I had a Peregrine Falcon wintering every year in my back yard in Casa Grande. At least I saw him every year, for about 3-4 years. I like to think it was the same bird, but have no way of know. I did see him nail a pigeon one time. He was really moving when he grabbed that pigeon. The falcon had his claws around pigeons wings perfectly. The pigeon looked bigger than the falcon, but they are pretty close to the same size. You should have heard the noise made when he grabbed that pigeon. It was a very distinct thud. Probably knocked the wind out of the pigeon, hard hard hit.
