Pretty sure it should be true, actually. Try picking support with an LMG, vs a Pistol. I've played support recently, and unless i am going crazy, holding the pistol makes you move faster than with LMG. Might also be worth testing with other gadgets, like medkit, c4, first aid, etc.
This doesn't seem right. Different weapons give different boost to running speed. PP19 for example gives 1.05 to the running speed factor, UPS gives 1.10, some sniper rifles give you 0.99.

5:15 should be false. In BattleBit you run the same speed when having secondary or primary equipped (considering you didn't change your class).
