Peavey has made great stuff over the years and still does. It's all about what a person likes and what is comfortable in their hand. Don't get hung up on the name, the guys who built Rudy's bass are just as cool as any other builders.
You need to open your mind and ears a little. Peavey has produced several excellent models over the years, and the Cirrus featured here is only one of them.

Rudy Sarzo is a great bass player, but Peavey guitars suck.
Neck thru, double buck......The only thing not to like IMHO is the long 35" scale.
