===ABOUT THE SONG:
First there was just a very strange and syncopated bass line that was close to a Latin style and I just built the song around that. The melody was so happy that for the lyrics, we needed the most merry situation one can imagine. So this is about the moment, when your relationship is over and you're just feeling... well, great and free and hungry and happy. And your only regret is that you waited too long as you knew far earlier that this would not have any future...
The first version included a Timbale solo by Felix, however we wanted something more melodic, so we asked Jasper to write some piano solo. The solo was played on an upright piano to create a mood like in a Cuban bar (Fabian pretty often has very clear but strange ideas while mixing the Rapid albums; one day we need to record some of the extensive mixing discussions between him and Chris Brandes at Iguana Studios...).
We invited our friend Isi to sing this song (at least the chorus) with me as a duet , bringing an absolutely cool flavor to the song. On some occasions in Munich we still perform it together live, always a great moment...

RELATIV RAPID (formerly RAPID) is a ska/rock-band from southern Germany (est. 2013). The 6 to 8 guys mix all type of styles from all over the world into their offbeat music and sing in about seven languages (English, German, Spanish, French, Russian, Arabian, Bavarian).
