The sif fight is sad because if you do the DLC first before you fight sif you can help him as a puppy later then summon him for the manus fight, then later you fight him when he's big, but he recognizes you so you get a sad cutscene when you meet him again and he doesn't want to fight you, if you didn't already know that.

Found you randomly on my feed, because of Darksouls, and this series, once you learned acceptance with it that 99% of the deaths are your fault and learn to get better and adapt and overcome it so once you beat it, you feel accomplished, but also thinking, "now what?" Beauty of these games, never ending challenge. Ng+ x infinite, community challenges, etc. This is why this game genre became a genre within itself, and that it is deemed Masterpieces each one.

Bloodborne, demon’s souls, both the dark souls sequels, and elden ring would fill that hole it left. I would recommend playing bloodborne somewhere in the middle. It breaks a lot of souls habits and will give you that experience of learning it again

That trident dance they were doing buffs enemies. You can actually do it yourself in Dark Souls 2 if you manage to get ahold of one. On Dark Souls 2, make sure you put some points into adaptability when leveling.
This is the first time I’ve seen the game in remastered. I got DS1 for 360 on 2014 and only last week got the last achievement. I didn’t grind for it the whole time 😅. But after seeing it in remastered. Wow is it so much more beautiful

@@CappaTron Glad to hear you're loving it man. It's a much different feeling game than the others in the series, but where people call it clunky it moreso just feels methodical to me. I'd highly recommend having an arsenal of a few different weapons, have yourself your main weapon and then a bludgeoning weapon like a back up mace if you're using a straight sword or a rapier. And a bow is always handy to have around, even if you aren't scaling dex, you'll come to learn that very early on. This game will pick you up, throw you down and then proceed to continue beating your ass from time to time but damn does conquering challenging bosses and situations sure feel good. Looking forward to what's to come and you're playthrough of DS2, I always love hearing and seeing people's experiences when playing these games for the first time. Good luck and have a good time bro
@CappaTron Hahahaha, I take it that means you've already started. Here's a few tips then. 1. Level Adaptability to 15. Adaptability effects your i-frames during rolls. 15 Adaptability is the same as normal rolls I'm ds1 and ds3. Ds2 is the only game that can start you with less than the standard i-frames. I don't recommend pushing it past 15 though, unless you're doing multiple new game+ cycles. 2. Armor does almost nothing to protect you unless it's havel armor. So level health instead of getting bigger armor. 3. Bonfire ascetic's are extremely useful, as some weapons and spells can only be acquired in New game+. Which a bonfire ascetic will push that current area you're in to the next cycle. Which means that area and the boss of that area also get much harder. 4. Don't join the covenant of champions. It makes the game significantly harder. 5. There is a special boss in the game hidden behind a covenant. Joining that covenant requires you to have a certain investment into two stats. It's an optional boss btw.

@@Coolfusis there's an Illusory wall near the end of the damaging lava area, it has barely any enemies and is a pretty fast runback.
Run back is about 2 minutes if you have the closer bonfire

Advice for Dark Souls 2. Lure out the enemies. The game likes to throw a lot at you at once and you'll get overwhelmed very quickly.
My advice for Dark Souls 2 would be to play Dark Souls 3 instead and pretend it's 2.
