    Had surgery with Dr F in 2011. I thought my nursing career was over before I had surgery. Did take a sabbatical from practicing for 2 years to recover stamina but it's 2018 and I can work 40+ hours a week. God bless Dr Feigenbaum! .

    I’ve been in pain almost 5 years! I was BEDRIDDEN! The pain was so bad I physically, mentally, and emotionally shut down. I had an mri done a few months ago and was told I had a cyst. I didn’t think it meant anything UNTIL I received a steroid shot in my tailbone area where the cyst was, now I’m suddenly ALIVE AGAIN!!! I’m crying right now because I thought I was DYING!!!

    I was just getting a mri done and noticed they didn’t tell me about the Tarlov cyst. Mine is 1 cm. I went to a neurosurgeon and he told me they were nothing and not to let anyone cut on me. He told me my symptoms are “unexplainable” and I may just have to “live with the pain like many others have to” . I left his office in tears. I’ve been doing my own research and I am certain this is what’s causing my pressure and pain and burning in my buttocks and leg

      Try pain management first, they can block nerves that the cyst is rubbing. Needs to be a good pain management. Magnesium also helps with the pain. I to was not told about my cysts.. my chiropractor read my MRI and told me.

    I can’t wait to fight for this treatment…the NHS is confused and mainly tell us it’s in our head or that TARLOV cysts do not cause problems….I’ve had an SAH since my diagnosis and I’m now a user of two powerchairs and my entire life has changed. TARLOV cyst disease patients deserve to be listened to….I live in the UK 🇬🇧 and the doctors are absolutely perplexed. I am so hopeful and can see that AIMIS know what they are doing. Can’t wait to fight for treatment to get to Cyprus 🇨🇾 ♥️ God bless Dr Feigenbaum and AIMIS

      They don't listen in the US either...just had a doctor tell me today (at the MAYO Clinic, no less) that "here at the Mayo, we believe those are incidental findings and not symptomatic" (Direct quote from his visit notes). Yeah, tell that to my body that can't sit, stand, get up, get dressed, bend, etc... without pain. The mild disc bulge that is nowhere near a nerve is causing it all, but not that big ole' S2-3 cyst in my sacrum. :(

      @@Sarah-vg8qd how powerful is the cyst ? Enough to turn Mayo into jackass's ? See they can't see them because they don't or aren't allowed to know the MRI technique to detect it. Consider yourself a miracle you do. Surgical option isn't the only or necessarily the best option either. True in my case.

    Can tarlov cyst be misdiagnosed as MS? I care for a gentleman who was diagnosed with MS in 2010. He lives in a wheelchair. I was applying pain cream to his lower back and found several bubble like cysts near the surface of his skin in his lower spine area. They were all about 1cm in diameter. This is where his numbness begins. The ability to walk went away slowly just like MS, but the VA also said he has no lesions in his brain. Only in his spine. I would really like to get another MRI and possibly a better diagnosis. If this is Tarlov cysts then we want to come see you asap. Do you work with the VA's insurance?

    I have a tarlovcyst in my thoracic area. I called his office and the receptionist told me they dont take medicaid and I have no other options. I frequently fall, it is extremely painful. No other options???

    • @jamesmcconnell2473
      @jamesmcconnell2473 6 месяцев назад

      #1 not straight forward to get a diagnosis. It'll show in 1% of MRI studies which unfortunately isn't usually the case I feel. If you're not diagnosed? Send to Fiengenbaum your MRI CD he'll do a free assessment. Once you've got the size and location. Because my neurologist found my tiny right side S1 Tarlov cyst. Okay you're going to need a bilateral injectionist ( trigger point) . Just ask me for the details. My fibromyalgia is now pain free. Something like fibromyalgia Tarlov cyst so complicated. Actually in my case. Only need six office visits per year. There's hope out there in Houston at least probably anywhere. Famous medical center Houston had zero help for people like us. Unfortunately still doesn't . Except now. Really hope this message finds you . Peace be unto you.

    I have a question: Could Tarlov cysts in T spine cause an increasing blood pressure suddenly? My mum suffers from this for several years and no combination of medications against hight blood pressure worked for her. Now she has to take morfium (in plasters) and only then her BP is OK. She has more Tarlov cysts in L and S spine, too. She suffers from the weakness and pain of her legs, sometimes she is not able to walk. Thanks for the answering me.
