MRAPs are waaaay heavier than 13k lbs. their almost entirely pure steel (without armor) and when they have armor they have several thousand lbs of additional weight.
That accuracy is genuinely terrifying, especially when you think of how fast fighter jets be flying

@@younesLucilfer pretty sure it’s just a lot of math. There’s a computer in the jet that takes all the factors into account and tells the pilot when to drop the bomb.

A 'kinetic energy warhead weapon, is a projectile weapon based solely on a projectile's kinetic energy to inflict damage to a target, instead of using any explosive, incendiary, payload.
All kinetic weapons work by attaining a high flight speed - generally supersonic or even up to hypervelocity - and collide with their targets.
Not much 'bang for the buck' but probably useful when avoiding 'collateral damage'.

Anything is lethal if you give it speed. Even a toothpick could puncture glass pane.
*Context:* Inert bombs use MK80 series bomb cases and are loaded with cement fill to replicate the flight characteristics of the live version of the bomb. These bombs are used for training by both the USAF and the Navy.
Stay out of other countries, stop working for izrahel and wall street.

That's a 1-2 ton bomb moving at roughly 700 miles per hour. That's roughly 50,000,000 (50 million) Joules of force, or 25 times the force of an average SUV moving at 100 mph.
That's a lot of energy, explosive or not!
Not to mention, the armored vehicle might be minus several-hundred pounds with all the various rounds it already has sustained.

@@smartboy20070 Yes, that is the expected maximum velocity of the bomb, dropped from anywhere higher than 3,000 feet. If I am not mistaken, it would appear to be GBU-10 Paveway-II, a laser-guided bomb introduced in the 70s, or a very similar variant of laser-guided bomb.
The additional "head" on the tip of the bomb is a laser illumination detector.
As seen in the video, the accuracy of these bombs is excellent, with a variable of 3.6 feet it is accurate enough to destroy most any target it is aimed at with extreme discretion.

Everything else gets political. Take homeless people for example. Democrats have for years believed they have the right to live their life the way they want to. Republicans believed they should be forced to get help or if drug addicted go to jail. So it turns into a political fight about who is right. California sort of solved this particular problem. Gavin Newsome recently told the mayor of LA to clean up the city to which the mayor replied they needed more facilities with locking doors for those who don't wish to get treatment. Typically this type of training is done with someone on the ground using a laser set on the target to practice supporting on ground troops.. when they don’t have guided bombs.

Its involved everywhere in this video. If i am not mistaken these are laser guided bombs, if you put a laser on something and drop the bombs in that general direction(ofc with some precision involved), the bomb should drop right where the laser points.

you don't think they just drop it out of the plane, right? there are guidance systems on that bomb. those wings articulate and steer the projectile left right up or down in its trajectory. pilot is skilled, but he's not dropping a brick onto a car from 10-40,000 feet. you couldn't even see your target at these heights.

The Sabot rounds are solid projectiles.
Tanks also still use HEAT

Strategic bombers hit production fields hence the lower rate of accuracy, because they are hitting producing fields.
Attack bombers carries less payloads, hence their better accuracy, and therefore, way more used in accurate 100*100 meters or 80*80 meter strikes. (using grids) These attack bombers also stoop low, while strategic bombers are way up thousands of meters in the sky.

I think all of the bombs shown here are guided by laser or gps but I could be wrong. A size able percentage of the bombs Israel has dropped are dumb bombs without guidance which they should be able to afford to forego. They have also used 2000lb bombs which are practically the largest bombs available and produce too large an explosion to warrant use in a densely populated area like Gaza.
These are GBU-12 guided bombs, so yes very accurate even against moving targets. But most countries still use conventional bombs as well. With modern bombing computers they’re still much more accurate than they were years ago but not warheads-on-foreheads accurate like these are.
Not many people know that the AIM 9 sidewinder (air-to-air heat seeker) uses a proximity fuse. Once it's within so many feet of the target, an explosion releases steel rods that are chained together. The rods expand out and colide with the target at Mach 2 plus the speed of the launching aircraft. My point is no explosives are used against the enemy aircraft, just steel rods. Also, it's called the sidewinder because it tracks the heat signature and calculates attacking from the side to maximize potential damage
Id have figured just about all air to air munitions use a proximity fuse, if there's explosives and enough room, it's getting that fuse. Chaining the rods together just reminds me of a remake of old school chain shot for cannons, which makes sense when trying to target aircraft. Less individual holes and more complete dismemberment.
With a very few exceptions that use kinetic energy on impact to destroy the target (like the THAAD) all anti-air missiles use proximity fuses, including SAMs, from Stinger to S-400.
The V-750 missiles of the old SA-2/S-75 system detonated 60 m (200 ft) from target. Which makes in movies the missile passing the target by a meter somewhat weird, but those are movies after all.
