I don't think most people can see how insane this match was. Even though it looked like it slowed down with the 50/50 entries, these two were working so hard (Marcio avoiding the sweep from that scramble and getting to a great passing position). And yet so strategic. Matheus gabriel is the future of this division. He saw an opening and went for the finish. And he had he missed it, Marcio could have taken the top and scored 2 and maybe taken the match with all those advtanges racked up. Matheus made history cause there hasnt been a submission finish at the finals worlds featherweight since 2008!
@@dylanstone407 Rafa to me is the greatest featherweight of all times. Not just his multiple featherweight reign but him and Gui influencing the trend of 50/50, leg drags and berimbolo. All the major light feather and feather weights game are influenced by them. Legends of the division! But Rafa never finished anyone in Worlds finals, which is NOT a criticism, just being objective (although the armbar at pans on Cobrihna was out of this world!)
