Love them all! But one street food I became addicted to on my last visit to Puglia was panzerotto, especially in Polignano a mare! It’s similar to calzone but not exactly the same. Anyway, as always, love your videos. Ciao.
Che divertimento! I visit my family every couple years in Rome and I always take cooking lessons there!! I just love this list! All of the favorites! GRAZIE BELLA VALENTINA! Do you have a recipe for the stuffed olives? My father is from San Vito lo Capo and loves this kind of food! Would love to surprise both parents if I can find a recipe!! Laura Maria
Unfortunately I don't have a recipe, as I currently live in the area of Ascoli Piceno, so I can find them so easily here that I've never bothered making them myself 😅😅 But if you google "olive ascolane ricetta" you will easily find them!
The Arabs never took over the whole Island. The greek speaking sicilians still held the northern part of the island, until the Normans arrived around 1050 . This was orchestrated by the Pope , after the Normans helped him defeat the last Byzantine army. Three thousand Normans defeat 30,000 Muslims. Then they formed a government which included all three factions. The Norman King is still celebrated in Sicily, ROGER II . It was a golden age for Sicily. I lasted almost 200 years
Brava, Valentina! Si, sono davvero affamato. My mouth is watering! Your description of each item is wonderful. Being vegetarian I'm anxious to try the chick pea crackers, and will be sure to track down a food truck when visiting Italy this coming June. Thanks, as always. Your videos are superb!! ✨ M
If you eat eggs and dairy (so not vegan), many of these are often offered in a vegetarian version (eg. pizza al taglio, arancini con spinaci e formaggio,...). You can ask the vendor, nowadays is much easier to find vegetarian (and even vegan!) options in Italy!
That you are proud of where you are from and fiercely defend everything about it makes me smile. I get the feeling that you are usually sweet and nice, BUT I think you can change if someone steps out of line. It's not a bad thing, just an observation.
Arancini is my favorite street food. Riccio pistacchio is my favorite sweet. Though I only ever saw it at a bar one morning in Catania. Btw I love Siracusa. Ortigia😍
Ciao Valentina Have you heard about or considered Farinata as a Street Food? It’s original, I believe is Liguria. Chickpea flour is the base. Excellent esp. in Chiavari. You probably can tell me a few things about it that I don’t know. Thanks for your 10 selections. Jerry
Unfortunately, the video transcript has the incorrect spelling of the foods. I had to look on the internet and enter the names as near as I could to the correct spelling.

@@ItalianTeacherValentina Grazie infinite! We'll seek out those many options when in Italy this spring. 😋 Ciao!
