I don't get why people hate Resident Evil 6 that much. Sure it's quite deviate from the Survival Horror genre, but it's a really good game, intense action, convincing plot, interesting new characters, etc.
It's more of a action game than it ever was, bad villains and generic plot. It's the worst game in the series by far, I couldn't bring myself to finish it.

Well he could not truly control it after a certain amount of time believing that piers inside the capsule with Chris would only get them both killed. Once the virus fully infects him like all the other bad guys who get mutated arms and legs and even end up later turn into stronger monsters thanks to the added blood samples from Jake and Sherry's DNA.
He injected the virus to save Chris not him, and he resolved to die and let Chris escape alone so why do he even care about turning against Chris. And If he do then he would not enter that capsule and you saw what he did.

say what you want about the game and i'll admit that it's not the same RE i once knew. however, the guy voicing Chris has my vote for doing an amazing job. he's got my attention even if it's a cliche ending.
Roger Craig Smith voices him (or used to, he doesn't voice Chris in RE7, but that could change in the future if/when he makes more future appearances in more games, Roger's voice just fits Chris PERFECTLY, and none of Chris' voice actors will ever match up to his range, his strong voice acting). Also, even though it's been a year now since 7 released, I am still not sold on his RE7 likeness. Chris in RE5 and RE6 is actually STILL modeled (face wise) after his more slimmer appearance from Remake. Look at comparisons, and you will find that Chris has a mostly consistent likeness across all games, except he gets buffer and older (makes sense, you do as much fighting as he does, you're bound to grow a lot more muscle mass). But RE7 Chris os very jarring, and while it's not bad looking, inconsistency is a pet peeve of mine, regardless of Capcom's reasoning for the change (photogrammetry).

Smith is fantastic at the role and in my book is the set Chris voice, unfortunately it would seem by the RE Village trailer will not be reprising the role. Unless the voice was just a place holder for the trailer itself. It's highly unlikely, but I really hope it's the case

Finn's death cut deep enough into Chris, he was a good kid who believed in Chris, and followed him right up until the moment he died. And he called out for Chris for help, then he ended up mutating. That broke him.

I finished the game and I was so hyped with the suspense and storyline. The human emotion drama, stubborn christ, Sherry and Jake, and the one of the kind battle scene that I can't find in any movie or any games to date. Then I came online seeing almost 9/10 people bashing RE6. How can two totally extreme opposite view of the game be happening? Its like -5/10 versus 8/10 lol.

I love this series. My very first resident evil game was 5, and that sparked my love for the franchise. After playing the game and reading the little history tidbits they put into the loading screens, I wanted to know more, so I bought the older, or "original" titles. I loved those too. What makes resident evil great to me is the story, the characters, and the way they manage to make it out alive and continue to fight against the viral threat. I can understand if you played the earlier titles and you don't like the newer ones, as I tend to be that way myself, but don't knock the later titles so much. They might just open the gateway to the more survival oriented games of the series to other people like myself. I like both. (Resident Evil 2 will always be my favorite).

1:06:15-27, when Chris and Piers were after Ada; they didn't seem to notice that she wore two different outfits but given the situation then, their emotions are high to blind them of that.
The only big issue I had with this game: where in the HELL was Jill during all of this?!?! Out of anyone, I would have imagined she'd be the one to go seek Chris out after he dropped off the radar for so long. Got really pissed we didn't even get a mention of what she was doing.

Jill has nothing to do with Chris' breakdown in this story. Just because Jill is a more popular character (obviously) and has longer history with Chris don't mean that Jill's name had to be mentioned. Chris breakdown was due to the fact that he couldn't save the soldier who believed in him, nothing to do with Jill. I would have felt very weird if Piers suddenly mention Jill in this conversation. That'd be a stretch, just to cater to the fans rather than following the story plots properly.

It looks normal but the lead up to her question makes no sense. First of all did Claire ever tell Sherry she had a brother and that her brother's name was Chris? It's been awhile since I played RES2 so I can't recall. Secondly why would she instantly jump to the conclusion it was Chris? She's never seen him before and so why would she assume that he was him? I could've easily been someone who knew Claire for all we know. A better line would've been: Sherry- "Wait... You know Claire?" Chris- "Know her? She's my sister"

Of course, he can be salvaged and placed into the next game, but then this whole emotional scene; his assumed death and sacrifice in this game would have less meaning and value. I don't know.. It seems like when most films or games decide to bring a dead person back, the audience is pissed that they died in the first place. But yeah, I mean it could still happen.

So... I had an idle thought thinking about the end here with Piers, and it reminded me of a legend. There's a native american legend in the pacific northwest associated with earthquakes and tidal waves. The story of Thunderbird and Whale. According to the story Thunderbird and Whale had a great battle. Thunderbird picked up Whale and dropped him deep into the sea, causing a massive tidal wave that wrecked the coast and created a ghost forest, dead trees sticking up over salt marsh terrain like great skeletal ribs sticking up from the ground. Take this for what you will, but its believed that that story was based on an event that happened around the 1700s. We know from sediment dating, but also from a Japanese record. The Japanese of the era had long known that Earthquakes and Tsunamis went hand in hand. But one day a tsunami came without an earthquake coming first. Its believed that the quake that spawned the thunderbird story also spawned the wave. Capcom is a Japanese company. And I like to think if they had enough command of symbolism to make paralells between Krauser and the legend of the Dai Tengu in the RE4 Remake, that maybe they knew enough about the legend to give that fight a passing resemblance to this legend.
I just marathoned the "game movies" of RE4-RE7 and this really isn't bad. Viewing it as a movie, it's better than 5 and 7, especially since there are 4 perspectives on the story. The whole virus mutation thing has gotten out of hand though, so at times it's purely ridiculous in all of the later games. 7 is an entirely different story. But, It seems like the RE fan base just hates everything. I only played REmake on GCN, but after watching the game movies of all the later games, as well as Revelations, I don't understand the hate for 6. Button action moments are dumb though, definitely. RE5 was the least likeable for me, even though it includes closure on Wesker. It's just too over-the-top superpower villain with a clunky partner system.

I really Like the Storyline of "Chris Redfield" half Drama and Tense
I love this series. My very first resident evil game was 5, and that sparked my love for the franchise. After playing the game and reading the little history tidbits they put into the loading screens, I wanted to know more, so I bought the older, or "original" titles. I loved those too. What makes resident evil great to me is the story, the characters, and the way they manage to make it out alive and continue to fight against the viral threat. I can understand if you played the earlier titles and you don't like the newer ones, as I tend to be that way myself, but don't knock the later titles so much. They might just open the gateway to the more survival oriented games of the series to other people like myself. I like both. (Resident Evil 2 will always be my favorite).

The real Ada stayed in the shadows mostly. Except to Leon and Helena. When you first play the game without playing Ada you might even miss it

the answer is simple: because chris act first and thinks later...he did not even notice it when he saw the real ada with red shirt and piers of cours was just following him as his subordinate not able to do anything loooool...as for leon he was thinking that ada might have changed her cloths simple as that...and of cours she had all the time she need to do that since they were not following her all the time like chris did..and for jake and sherry they did meet only with the fake ada(carla) and never saw the real one even though they did meet her once but that when she saved sherry from the chain saw monster and they did not even see her face...
I still enjoy the hell out of that game, no matter how much hate everyone else gives it. =) Looking good remastered too!

The only big issue I had with this game: where in the HELL was Jill during all of this?!?! Out of anyone, I would have imagined she'd be the one to go seek Chris out after he dropped off the radar for so long. Got really pissed we didn't even get a mention of what she was doing.

@@SpeedZeroed Yeah. She is still recovering after the events of Resident Evil 5. As of Revelations 2 (set in 2011), Jill is inactive. This was mentioned in the in-game file of Revelations 2.
I also hated that. He doesn't even mention her, as if she even doesn't exist.

Piers would have been a really great successor to Chris. He even somewhat looks like a younger version of Chris back in RE1 and Veronica.

Jill has nothing to do with Chris' breakdown in this story. Just because Jill is a more popular character (obviously) and has longer history with Chris don't mean that Jill's name had to be mentioned. Chris breakdown was due to the fact that he couldn't save the soldier who believed in him, nothing to do with Jill. I would have felt very weird if Piers suddenly mention Jill in this conversation. That'd be a stretch, just to cater to the fans rather than following the story plots properly.

The only difference is that Chris' men were on the front lines, but those 70,000 people had no idea what was happening. Both are tragedies, yes, but just because Leon didn't know all those people doesn't invalidate the loss. Nor does it mean Chris' men were any less of a loss.

It looks normal but the lead up to her question makes no sense. First of all did Claire ever tell Sherry she had a brother and that her brother's name was Chris? It's been awhile since I played RES2 so I can't recall. Secondly why would she instantly jump to the conclusion it was Chris? She's never seen him before and so why would she assume that he was him? I could've easily been someone who knew Claire for all we know. A better line would've been:
Sherry- "Wait... You know Claire?"
Chris- "Know her? She's my sister"

Well, it's not IMPOSSIBLE but it is a BIT of a stretch. Of course, he can be salvaged and placed into the next game, but then this whole emotional scene; his assumed death and sacrifice in this game would have less meaning and value.
I don't know.. It seems like when most films or games decide to bring a dead person back, the audience is pissed that they died in the first place.

So... I had an idle thought thinking about the end here with Piers, and it reminded me of a legend. There's a native american legend in the pacific northwest associated with earthquakes and tidal waves. The story of Thunderbird and Whale. According to the story Thunderbird and Whale had a great battle. Thunderbird picked up Whale and dropped him deep into the sea, causing a massive tidal wave that wrecked the coast and created a ghost forest, dead trees sticking up over salt marsh terrain like great skeletal ribs sticking up from the ground. Take this for what you will, but its believed that that story was based on an event that happened around the 1700s. We know from sediment dating, but also from a Japanese record. The Japanese of the era had long known that Earthquakes and Tsunamis went hand in hand. But one day a tsunami came without an earthquake coming first. Its believed that the quake that spawned the thunderbird story also spawned the wave. Capcom is a Japanese company. And I like to think if they had enough command of symbolism to make paralells between Krauser and the legend of the Dai Tengu in the RE4 Remake, that maybe they knew enough about the legend to give that fight a passing resemblance to this legend.

I just marathoned the "game movies" of RE4-RE7 and this really isn't bad. Viewing it as a movie, it's better than 5 and 7, especially since there are 4 perspectives on the story. The whole virus mutation thing has gotten out of hand though, so at times it's purely ridiculous in all of the later games. 7 is an entirely different story. But, It seems like the RE fan base just hates everything. I only played REmake on GCN, but after watching the game movies of all the later games, as well as Revelations, I don't understand the hate for 6. Button action moments are dumb though, definitely. RE5 was the least likeable for me, even though it includes closure on Wesker. It's just too over-the-top superpower villain with a clunky partner system.
Good Old Days Gaming Then you have no idea what made these games good, Resident evil 6 terrible game And is personally the worst game I’ve ever played the only story that I actually enjoy is Chris’s campaign. Well resident evil five was extremely over-the-top in a lot of areas I found a balance between dumb fun and a decent story with albeit Goofy moments that are unintentionally comedic. But even then the character drama and the game was way better in elevation when it came to the cinematics, The lighting was better in that game the acting was better, Composition was interesting, but I guess since you’re not a fan you really don’t know anything about resident evil when it comes to villains so by definition you’re retarded to the series
