I've always been obsessed with learning about tornados ever since the original storm chasers TV show. My dad, knowing this, decided to take me to see this film in cinema with my younger brother. There was no one else in the theater apart from us and for 13 year old me, that was so cool. We had a whole cinema screen to ourselves. It was actually really enjoyable for me. Yes I was only 13 at the time but that was the peak of my tornado interest. Goes to show a film doesn't have to be a master piece of cinema with a sellout audience to be enjoyed.
As a person who takes interest in tornadoes and severe storms and in hopes of actually becoming a storm chaser, this looks like an awesome movie! Can't wait to see it!

You can't base it on just the trailer because if you read the description it is a found footage movie and centers quite a bit around the relationships, finding family after the storm, seeking shelter with strangers, chasing the storm with fellow chasers, etc... the trailer is made to spark interest in people who will go just for the action, those who would go for the rest would have read more into the story or will see it one they hear how it was
The movie has a lot of elements of the Joplin, Missouri tornado in 2011. The local high school graduation celebration was interrupted by a massive tornado. Those of us who live in Missouri and throughout Tornado Alley know exactly what these storms can do. This is going to be a wild ride!!!

Just finished it, it's alot better than I thought. This definitely can compete with Twister, it has alot of Realistic effects and the characters aren't to bad either.

So I decided to make my own little "Natural Disaster Movie Universe" kind of like the MCU, DCU, F&F but ONLY with Natural Disaster movies and I used this movie as the official kick off for my universe. And let me tell you I have absolutely no regrets for ever buying this movie on Blu-Ray. This has to be the 2nd best tornado movie imo. First being Twister ofcourse! 🙂 For those who just checked out the trailer and haven't seen it yet... don't hesitate, watch it! You won't regret it! 😉

Totally. Watching twister on a 60's TV in bluray. It is incredible that very few effects are noticeable. The rest is very real.
