We do not have to rely on big theatrical works. I’ve prayed for healing and seen the people I prayed for healed. God has made a way for me out of no way. The Holy Spirit helps me have patience, kindness, discernment, and to hold my tongue when I actually want to go off lol. The answer to the question is "yes", God does give the power of the Holy Spirit to those who ask. It's another thing to be guided by the Spirit and controlled by the same Spirit. There is abuse of the gifts and now we see alot of that among "charismatics". We are to stay full of the Holy Spirit - be not drunk with wine, but "be filled with the Holy Spirit". However, God gives us power for the purpose of sharing the gospel and ministering to the body of Christ and even the lost.What about the power to cast out evil spirits ? Do we have the power to cast them out in Jesus name ? The scripture is clear on this point.
Can you please do Apostle Emmanuel Iren. He has a global ministry and the vision for the next 4 years Or so is to have 20 million converts to the church. His ministry is extremely large and he has a following with mostly the African youths. he has brought some of his branches to the US. He is very biblically accurate, one of the most accurate there are in Africa but he is very charismatic. He knocks people down by the spirit or slays them. He imparts also ritual gifts and he says whatever is admired on him will be present in the live of the admirer which is a good prayer. He also states that he is a prototype for how a Lot of the younger ones should do ministry.

Demonic possession vs a mental stronghold, big difference. A Christian can’t get demonic possessed and yes they can have a mental stronghold which the Holy Spirit often works through on a personal level when the person is ready. Hey Corey, I definitely agree with you about how charismatics can do a little too much. But I just have a question about the argument of you. Don’t have to have the Holy Spirit or be a Christian to witness. What do you mean by that necessarily? Because my belief is that the Holy Spirit is the only one who can help us witness because without the Holy Spirit we don’t know what we really witnessing about. Just want clarity on that🤔 the Holy Spirit is who teaches us about Jesus and the things to communicate

I believe we are empowered by the Holy spirit to walk out our faith and to be able to not sin through that power but Super Powers? I don't think so. God can heal and he does. Just not always here on earth. Sometimes healing only comes when he takes us home to heaven.
I think they create this super hyperspiritual image that they walk with God 24/7. these pastors, and the people believe it in a church setting. The truth is revealed when the cameras are off and they are not in a church context.
It’s unfortunate that the fringe has the loudest voices. The same applies with the political landscape in America today. It’s unfortunate that the Calvinist/Cessationist type portray all Pentecostal/Charismatics in the same way. I know plenty of lukewarm, charismatic “Christians” that are bamboozled by these wolves. On the contrary, I know plenty of charismatics that are knowledgeable in the scriptures and denounce the obvious false doctrines of these wolves. I commend the denouncing of false teachings and teachers, but please stop with the generalization of all charismatics. I know plenty of non-charismatics that make doctrine their god, lacking a relationship with God, and lead just as many astray with man made doctrine because they have no guidance because they deny the works of the Spirit.
There is a parallel between seeking and begging for power from God and prostitution. Neither one is relational, and both are simply using another as a means to an end. God is Holy. His will be done, not mine. May our life glorify Him, not self.

the Bible does not tell us to let people know about the good teachers as a requirement, but Paul suggests that when he praises some of the people he worked with. But we have several verses that specifically order us to expose false teachers. And for the praying part, how do you know that he does not do that already? If you expose the false teaching, does not meant that you are sending people to hell. May God help you see the light. I'll pray for you.

Speaking in tongues is a sacred pillar and a lot of people's faith and the only thing that they seem to believe in and once you start poking around that it's going to start being offensive to people because the spirit is like fire.. so it's natural. We need to define two terms that we will use frequently, The Greek word for tongue is Glossia Glossolalia - this is what could be described as ecstatic speech, or (speaking unknown,) heavenly or (worldly languages) majority of the Pentecostal charismatic movement, would fall under this tongue.. The other term is - Xenoglossia - the ability to speak known earthly languages instantaneously without having any previous knowledge or learning of language. What's interesting when you encounter these terms on the academic world, Xenoglossia becomes a subterm underneath the Glossolalia, and it can be quite confusing if you do not catch it, that's why I'm separating the two the shoulder clear distinguish of the two. Most people only think that speaking in tongues, in the form of Glossolalia is strictly a Christian phenomenon ( and it's not ) if you say speaking in tongues to a normal person they're going to naturally think Pentecostal, however that is not the case especially in the case of Glossolalia, Let's actually look at historical records of Glossolalia throughout the ages to prove this context. Historical records - * 1100BC - a young Amen Ra - worshiper attracted historical infamy (when he became possessed by a god) and began to make strange sounds in a strange ecstatic tongue. We do not have to rely on big theatrical works. I’ve prayed for healing and seen the people I prayed for healed. God has made a way for me out of no way. The Holy Spirit helps me have patience, kindness, discernment, and to hold my tongue when I actually want to go off lol. These things are valuable gifts of the Holy Spirit and they don’t need to be underrated.

The answer to the question is "yes", God does give the power of the Holy Spirit to those who ask. It's another thing to be guided by the Spirit and controlled by the same Spirit. There is abuse of the gifts and now we see alot of that among "charismatics". We are to stay full of the Holy Spirit - be not drunk with wine, but "be filled with the Holy Spirit". However, God gives us power for the purpose of sharing the gospel and ministering to the body of Christ and even the lost.What about the power to cast out evil spirits ? Or so is to have 20 million converts to the church. His ministry is extremely large and he has a following with mostly the African youths. he has brought some of his branches to the US. He is very biblically accurate, one of the most accurate there are in Africa but he is very charismatic. He knocks people down by the spirit or slays them. He imparts also ritual gifts and he says whatever is admired on him will be present in the live of the admirer which is a good prayer. He also states that he is a prototype for how a Lot of the younger ones should do ministry.
People have told me they “feel” the power of God. I’m sure they feel something but that’s not necessarily the power of God. It’s emotion.

the Bible does not tell us to let people know about the good teachers as a requirement, but Paul suggests that when he praises some of the people he worked with. But we have several verses that specifically order us to expose false teachers. And for the praying part, how do you know that he does not do that already? Speaking in tongues is a sacred pillar and a lot of people's faith and the only thing that they seem to believe in and once you start poking around that it's going to start being offensive to people because the spirit is like fire.. so it's natural.
We need to define two terms that we will use frequently,
The Greek word for tongue is Glossia
Glossolalia - this is what could be described as ecstatic speech, or (speaking unknown,) heavenly or (worldly languages) majority of the Pentecostal charismatic movement, would fall under this tongue..
The other term is - Xenoglossia - the ability to speak known earthly languages instantaneously without having any previous knowledge or learning of language.
What's interesting when you encounter these terms on the academic world, Xenoglossia becomes a subterm underneath the Glossolalia, and it can be quite confusing if you do not catch it, that's why I'm separating the two the shoulder clear distinguish of the two.
Most people only think that speaking in tongues, in the form of Glossolalia is strictly a Christian phenomenon ( and it's not ) if you say speaking in tongues to a normal person they're going to naturally think Pentecostal, however that is not the case especially in the case of Glossolalia,
