@@awillandaway Yeah that gives you an entierly new perspective, by the way I´m am now working on creating warps so the player is able to go through the whole map just like in the game
Oh my, you should prepare yourself for what Im building on my own .... kanto in 3D, fully playable with pixelmon mod, quests, a main storyline, dungeons, mini-games, repeat battles with scaling power lvls etc etc . So far im around 50% complete in terms of the landmass so all the pathing/gameplay elements will be added after that. Its taken me about 1 month to make everything from pallet -> saffron and a little beyond so I estimate about 2-3 months for a fully playable demo .... at least from pallet to cerulean including 2 mt. moon dungeons with different lvls (early-game and later levels)
I remember when we used to play this (gold/silver) in the Game Boy. We used to think the world was so big. And then, when you look at it now in different overworld maps or this kind of Minecraft maps, you realize it was actually quite small. The sea to travel to the islands seemed labyrinthic, and it's pretty reduced actually. And then some cities are so close to each other that in real life they would even be the same city probably. It does bring some realization. Thank you for sharing! I'll download it to play it ^^

However aside from talking about myself, your region looks amazing great job on it! We region builders have a great sense of accomplishment from this :)

This just brought back so much nostalgia and how many times I was exploring the map just to find secret rooms and finding items I've never see before. This deserves many more views and likes.
We actually added a couple of easter eggs in this map as well, although we removed most of them before releasing it lol. Not sure if any made it through!

This is awesome. I'm making a Kanto Region. It's only like 30% done but here is the thing.. It's fully playable, you choose a starter and battle wild pokemon and trainers and gain new moves, heal at the pokemon center. Battle gym leaders, get Hm01 to cut down trees. Find TMs in caves specific to your starter. So far I've made it until Saffron City.
This is very awesome. And johto are my second favourite region and generation. You are has seen a lot of effort for this. And I respect it very match. Thanks for this. Wow its very impressive and awesome.

This was awesome! Something that would be amazing, but probably too much memory would be to find a way to tie all eight regions from the main games together (especially if the Sevi Islands are included). I shudder to think how long it would take to complete, even if you built off this finished Johto.

We built this all by hand! WorldEdit was used just to align different cities since sometimes we worked offline on separate single player maps and had to combine them manually later.
