@@teespirit8465There is no such thing as binding the devil nor declaring or the decreeing.
      There's only 2 Powers active
God's divine power and satanic power. You don't have some special power independent of God. I've been at death bed sides listening to people, speaking in tongues, binding, declaring and decreeing and the person still died.
Then you ask why did they die?
Answer of course: it was God's will. And I agree.
Therefore there's no independent power working inside of us to bring about anything. And we shouldn't and can't command God to do anything. Paul said in prayer and supplication let your requests be known to God. Nowhere in the Bible is there prayer in regards to the declaring and decreeing, or binding. No where does it say we are speaking in a language that Satan doesn't understand. Someone just said it. Why do we need to pray in code when God is more powerful than Satan. He can block anything Satan tries to do. Satan had from Adam & Eve to 30 AD (thousands of years) to hinder salvation through Jesus Christ and couldn't do it. So why do we need to speak in a secret code? Like Corey said, tongues appeared in each region the Apostles/disciples didn't expect them to be. The Ethiopians(a Gentile), that Philip witness to and baptized didn't speak in tongues. I wasn't necessary because tongues would appear at the Gentile home of the Roman Centurion Cornelius in Acts 10:24-35.
And we know the tongues were a confirmation for Peter that Christianity was also for the Gentiles by this response.
      Acts 10:34-35 NASBS
“I most certainly understand now that God is not one to show partiality, [35] but in every nation the man who fears Him and does what is right is welcome to Him.
Why? Because before the persecution of Saul. They were only witnessing to Jews around Jerusalem/Judea. Jesus told them to the Samaritan's and outermost region (Gentiles).

I wanted to get to the bottom of where Pastors Corey is and when he asked the question when I wanted why didn’t receive told me a lot. The answer is this going through the process of receiving the gift of tongues is simply an act of faith some struggle with this because it’s hard for them to take that first step it’s like asking someone to jump off the boat but you will not jump. You simply just speak and as you take that act of faith you open the door for the Holy Spirit.

What you believe is very important. From the sound of the statement, it appears you believe more in what man told you is not true than what God said is possible. I got the gift of speaking in tongues years later after I got saved. I was in prayer and praying in the Father, son and the Holy Spirit with a friend and then a very warm sensation came over me and then my gift started happening. I in tongues and some very amazing thing has happened to me in doing so. Not all of us have the same gifts and doesn’t mean a person is not saved because they can’t speak in tongues. Verse 4 and 5 reads as "4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same spirit. 5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord."
Regarding the Holy Spirit, verses 29 and 30 asks the rhetorical question "29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers?, are all workers of miracles? 30 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?"
My conclusion is you DON'T have to have the gift of prophesy to be saved, you don't have to be an apostle to be saved or you don't have to speak in tongues to be saved "30 But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way."

I get irritated with people throwing it back at the person requesting the gift but don't get it as not having faith or enough faith. Well how much faith does he need? Is it a glass full, a gallon, a bucket? And can we measure it so we can know how hard he needs to tarry to at least reach the minimum faith for tongues. It's like it's faith in your ability to have faith. It's always linked to some nebulous faith that doesn't even make sense to the person who says you didn't have enough faith. @William-dt3zl praise the Lord. God says in Romans 8 if you have not my spirit you are none of his. God spirit is the Holy Ghost so you can’t be saved without having the Holy Ghost. “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;”
      ‭‭Mark‬ ‭16‬:‭17‬ ‭KJV‬‬
In 1 Corinthians 12 starting with verse 4 that’s in addition to the nature. Speaking in tongues come with having the Holy Ghost. Jesus taught a life and everyone that followed him live the life because he is the way the truth and life.
Jesus even spoke in tongues in Matthew 27/mark 15 and he is not a respect of persons.

Belief that speaking in tongues is powerful and makes the one “praying” in tongues to feel empowered is rooted in that persons faith in what they were taught about it and their faith in the individual who shared this “wonderful”knowledge with them. This is increased by them thinking of the masses around them saying this is possible and a gift they have a right to as a child of GOD😢 The power of persuasion has fueled the fallacy of “speaking/ praying in tongues” as believed now.

During my sorrow God met me with this powerful gift. I can come unto your show and express my experience. When I pray in tongues, it keeps me spiritually sound though not the only vehicle that God uses. Beloved we all have gifts - let us stop these “debates” but seek the lost for Christ all the more. It doesn't have to say they spoke in tongues. It was established that being filled with the Holy Ghost meant speaking with tongues. It's a repeat of Acts 2, they were filled with the Holy Ghost(spoke in tongues) & then Peter preached boldly & when ask what MUST WE DO to be saved Peter(being filled with the Holy Ghost the Spirit of Truth) said Repent, be baptized in Jesus' name, & you shall receive the Holy Ghost. Every instance after that, when people were filled, they spoke in tongues. So when it's established, it doesn't have to be repeated verbatim. In fact, Peter never says believe, he says repent, but it's established that belief is a requirement.

I think a vital point missed by Corey is that regarding hearing different languages when a person speaking in tongues at Pentacost, it was like ONE person speaking in tongues around TEN people from TEN different regions who only spoke their native tongue, hearing THEIR language being spoken by ONE person. It's like if I spoke in tongues in front of a person who spoke Swahili, a person who spoke German, a person who spoke Mandarin, a person who spoke Latin, etc, ALL CLEARLY UNDERSTAND what I'm saying, simultaneously. THAT'S what was happening at Pentacost. When Marcus is saying, "Well, my mom speaks four different languages, my brother speaks fluent German, etc", who cares? That's not what was happening at Pentacost. Different language speakers heard their respective language at the same time by the power of the Holy Spirit.

The receiving of the Holy Spirit was an experience so definite that one could answer yes or no to the question whether they had received the Holy Spirit. Read Acts 19 verse 2. Paul put to the little group of disciples at Ephesus the definite question," did you receive the Holy Ghost when you believed?".These men did not so much as hear whether the Holy Ghost was given to which Paul told them that it had, and he took steps whereby they were definitely baptized with the Holy Spirit before that meeting closed. Is also evident from Galatians 3: 2 that the Holy Spirit is a definite experience of which one may know whether he has received it or not. Paul said to the Believers in Galatia, " this only would I learn of you , received ye the Spirit by the works of the law or by the hearing of faith ?" They're receiving of the Spirit had been so definite as a matter of personal consciousness that Paul could appeal to it as a ground for his argument . The Bible is clear as day on this as on every other point. It sets forth an experience so definite and so real that one may know whether or not he has received the baptism with the Holy Spirit, and can answer yes or no to the question, " have you received the Holy Spirit ?" The baptism with the Holy Spirit is an operation of the Holy Spirit that is distinct from an additional to his regenerating work . This is evident from Acts 1:5, " for John truly baptized with water but you should be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence." It is clear that the disciples had not yet been baptized with the Holy Spirit, and that they were to be baptized not many days later. The men to whom Jesus spoke those words were already new men. They had been so pronounced by our Lord himself when he has said to them in John 15:3, " Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you." What does clean through the word mean? The question is answered in 1Peter 1:23 , "Being born again not of corruptible seed but of Incorruptible by the word of God which liveth and abideth forever ". A little earlier on the same night , Jesus had said to them in John 13:10 , " He that is washed needs not saved to wash his feet but is clean every whit : and you are clean, but not all." The Lord Jesus had pronounced that company of men clean, reborn men, with the exception of the one who never was a reborn man, Judas Iscariot who should betray him. Yet Jesus told the same men in Acts 1: 5 that the baptism with the Holy Spirit was an experience they had not yet realized that still lay in the future. So it is evident that it is one thing to be born again by the Holy Spirit through the word, and something distinct from this and additional to it to be baptized with the Holy Spirit. The people of Samaria in Acts chapter 8 came to faith in Christ by the preaching of Philip , but Peter and John were sent to Samaria for these saved believers to receive the Holy Ghost, " for us yet he was fallen upon none of them, only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus ". They were baptized believers, they had been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus, some of them were most assuredly reborn men, and yet not one of them had received or been baptized with the Holy Spirit. So again it is evident that the baptism with the Holy Spirit is an operation of the Holy Spirit distinct from and additional to his regenerating work. A man may be reborn by the Holy Spirit and still not be baptized with the Holy Spirit. In being reborn there is the impartation of Life by the Spirit's power, and the one who receives it is saved, and in the baptism with the Holy Spirit there is a impartation of Power, and the one who receives it is fitted first service.
Let's understand that it was after Cornelius and his family heard the "testimony" of Jesus, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. On the Gentiles was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost for they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God .
The church today is not in a normal condition. A very large part of the church is in the place where the believers in Samaria were before Peter and John came, as was the disciples in Ephesus before Paul came and told them of their larger privilege ....they were baptized believers, baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus, baptized unto repentance and remission of sins, but not as yet baptized with the Holy Spirit. Nevertheless, the baptism with the Holy Spirit is the birthright of every believer. It was purchased for us by the atoning death of Christ. When he ascended to the right hand of the Father he received the promise of the Father, and shed him forth upon the church, and if anyone today has not the baptism with the Holy Spirit as a "personal experience", it is because he has not claimed his Birthright.
The baptism with the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God coming upon the believer, filling his mind with the real apprehension of truth, especially of Christ, taken possession of his faculties, and imparting to him gifts not otherwise his, but qualify him for the service to which God has called him.
Jesus commanded his disciples in Acts 1:4 through 5 not to depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the Promise of the Father which says he , ye have heard of me . " For John truly baptized with water, but ye should be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence". It is evident then that the Promise of the Spirit means the baptism with the Holy Spirit. In Acts 2:33 we read, "Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, He has shed for this which ye now see and hear." It is evident here that the promise is the promise of the gift of the baptism with the Holy Spirit. Peter once again speaks by the Spirit in Acts chapter 2:38 through 39, Then Peter said unto them, " Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you and to your children and to all that are afar off even as many as the Lord our God shall call."
"It is unto you", said Peter to the crowd assembled before him, there is nothing in that for us. We were not there. That crowd was all Jews and we are not jews. But Peter did not stop there. He went further and said, "and to your children", that is to the next generation of Jews or all future generation of Jews. Still there is nothing in it for us for we are not jews. But Peter did not stop even there , he went further and said, "and to all that are afar off". ... that does take us in! We are the Gentiles who were once far off , but now made nigh by the blood of Christ. Ephesians 2:13. So on the day of Pentecost Peter declared that the baptism with the Holy Spirit is for EVERY child of God in every coming age of the church history. Praise God!!

There's a whole lot of misunderstanding with this and most who promote tongues only do so because of something they were told by somebody else, down through the years. It's a learned behavior. But it's not Biblical in the way that they promote it. Prayers up that we get this straight. I do think it can become a salvation issue, especially when people are faking and lying on the Holy Spirit, which we KNOW is extremely dangerous! Good video.

You never know what is said during speaking in tongues unless interpretation follows ,which also is a gift. When you speak in tongues you're talking to God.

The thief on the cross never spoke in tongues yet he was saved. Gifts are useful tools to help us individually and to edify the church for His glory. What they are not is proof of salvation. Evidence of salvation is fruits of the Holy Spirit. Which is produced overtime because of the sanctification work done within us by the Holy Spirit. Believing by faith the gospel of Jesus as the only life saving Truth to ever be written and spoken by Jesus Hinself is what leads us to repentance for redemption and forgiveness of sins that is only found in Jesus Christ alone.

The thief went to Paradise(Abraha's bossom), not heaven. He was saved under the old covenant because Jesus had yet to die & be resurrected. Y'all love talking about context then run to the their on the cross.

    Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith.
    And this is not your own doing;
it is the gift of God,
not a result of works, so that (no one may boast).

I agree, but your faith causes you to do works.
James 2:18 KJV - Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

@@lovepeace9245 Yes, Amen!! Salvation is NOT by *any* WORK...including baptism with the Holy Spirit, baptism by water, etc. It is only by FAITH and believing in our HEART that Jesus is Lord.

Marc is trying NOT be wrong . He was asked a SIMPLE YES OR NO QUESTION AND turned it into the dialog we've been listening to. The "tongues" conversation is based on 2 DIFFERENT instances with 2 DIFFERENT groups of people.

Hello, I know people that wants the gift of speaking in tongues but doesn’t have it. I didn’t want the gift nor thought about the gift, but one morning I awaken speaking in tongues (mostly sounds like Spanish but it changes). Didn’t know what I was saying, call a friend pastor of mine, and she said, “God has given you the gift of speaking in tongues “. It’s uncontrollable, when God wants me to speak, I speak. Now I am asking Him for the gift of understanding the gift. Thank you for allowing me to voice my opinion. God Bless you. 🙏🏾

Remember, when God knocked down the ladder that they were trying to be able to Heaven not the tower, he separated everybody and gave them different tongues/ languages.
Tongues uttered in the spirit or in prayer can be interpreted.
It is a conglomerate of existing languages. You just don't know them.
