What about asymmetrical noses with turnt up nostrils? I can never find any good contour videos for noses like mine

only aly can create a new nose shape so she can alter that into something else, is like the inception of nose shapes XD props to aly to state that there are not "nicer/better" nose shapes, just different shapes and thank you for promoting self acceptance. once this famous youtuber on the subject said "if you SUFFER from a wider nose, this is what you should do" and many of us were like "what a heck???" she had to apologize after that. so well done aly (Y)

Brand new to make up and never contour before. I have deep set hooded eyes and wider nose and eyebrows that are farther apart. So lighter can make nose appear less wide?

I think this is one of the best videos I've watched on RUclips! I am amazed at how, with the most subtle brush strokes, you can completely create a different nose shape and size! But, I have to say..... My favourite part of the video is when you say, "one day, you'll be like.. I don't need to do this, because I'm gorgeous!" Another tip i've heard from makeup artists is to use cool shade tones when counturing your nose, not warm tones because it will look muddy
Greek nose tip that I'd like to suggest: I dab a little bit of hightlighter above the bump & on the tip of my nose instead of highlighting the entire length of my bridge like we see in most makeup tutorials

you remind me of Lisa Eldridge, RE the volume of knowledge you bring to your videos. it's obvious you're an artist who pays attention to detail and that makes all the difference. I would really appreciate a video of your favorite products to use for certain applications. ie do you have a preferred powder for a certain type of skin? a concealer for under eyes that doesn't crease and yet looks natural during the day? etc etc etc
I never watch makeup videos-I clicked on yours on a lark. I love how you make no value judgements when you give tutorials for different types of looks, styles and faces. You are so knowledgeable and skilled at your craft. But I keep clicking on your videos because I know that you’ll make me smile.

Very very helpfull..but still have a little bit of trouble on a bulbous nose tip ..a long nose narrow at the top that becomes wider and bulbous at the tip..like the first one here

+Chauchatness I was just about to comment this! Loved the video Aly, but wish you would have talked about the bulbous nose too. I also struggle with contouring that nose shape. I find it so difficult to know where I should shade the tip to make it look real.

You are seriously amazing! This taught me more than anything anyone's ever taught me about contouring noses because the bump on the middle of the bridge of my nose makes that part look crooked, so when ppl contour it it only makes it look more crooked! It makes so much more sense now though, thank you! Love all your videos!
You have the best instructional videos, especially in shading/lighting, out of anyone ive seen! I absolutely love how no matter what I feel about my facial characteristics during these videos I always walk away feeling like im being too hard on myself. Ive actually shed a tear or two when you say everyone is beautiful, im reminded that even though I dont love everything about my face or body im still beautiful in my own way, and so is everyone else! I have the weirded shaped nose and even though I watched your video I still wouldnt know how to properly contour mine. My nose starts out with a strong, kind of long slant then it is somewhat bulgy like a bump on each side of the tip of my nose that kind of comes down in like a triangle shape and I have semi large nostrils. Not the easiest or prettiest nose to work with but im going to start experimenting with some concealers from L.A Girl or Loreal to see how I can make my nose work for me! Thanks so much for your videos, your sweet gentle spirit, and for helping people like me love and accept myself a little more. Please keep making videos! By the way you have an amazing voice and talent of singing! Dont stop singing or making videos!

You can do this until you feel you don't need it anymore, you are perfect like that. That part hit me so hard, since I was a little girl I hated my nose, it's broken and crooked and it doesn't help that it's functually broken as well, I've spent a lot of time trying to love it a bit more, and watching this video I was expecting you to talk how to correct it.... But fuck it, I'm gonna leave it as it is, as you said it is what gives me character and it's just a tiny detail. Aly you are the best and I love you

All I can say is your awesome! I love that you do these type of videos for ppl because contouring isn't one size fits all. I think some ppl get more confused watching some tutorials than when they started. I've always commented on how talented and beautiful you are. It just keeps getting better and better. Huge fan have been for a long time. You explain it and demonstrate better than I've seen anyone do it they always say they don't have a model you just contoured a bunch of noses with yourself as a model so love your talent😘🙇👍

I love that your whole contouring video series is not a one method fits all, but that you explain things so thoroughly and demonstrate and provide direction, more than just dictating to "do this". You have an amazing gift for instruction. I have a Marilyn Monroe type of nose, I've just now come to realize, and I always thought it looked so childish and made my face look really awkward. my nose bridge is thin, but the tip is very bulbous. :( how can I contour the tip to make it look smaller?
The only way I can explain it is to basically draw the nose you want on what is already there. I know that's blunt and probably won't help, but maybe if you darken the area around the tip of the nose it will look smaller. Sorry if that didn't help much. I'd have to see your nose I guess.
Riot_94 dark skadows on each side of the tip. I would also use a light shade across your entire bridge to make it look wider and more in proportion with the tip.
No. Don't make your nose bridge smaller or thicker. Leave that part alone. Just contour the rest to mame your nose slimmer. It doesn't mame any sense to make your nose bridge smaller if it's already refine.
