- I still need more Frostpunk in my life. So how about the hardest scenario I can think of: extreme difficulty Endless mode on the Rifts map? We'll be starting on a small little platform in a ravine with limited access to resources and space while simultaneously preparing for several waves of the Great Storm. Sounds like the perfect challenge!

Hey all, I know there have been a lot of comments over the last few videos pointing out various "meta" strategies that I could/should be following. While I definitely appreciate that so many of you want to be helpful - and I'm happy to learn better strategies when I can - please do keep in mind that I'm not necessarily going to follow the optimal path. Sometimes half the fun is going with your gut and misreading a situation, and then scrambling to save the run. If everyone did things perfectly and followed the same strategies, these games would get real boring real quick.
At least, that's how I feel about it. Feel free to disagree below if you want!

I am with the other guy I get not playing optimally but to make your entire city more efficient please get better housing houses are best but even bunkhouses would be a great help and would also alleviate some of the discontent

Despite being an engineer, Pravus isn't very good at city planning or resource management.

@Ethan MACLEAN Hothouses:
*Require Steam Cores
*Are large
*Are very temperature sensitive
Hunter's Huts/Hangars:
*Are cheaper to build
*Are smaller
*Have a wider range of upgrade techs, including reduction of required manpower
Granted, Hothouses can be worked by children (with the right laws), while Hunters can only be Workers. Still, a flotilla of Flying Hunters is much easier to field than an equivalent value of food production in Hothouses. ='[.]'=

Pravus, I may be wrong, but I seen a method to save few hours from traveling with your scouts. If you are going in the direction in witch you already scouted a bit you just go to explored place to unexplored one. From what I have seen it saves few hours. You said that you like, sometimes, to exploit a bit so I think this might be useful. And of course, Prise Saint Pravus, our great prophet.
I wish you would have used that wood patch on the main island from the start so you didn’t waist so much wood

So yeah...tried the Rifts Endless Extreme and it kicked my ass. Makes it harder to criticize Pravus's playstyle lol.
Pravus, the closest infinite resource is another iron ore deposit.... Not coal
Pravus and Frostpunk is a mighty combination.
I hope you realize how important you are to the world and get the energy to do all what matters. Enjoy your month.
Couldn't the Coal Thumpers be placed where the steel mine is? that one would only have one additional area to heat.
You guys really think he'll use the bunkhouses? No. He won't. He knows we've been sassing him, that's why he hasn't been doing it.
It's honestly surprising how you managed to survive after so many close calls good job! Do you get a new hazard after a blizzard and get rid of the old one? Or do you have both?

both. the hazard goes away during the storm, and a new one comes up a little bit after the storm finishes
Funfact: The storm in the endless mode behaves the same way as in the senarios. when the pop-up for the storm appears it appears on the map in all directions and slowly makes it's way to you. so long as your scouts are back and disbanded by the time it reaches them, you're fine.
If you ever play as faith, you can use house of healing instead f infirmaries. They are almost as effective, with child labor you can run them with kids, and they don't require steam cores. House of healing is super good.
If you can manage the discontent, you have got this! You got a bridge to that second set of cores which also looks to be on an island with lots of wood.
Probably have it all recorded, but is a perfect time for optimization, find another steel spot perhaps? Try and build work outposts to fix the heating problems from mixing buildings?

Wow Pravus, I was impressed with your Plague Inc, Rebel Inc, and some other games videos. And I'm far for being a expert about this game, but.... it was totally cringe to watch 6 full episodes + 24 minutes in episode 7 until you finally developped bunkhouses. I'm glad you acknowledged the fail about the camp set-up and the steel deposit, but still, you wasted so many ressources on random researchs, and and these 7-8 early gathering depots for 2 charcoal spots.. How can you play these games taking so clueless decisions sometimes, but still managing to overcome it? I'm literally impressed on how miraculous it is that you survived that far on this Extreme Endless Rift session. You'll never cease to amaze me, Lawd Pravus !

@@ottopike6000 Whatever man, feel free to believe it's worth to get 4 or 5 buildings instead of 2, or to build then dismantle then rebuild steam pods here and there
@@hiddentw4901 obviously he's not playing as optimally as you possibly can, but the relative cost of a few minor buildings being moved isn't game breaking.

YOU CAN GET A STEAM CORE IN THE RELICS
You can get a model of a prototype not a full steam core
I'm pretty sure you can _waste_ a steam core in the relics

you don't get steam cores from relics, you can spend steam cores to make it safe.
