What a beautiful little experiment! I look forward to playing with it myself, when I get home to install it. This just has such a unique sound that will layer beautifully in synth-like textures but with the harmonic richness of a good piano. Really beautifully done!
Oooooh, I dig this vibe a LOT. You guys are awesome, thank you so much! I received notification of a new LABS piano just a day or so ago. Checked it out. No longer free, it goes without saying, now that Spitfire has lost its 'Christian mindset'. I can't believe there's a grinchy guy down below bemoaning the fact that Vaults instruments aren't available ad infinitum. There is just no pleasing some people!
Hi Ed, Vaults are free and reside in the vault for 6 months before dropping out to allow space for another vault to come in. Anyone downloaded these in this time get to use ad infinitum, for the rest of your life. Reasons for this. 1. server costs... experience has shown that building a huge library of free sounds can have a punitive effect on a business when large numbers of customers find for the first time and bulk download say 40 or 50 instruments. 2. to reward people who have supported us from an early stage. 3. to encouragement engagement not just gourging. 4. To encourage us to promote and celebrate what we have made and to make it as good as it can possibly be. These spots are coveted.5. Because its fun. Note all vaults have little countdown timers under them to let you know how long they're gonna be in there.... 6. to make everyone talk about it!
Describing the piano as "obsolete" seems more than a little hyperbolic. But that said, this is a completely captivating instrument! Thank you, Crow Hill, and bravo!
Well, their founder is deeply experienced in media composition and its needs. Nothing about this plugin is particularly media composer exclusive, though. I love throwing Vaults into my VCV Rack patches, for example.
Nope... we welcome everyone, its just the job that Theo and I actually do. So when speaking fro,m experience we tend to speak with that as our context.
Would be fine &dandy if Vault instruments weren't disappearing after a while for no other sane reason than an outdated fomo marketing strategy to "better" tie customers to the site. It's almost 2025 guys, either do something altruistic, or don't do it at all. There is no benefit for users taking instruments away, no matter how you wanna spin it.
I've said it dozens of times Beatz. Server costs. The use of the word "cloud" makes us feel like there is some magical celestial place where content lives for free. It isn't. I would say more than any developer I have the greatest degree of experience of the costs of involved in scaling such a project. Therefore have future proofed our business against the very real problem of INSANE expense that can build when achieving success giving away lots of free stuff to lots of free people. This solution is fun, engaging, and makes sure we really celebrate and value the work we put into these gems.
@@TheCrowHillCo While i don't agree with stuff being taken away to be "fun", and while "engaging" seems to rather prove my theory of it partially being a marketing/customer relationship decision, i can understand the "server costs" argument to a degree. Just that it begs the question how other companies do it then, who also offer free stuff but keep it available on their site ? P.S. If you said it "dozen of times" (how am i supposed to know, i don't follow you religiously), that at least seems to suggest that i'm not the only one to find that idea of instruments being taken away (contrary to the concept of actually building up a nice vault) to be less than "fun"..?
@@beatz04 I've seen you write this comment on this video twice already. So you've probably said it before. Some people love to moan. You're one of them. How does it affect YOU. Either download it, and keep it and have fun playing, or don't. Not everything in life goes how you want it to. And if you are seeing these, download them. If you don't it's your fault. They're up for 6 months. Plenty of time to decide. Do you go around to everyone saying they should do things the way you want them to? Probably not. I don't even know why I'm bothered by your boring moaning.

Very unique sounds, kinda like a pizzicato strings but with a different timbre. Also the bells included makes a great combination, thanks a lot!
basket error is now fixed thanks
Couldn't grab it faster. Ólafur Arnalds vibe for the intro. Just magical.
Here we go with another amazing vaults thanks to the entire crowhill team
I think this is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Absolutely beautiful; thank you!
Really nice, thanks! Happy Christmas to all at Crow Hill :)

AWESOME 🔥
0:15 reminds me of the song Every Breath You Take by The Police
Yes but that one is a muted guitar. But I agree there are similarities.
@jenstornell yeah true 🙂
Maybe the best free one. Not tried it but sounds unique and very playable.
How does the Vault work? Will this disappear soon and do we ever get access to the other ones or do they disappear forever? Thanks
Disappear forever - for no sane reason, i might add. It's just a rather cheap fomo marketing trick to better tie customers to the site.
They disappear from the ability to acquire after 6 months to a year, I think, but if you downloaded it, it will stay linked to your account forever.
@@bricelory9534 They disappear waay earlier.

I am download you all vaults library like shimer guitar. Choir etc. but I can't download attic grand piano and RD string. So how to download them?
@@vdjsurajitsaha848 They're gone. You can't download them anymore.
I tried to download attic grand piano . And RD string . But there not showing your vaults page. Pls help😢
I'm intrigued by the computer keyboard. Where can I buy it?
what is that 3 fader hardware on the left side on top of your keyboard?
Try Ghost Note Audio. There's a brand Monogram with something similar (featured in many videos).
Is it just like the muted piano tone used in Go Go Penguin’s songs?
Anyway, I really like this sound.
The whole thing sounds great but even better when the glockenspiel comes in.
That term "media composers" again - seems to me Crowd Hill is catering exclusively to that crowd now ?

Ah yes, the classic "it's not altruistic enough" complaint. No comment section is really complete without one of these. Thank you for your service.
