Absolutely awesome. But what is the sound during the 2nd verse and post solo section? Is it an effect or is it the electric guitar 'mic'd up' in the room and it's the sound of the strings only? 🤔
That’s Myung’s bass cutting through. Not sure how they isolated these, but there’s some bleed from other instruments in others I’ve heard. If you listen to the isolated bass track you’ll hear it’s coming from that. Or it’s possible in the studio they ran the guitar and bass through the same EQ on the mix bus for those sections (comes in before the guitar solo and it’s all over the end of the song) and made it’s way into the guitar stems.
@@DrewJD it's Petrucci's guitar with piezo, not the bass. Its the same guitar sound from the beginning. I used to had these tracks from leaked jammit tracks that i found on internet (they were deleted from my pc) and there is 2 guitar tracks: "Guitar 1" and "Guitar 2". The "Guitar 1" track it's the distorted one and "Guitar 2" track it's the piezo one.
@@Muglinnor JP never had a guitar with piezo until after SFAM released. The album was recorded with his Ibanez JPM guitars. He started using EBMM guitars in early 2000 (Jan or Feb) during the Metropolis 2000 tour in support of the album. The guitar at the beginning and post-solo verse 2 is a classical acoustic guitar with nylon strings.

actual tracks dude
How do you guys do this? Is this an app?
You can't do that with an app. Maybe to an extent, but it would have some artifacts. Those are original stems of the song that someone leaked.
@@luisantoniozermeno5025 It wasn't leaked, it was licensed by a service called Jammit who would sell official stems along with sheet music and tabs.
@@luisantoniozermeno5025 Pretty sure there was an app that people used. Called Jammit I think.
