Back in June of 2023, I originally started a script on a relatively hot topic at the time; Kenpachi vs Frieza. It had some pretty awesome ideas involved, and I wanted to use it to explain how BLEACH and Dragon Ball Z compared to one-another, as it's always a surprise to me how the two series are misrepresented or talked about, so I thought I could tackle it better than most. As time went on, the topic felt too niche, and honestly kind of random, so I switched it more towards Ichigo and Goku, the main characters. The idea of Ichigo going through the Dragon Ball Z gauntlet is always a topic of discussion, so instead of that; I went further with this, and just straight up compared Ichigo vs Goku, to show how far he can get against Son Goku's endless iterations, or if he can actually DEFEAT him. " Why Goku vs Ichigo Is FAR Closer Than You Think " - was then sat on for many many months, with the prospect of it potentially not even happening, as I had other video plans get in the way... then, in March, the passing of Akira Toriyama (Rest in Peace) took place. I felt that if I was going to take time away from RUclips, I had to return with somewhat of a "bang" by completing this video, and making it as best I could. Not only is this my longest normal piece of content, but something I feel encapsulates the most easy to digest scaling for both series. This is my personal tribute to the GOAT of anime and manga. Without Akira Toriyama, I wouldn't actually have this channel, and BLEACH doesn't even exist.

I am so curious of what a fully mastered Ichigo looks like. He basically ends the series at level 1. No kido, just discovered quincy powers, states he can’t activate horn at will yet, just unlocked real soul reaper powers, we don’t know what his bankai does, and his fullbring is likely not even close to mastered

Kubo has confirmed that Gremmy isn't "accessing space" or "creating a portal to space" as many have said before. Gremmy literally created his own void with stars, galaxies and planets.

He never outright says how big of a void Gremmy created but the official Viz scan has hundreds of stars and 2 galaxies visible through the opening he used to transport Kenpachi. People often overlook this because the scans that popped up on pirated websites didn't have the stars in the opening, it was just a big black square. So it's a multi-galaxy feat at minimum.

Goku definitely wins but Ichigo is stupidly powerful everyone down plays him doesn’t talk about him with much respect but bleach was my favorite anime growing up and I love seeing it get the respect it deserves. Bleach and Naruto shaped my childhood could never get into one piece but I always loved reading the manga of bleach and to this day is in my top 3 anime of all time😎

It's funny you mentioned here about Tekken because the
Tekken character *Claudio Serafino* is heavily inspired by Bleach. He is an Exorcist and leader of the "Archers of Sirius" where they purify demons. He wears an all white attire and shoots blue reishi like arrows towards demons/devils/vampires.
Sound framiliar? A direct reference to Quincy's and their design as well as lore to purify hollows. Even other aspects of the Tekken story is inspired by Bleach. Jin accepting Devil Jin in his inner thoughts saying "I'm not evil, I've always tried to protect you. I'm you."

One of the Directors or writers of Tekken even said Bleach is he’s favorite Manga which confirms the series did take some inspiration from Bleach and Devil may cry also has a few things inspired from Bleach to probably

Something I've said in Bleach power scaling discussions before is that it's very likely that lightning based attacks (such as the 1st squad's lieutenant's Bankai or the blonde Bambi) are lightning ELEMENT reishi based attacks.
So they wouldn't be limited to the speed of real world lightning since that's not what they are.

@@ClydeRUclipsr That's me high balling Ichigo all things considered what he does between him and Aizen with the Final Getsuga and against Juha, there isn't really a grand concrete showing of feats of power outside of comparing him with other characters like Kenpachi cutting a meteor and we know a meteor is nothing to a planet.
Dangai Ichigo smacked a dimensioning based Hado move but that is dependent on the power of the user itself. Impressive feat, but Ss3 Gokus power alone can be felt in the world of the supreme kais world and looking at the scaling of the Dragonballs different dimensions is very large. Larger than the Hado #99 Aizen conjured. Considering all of the multipliers and Gokus training up to that point, he has the overwhelming amounts of raw power, and speed at his side. I'm going to edit this as I go along the video though
@@ClydeRUclipsrpiccolo had a similar statement of supreme Kai being dimensions apart u could have used that in the video pretty similar to aizens statement Ichigo hard stops at Buu saga further than any one else in the big 3 the speed difference is just way to big if u are charitable to Ichigo and use infinite speed statements u can do the same for Goku too by Buu saga u could use garlic jr hyperspace scaling to get raditz to universal+
honestly, 'stops at buu saga' is the same as saying 'stops at teen gohan'.

One thing you got wrong in this video was about gremmy. He didn't just open a portal he straight up builds an entire galaxy. It's confirmed in CFYOW somewhere around the part where shunsui and tokinada are talking about gremmy.

The counter against Chad smashing the hollow with an electric pole is to argue that, since the Hogyoku was already within Rukia at the time giving Ichigo’s friends his powers, it was already amping Chad. Chad’s powers later turn out to be fullbring, and fullbringers manipulate the soul within physical matter to perform their abilities. So, Chad was just manipulating the soul of the electric pole. Makes a lot more sense this way, considering that Ichigo strongly implies that a normal weapon wouldn’t be able to hurt him when he’s training with Urahara.

wrong, fullbringers actually just inherit the soul kings power through extremely tiny portions of his body. The fullbringers didnt know what their power actually came from. In reality, what seems to be the manipulation of souls in physical matter, is just them harnessing a small amount of the soul kings power, which puts into question just how absurdly strong the soul king actually is.
This is also why hollows seemed to be the reason for fullbringers. In reality, they didnt become fullbringers due to hollow attacks, hollows attacked them due to the extreme power within them from the soul kings body parts.

There is a super simple way to solve the character interaction problem. Goku has a bad habit of getting killed and coming back to life, and later casually pops in and out of the afterlife to give King Kai shi- Err, I mean train. Just have the fight happen there.

Thats the thing Goku has become basically as said here The Superman of japan.
He's become that iconic and that renound that the only people that can really face him is op comic book western characters or religious figures at this point.

Something I’ve noticed is that people accept higher scaling for characters that have a history of being strong or are just really iconic. Like Ichigo could literally do every feat that Goku or Superman or any other famously powerful character does and most people still wouldn’t acknowledge it.

In the case of Bleach I think the reason people skew away from believing how strong Ichigo is, is because we don't see too much crazy feats on the level of dragon ball in anime.
Which is where most anime fans view things from.

I really don’t think it’s very close, Goku comfortably slams with minimal effort, at least with consistent scaling and I do think Bleach has been getting overplayed over recent years.

No it's not close, a character who is multiversal to outversal depending on what version you use is far stronger than a high uni character.

He is on at bare minimum similar levels of strength to characters who can best people summoning continent destroying meteors, and said characters can shake or threaten to destroy the world they in, Genryusai can dry up the entirety of the Soul Society with his presence in bankai alone, Senjumaru can shake the 3 worlds consisting of stars being the sun and other stars and having moons. And if you wanna be generous, you can say each world is a universal sized body, and because Ichigo's true bankai with horn is enough to scare Yhwach who could've destroyed all 3 completely or cause them to collapse and merge, he could be high uni.

Each of these worlds have been shown to have stars, Hueco Mundo to be a vast land of infinitely expanding sand as they described it, characters weaker than him like Yama is able to cook the entirety of the soul society at least according to Unohana, Ichigo's bankai with horn is so formidable it scared Yhwach who was holding up all the worlds and the boundaries in between. Depending on how you interpret each of these worlds he can be anywhere from multi solar to galaxy to even universal.

I really liked your explanation of “wanting Goku to lose”, in the beginning. When you have never watched dragonball and hear “he can punch universes away, that’s why he wins” then you would initially be in disbelief, one piece characters have never been shown doing this, so how can Goku? “They must be talking shit”. It’s easy to see how many people try to take Goku fans down a peg when they mention hax that may or may not give Goku a hard time.

@@spyrolancer While that's true, majority of hax in Dragon Ball is ki based, so you can't really say it works for non ki based hax. Even Buu's magic with turning Vegito into candy, you could say it's thanks to the potara rings themselves that allowed that, not an argument I agree with tho. Still, the power difference didn't negate the body transfiguration, just the power nullification.
It's also only really through having more raw power, just like in Bleach, one reason why I really hate a certain Goku vs the Big 3 equal state composite video, as the man acts like Goku has all those nullifications naturally, and not because of it being only due to a power difference that he could display such.

No, it isn't. Both of them have a huge difference in power, even Lowball Goku is complex multiversal, whereas Highball Goku is outerversal.

@@ClydeRUclipsr Ichigo scaling depends on interpretation, like for example, what does it mean to destroy the Soul Society? Are we talking about the planet, the city, or the entire dimension? So I'll give you Goku scaling.
Lowball: Complex multiversal - Goku can destroy the Kaioshin realm, a realm which stated by Takao Koyama, a screenwriter for DBZ/GT/Movies, to be 7D.
Highball: Outerversal - Goku can destroy the Otherworld, a world stated to transcend dimensionality by both Koyama and Daizenshuu. People who go with Goku being complex multiversal scaling ignore these statements and interpret Otherworld as just being 5D.
The lowball for goku isn’t complex multiversal it would be low multiversal. And a better argument for high hyper-outer goku is Arale scaling that doesn’t require things like koyamas personal interpretation of the series, but just a few statements and obviously the feats arale has shown
