With Initial IQ ONE SQIN, the paintable colour-and-form ceramic concept from GC, variations in surface texture, gloss, translucency and deepness are easily achieved on monolithic restorations or restorations with minimal buccal reduction. The ONE SQIN concept can be used for all your zirconia and lithium disilicate restorations. The obtained aesthetics are comparable to conventionally layered restorations but with a significant time gain.
The buccally reduced framework was shaped and contoured using designated burs and the framework was softly sandblasted with 50 µm aluminum oxide at pressure of maximum 1.5 bar.
The teeth shade have an inherent fluorescence to mimic the natural fluorescence of the teeth,
The highly fluorescent Initial Lustre Paste ONE, Neutral Fluo (L-NFL) was mixed on a ceramic plate and applied onto the entire surface of the buccally reduced framework.
The desired shade and chroma were obtained by mixing the respective Lustre Body shades into the Lustre Neutral Fluo. In the incisal area, the translucency is accentuated by the application of Lustre Enamel Effect 3 (Light Grey). Natural depth was achieved in the incisal area with a mixture of Lustre Pastes Blue and Light Grey, contributing to the opalescent effect.Lustre Enamel Effect L-1, Vanilla, and L-2, White, were applied onto the middle part and on the incisal edge to highlight the mamelons. The applied Initial Lustre Pastes ONE can now be fixed by shortly holding them under the furnace. Lustre Neutral Fluo is applied onto the palatinal surface, followed by Lustre Body-A to add chroma. With Initial Spectrum Stains, SPS-1 (Ivory White), the marginal ridges were highlighted. The bridge was fired in accordance with the instructions inside the Technical Manual. The Lustre Pastes also serve as the connection firing prior to the application of the SQIN ceramic. Before the Initial IQ SQIN applicatoin, the surface is slightly sandblasted. The Initial SQIN ceramics were mixed with the dedicated Form & Texture liquid, which gives the SQIN ceramic its unique modelling properties. A thin layer of Dentine Body A was applied onto the vestibular surface, followed by Enamel E-58. The applied SQIN material can easily be shaped and textured using a brush. Fine, subtle form and texture details can be created in the wet stage and remain after firing. The autoglaze effect is clearly visible after firing, so an additional glaze firing is not needed.
This system is truly a dream for every dental technician!
