Thank you so much for the video on this, bro! You don't know how long has this exposed side chrome molding on my 2005 VW Passat been irritating my eyes.. 😄 Thought it was gonna a tedious job but your video makes it simple. Now the hard part is hopefully I can fetch a new part somewhere. ☺
Could be the part has guide pins that fit into the holes to get perfect straight. This particular GM Escalade moulding is wider at front and tapers thinner at back. So the guide pins and holes help align.
