i started out my first toon as a dungeon picker, between this and scavenger i think is a great way to learn the server, learn the dungeons, learn mob aggro mechanics and get money to get you started, funding builds etc, cheap to make and you never die. But these days im not so sure, so many pickers out there its hard to even find chests. That being said, he's right, necro is definitely easier to play than a dexer. My bleed dexer chiv dude is like tier 10 aspect and i still have problems farming down level 3 in dungeons by myself. Compared to my necro who can go out and farm pretty much anywhere in the game and im like tier 6 eldritch/void aspects only.

Hey Gray! I hear you haha. You are exactly right. I'm looking forward to your video soon! As Pwnstarr always says, "The more content out there about Outlands, the better." Lets keep em coming!
i have mixed feelings about this video. the advice itself is super great and its a huge kickstart to the server. otherwise its not the best idea to throw a newbie to SSC. and when you once seen how much drops there you can never go to another place, so you are stuck in SSC until another dungeon is released. :D
SSC is addictive. Hopefully we get level 4s in all the other dungeons soon! Ossuary 3 has been good lately. It might be fairly difficult for a newer player for sure.
There is better\equal drops outside of ssc, what really matters is how much dps and gph u are doing. I can go to any dungeon, almost any floor and make insane gph. Thats the cool thing about uo, you can basically play any build, and go anywhere you want with similar returns. I think if someone has no idea what they are doing and has never played uo this might be a challenge, and require some learning and other efforts before getting to ssc, but if you have at least some idea of what your doing, this is doeable.
From NEW! Guild. ive played a summoner/necro before got to tier 12 eldritch just not for me. Back to my bard dex i guess i seem to enjoy it the most. Great thing about UO is any build is possible and most importantly having fun and enjoying your time here.
Interesting, i might try the death build out :). I have been playing a necro\summoner builds for about a year (NoxNecro currently). I have soloed the emperor's madness miniboss in Forsaken Keep. There are about 10 mobs that spawn on a short timer in that room in addition to the boss so it is pretty challenging. I completely agree that starting with a summoner gets you to end game content significantly faster then a bard dexer\pure dexer. We have something in common, I started as a provo bard and it took weeks to get started, this is before the dungeon\mob rework, but it was very fun lol. Overall summoner builds with double mummy are extremely powerful even at newb levels and adding a significant amount of dmg on top of it over time makes any content doeable.
Flash back to the days on Catskills. I was an Anti-PK Lumberjack that after a few weeks the PK's more or less made a deal with me. It was me, with max lumberjacking a few pots/aids. I'd show up at Despise as that's were they'd all gank the newbies. Got to a point where I'd just chunk away Pk's HP and they'd go running off. I did get a few kills but it wasn't that I was killing PK's left and right, I was just so much of a pain in the butt to them because I have VERY little on me and my trusty double sided axe (this thing at the time was clean when it hit and it hit LOTS). So I did back off on them for a while, ended up making friends with Toft and a few others from the bAgOk tRiBe (something along those lines). Dabbled in their trolly ways and learned how to fish for people.... Cast Moongate to the main banks, await some new player to randomly run into it (think this was before the "are you sure?" prompt). We'd have 6 others on the other side with Crop Por pre cast... they never had a chance. Great to see this game still alive. Wish I had time to get back into it...
Nice, I already had this exact build but had no idea about the reflect aspect with mummies and was running lich + mummy. It's a game changer in SSC for sure.
It really is. I can't wait to play around with the reflect when level 4's come out. Another fun combo is double daemon set to ranged. If you select the 12 point talent that increases the damage by 75% over time it really adds up! If you want to take it to a whole other level, try adding Music/Discord to the build in place of Wrestle/Eval.
Is this build still relevant? I have a necro summoner death aspect 13 and also 120 poisoning, with poison aspect at 11. I had 120 herding back before I swapped it for poisoning. I grow weary of poison, though I have a lot invested in damage to poisoned creature links. I still have 60 herding but wonder if it might be worth it to push herding back to 120. To do this I would have to drop spirit speak down from 120, or poisoning down from 120. Any suggestions?

I would personally drop Wrestling OR Eval Int. Your summons are your main source of damage and safety so the stronger they are, the better. Dropping eval int will reduce YOUR spell damage but forensic eval ( skinning) comes with a 25% buff to YOUR damage. This is the route I would personally go.
There is no wrong build. The best i ever had was an Archer. I wiped out hundreds and hundreds of reds who would try and steal a champion spawn from me. They learned quick to leave me alone or id take their gear before you could insure items. Lol😊
If you look at the first 10 minutes of the video it shows the skills, and the stats. This video isn't meant to teach you Ultima Online in general. Its a new player build guide as it says in the title. Do you see the middle of the screen where it shows all the skills for the build? Do you see the right side of the screen with the stat bar showing 100 str, 25 dex, and 100 int? If you want to learn the basics of Ultima Online I would suggest searching for specific videos that are made for that content. Good luck. ruclips.net/video/nufU3pF2ar4/видео.html

I dont disagree but I also have videos explaining how to get off the ground from scratch. That wont be in a video like this. Check the rest of the channel. Thanks Toby. Im not really certain how a brand new character is going to make a million per hour with no aspect and chain while lock picking however. Do tell. I run a harvest picker and dont come close to that due to the amount of other pickers.
Hi Dallas, As I was saying at the start of the video, there has been a lot of debate over what build to start with. Lately, even months ago, I find new players asking what to start as, what build or skills to work on. No one can seem to agree on one path. In my experience, when I suggest this build, I find most people are confused and are not aware of how strong a starting build this actually is. That being said, I also find that it gets pushback and disagreement because people feel strongly about their preferred builds. This specific starter build has been controversial in my circles for months.
Been playing this server for 2 years. Before this video literally everyone would tell you to start off as a bard dexxer. This was controversial but it made a huge impact on the community so it isn’t anymore..but this video was the catalyst to that change

@@Rustweaver Hi Joe, depends on what you would like to prioritize. You can certainly remove herding and put foresnic but youll find your pet damage severely lacking. I would personally drop Wrestling OR Eval Int. Your summons are your main source of damage and safety so the stronger they are, the better.
Dropping eval int will reduce YOUR spell damage but forensic eval ( skinning) comes with a 25% buff to YOUR damage. This is the route I would personally go.
hey mate. are you on twitch?
Hey Chomrik! I do not stream but I might in the future.
@@A-Straw-Hat great content man :) enjoy the vids
EZ WORK!!
🤣
Does it work well in other level 3 dungeons?
Very much so.
I have been using earth elem…no more
is this still a good build after the recent patch?
Yep. It wasn't nerfed the way people think it was. Very strong still.
What Links would you suggest for this build?
Hi Trent.
Effective Necromancy >
@@A-Straw-Hat Thank you was struggling to decipher if Follower dmg and attack speed was relevant but saw a few people mention 10x bronze necro chains
Thanks for this…
Is this build still viable in January 2024?
yes. Very much so.
@@A-Straw-Hat If I wanted to sub 80 Music and 80 Discord into this build would I sacrifice wrestling to do so?
@@TheFingerfoods Hey man, I actually have another video on this setup. Take a look.
You prefer this to tamer?
I like it more than tamer but I believe its not quite as strong. Taming is currently far overtuned at the moment.
@@A-Straw-Hat well wheres your tamer vid?! ^^
@@DB1_2 Coming out with a new dungeon!
Need new version :) they 've change summoners tome etc :)
There is no wrong build. The best i ever had was an Archer. I wiped out hundreds and hundreds of reds who would try and steal a champion spawn from me. They learned quick to leave me alone or id take their gear before you could insure items. Lol😊
This completely doesn't tell me "how" to start a new char as a new player, what stats to set, skills etc
Good luck.

The skills and stats are on the screen
i swear i am looking at these videos and think that shit looks sick i wanna play it to but even tho this is an educational video i have no fucking idea what is happening and how to play 😂
First toon should be a lock picker at gm u can easily turn a mil per hr u can't make whatever u want u need funding very few people will pay for your toon s gear cores codes and chains
New players doesn’t have those spells.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand nerfed lol
Nope. Works great still. Tested it myself :)
How is this Controversial? LoL why make click bait statements when you could just put new player build and would get more views
Hi Dallas,
As I was saying at the start of the video, there has been a lot of debate over what build to start with.
Thank you for your effort man, watching your guides and vids is a pleasure.
Wanted to contact you on discord but can't find the nick you use there @TheTmost
Hey bud! Idk how this didn't trigger a notification when you commented but if you search A Straw Hat on discord you should be able to find me!
Thanks for the kind words sir.
So I was wondering if this still Relevant, I see lots of people saying tamer in discord. I just came back been doing a lot of reading I started day 1 of game played for like 6 months, I lost my house everything only have a lock picker 104 and I was using stealth archer with shadow aspect back in day. Trying to figure out best way to start making gold again.
It is very relevant still! If you want to really get moving, look at my other death necro video with barding. Use the mummies in ak4 or any high damage locations. Go crazy :)
I was just at ssc with my lvl 10 nix necro
Made about 25k in about 30 min
Can not wait for lvl 15
