
They aren’t really grouped together. Are you targeting the right one first? And I’ll review this and include a build with some healing and revival soon.
No disrespect, but this seems more like a video showcasing your skills rather than a guide. You show your build at the end which includes no sort of sustain (heals/revive, etc) and so it depends heavily upon the skill and strategy of you actually using certain abilities or looking out for certain attacks/weaknesses during the fight which isn't explained in the description nor narrated. I still get tossed with this build - probably because I don't understand the main purpose here. Arcane Ward for the double-cast is the only self explanatory part based on other guides I've seen for some other ones. I finally beat Hellions with a Quaga/Stop build using Cait Sith but I'm guessing more than just Kid G is immune to stop since magnify stop isn't featured here.
None taken. I’ve always called myself a decent player and don’t really showcase my skills. I do two types of videos: 1. Where I just complete something and show a strategy to do so and 2. Where o do a step by step guide on how to get the job done. This is #1 here :)
You can make this alot easier if you use siphon limit and mop up the mobs on first stagger with clouds limit break. Also huge element of luck. Enemy position when casts go off is critical.
I almost beat 10 rounds but I died!!!!! I checked this again and looked at your materia. I'm realized that you have third material of ATB stagger materia... How do you get third? even Magnify Materia, How?
It didn't work out, LOL! I managed to beat it with removing everyone's block for atb boost Materia and gave everyone a chakra, pray and revive Materia. Got it on the first try with that setup.
I use Unfettered Fury to increase her Chi to Rise and Fall and then use True Strike when the enemy is staggered. Pressing triangle to attack in between.
Kid G is the worst part of this challenge. The difficulty of the Round 9 cactuars is an appropriate elevation of difficulty, but Kid G is more difficult than every single other fiend besides them, in this challenge, and every other VR battle up to this point
Kid G is easy. Just avoid him until he does Goblin Punch or does his aerial attack. If you attack him right afterwards, you’ll pressure him. Continue to stagger and then finish him off
That cactaur one was hella good luck. Their position is a huge deal and if youre unlucky they are on opposite sides of the arena or suddenly dash away its pretty much game over.

@@akhafasuI just finished using your guide. I'd still prefer Chakra over Prayer because the number of times I was desperate for ATB so I could heal was too many. Party wide is great and all but using Chakra helps with the ATB Assist.
@@SkotKozB5 pray was good for remakes hard mode as it heals the entire party without mp. While chakra only heals the one using it. so in clutch moments pray can save your ass in the hard mode fights when a full team heal is needed. that was how i completed remakes hard mode.
I'll be 100% honest with you: I have absolutely no idea how that happened 😂😅 I think this was a bug but it got removed in the latest patch. Because I remember being able to connect magic on another occasion and not get reflected.
@@akhafasu so I found a loophole to the reflect - step inside the ward and target the dragon with your linked magnify spells. Both enemies will be targeted, but the bull won't reflect because the spell wasn't casted on him.
You can put one of them to sleep and focus on the other one; it also helps using the "aga" spells. They may evade one, but usually the second one should connect assuming you're using Aerith. Playing aggressively before they stand back up is usually the key
Kid g ruining my life. He just doesn't chase me as easily as he ran after you he goes right for a char I'm not controlling... These are the worst segments in gaming history it's not even fun. I've platted bloodborne, souls games etc good healthy challenge, these are atrocious

How did you not get reflected in round 6? I tried and it always puts it back on my party
No idea honestly. Perhaps because the enemies were close together

That happens too. Sometimes an enemy just something crazy that messes everything up. In your case, what seems to be the issue?
@@akhafasuit can range from spells not doing enough damage or the worm using swallow various things I just massively unlucky

Why is everyone using Pray now? It's still just as bad as it was in Remake.
It heals decent without consuming MP
@@akhafasuI just finished using your guide. I'd still prefer Chakra over Prayer because the number of times I was desperate for ATB so I could heal was too many.
Party wide is great and all but using Chakra helps with the ATB Assist.

Pray can be awsome if you can manage to get all the ATB bars, which requires a whole other build with yuffie spamming brummal form
@@SkotKozB5 pray was good for remakes hard mode as it heals the entire party without mp. While chakra only heals the one using it. so in clutch moments pray can save your ass in the hard mode fights when a full team heal is needed. that was how i completed remakes hard mode.

I think this was a bug but it got removed in the latest patch. Because I remember being able to connect magic on another occasion and not get reflected.
@@akhafasu so I found a loophole to the reflect - step inside the ward and target the dragon with your linked magnify spells. Both enemies will be targeted, but the bull won't reflect because the spell wasn't casted on him.

Yeah they can be really bothersome 😑
You can put one of them to sleep and focus on the other one; it also helps using the "aga" spells. They may evade one, but usually the second one should connect assuming you're using Aerith. Playing aggressively before they stand back up is usually the key
