Before his mother also left to move to Russia I knew he was still alive and well. I hope and Pray Yevgeny my childhood friend please survive this terrible tragedy of a conflict instigated by an evil and corrupt Cabal of Nations that wish to destroy Russia and BRICS because the world power has now shifted permanently to the East or more accurately the centre of the world. The systemic breakdown is inevitable. RF uses just 60 k troops to slice up Kharkov. But Russia has 400‘000 fully trained SMO reserves with seed experience from the front, ca 10%. So they can slice up Zaparozhe, Odessa and Sumy at the same time and still have 200‘000 reserves. Every month the Russian SMO army grows by 30000 fully trained soldiers. At the same time they have a stock of some 10‘000 large missiles. This is why the Americans gave the Ukraine up in Nov 2023. The only ones still fantasizing of victory are the Nazis in Kiev and Brussels.

Note: Actually 3rd battle was in February - March of 1943 , but second one was in May 1942.

Over the past 24 hours, 12 settlements in the Kharkov region have been liberated 3-5 km from Ukraine Regime Defences. By expanding the control zone in the border area to 50 sq. km.
Russian troops yesterday achieved “tactically significant successes and is designed to achieve a strategic effect in diverting Ukrainian manpower from other critical sectors of the front.
The purpose is to push Ukrainian Regime Forces back from the border with the Belgorod region and advance to Kharkov within range of cannon artillery - that is, closer than 25 kilometers. Now Russian troops are located 30 kilometers from Kharkov.
This is not a large offensive but a limited operation to carve a buffer zone.

In 2022 it was not the same circumstances.
They are now much stronger.
It was a requirement that was placed on Russia, to back off from the Kiev area, in order to be able to sign a peace agreement in Istanbul in April 2022. And Russia complied with the requirement in order to be able to sign peace with Ukraine. Three times Russia has tried to resolve the conflict by peaceful means and it is not working for the West. They sent the 🤡Jonsson to Kyiv. Here we are now!

It's complicated. On the one hand I'd like to get a more Europe-centric view - you know, in effin Europe - and just perhaps bring Sov, eh Russia closer, perhaps as a counter-balance to the Yanks meddling. I also remember that Europe used to have its own 'Hollywood' in Berlin, and Broadway there too. Play Russia inclusive of Europe, and we can make peace, offsetting US, centering the wieght in Europe. The "only" problem I have with that is the power-hungry imperialist EU.

I think that the rest of the operations and therefore for us, the understanding of what the Russians want to do, will depend on the Ukrainian movements. Until now, it is impossible to know whether this push on Kharkov is a real objective or a maskirovka. If the Ukrainians don't move, the Russians will probably be able to move forward. But if the Ukrainians move troops to defend Kharkov, it is at that moment and only at that moment that we will see the attitude of the Russians: either they will force on Kharkov which will mean that it is indeed their objective, either they will block the Ukrainians, possibly even, they will retreat to launch the real offensive elsewhere. For example on Kherson where they also massed troops. Tactically speaking, the next few days will be very interesting...

The fact that this motorized regiment without much heavy gear was used is revealing. It confirms reports that Russia is no where close to introducing its “main force” into the region, which can come much later after Russia has tested the Ukrainian defenses, revealed their positions via recon-by-fire, and then softened them up with air strikes.
Ukrainian military sources report that not only does Russia possibly have a much larger force it intends to introduce later, but another one is gathering in Sumy region as well:

Despite advance warning and accurate intel, Ukraine can do nothing about the events that are soon to come. This is a chess match and a numbers game; you can “know” full well the constrictor is tightening over your chest, but there will be little you can do about it. Ukraine will lack the means to respond to the constant swell of Russian troops and armaments on every single frontline, which will only stretch longer and longer as Russia potentially introduces new breaches into Sumy, Chernigov, and perhaps even elsewhere-some Russian channels are still trading rumors of a potential push from Belarus into Kiev region as eventual part of the now initiated cascade.
Recall all the quotes from Ukrainian officers I recently posted wherein they admitted they don’t have the mobility to match Russian ‘whack-a-mole’ tactics. Russia can transfer units from one region to another and mesmerize the AFU with the ‘thousand cuts’ from every angle, and Ukraine simply doesn’t have the logistical infrastructure to keep up plugging each hole. The longer the front stretches, the worse this issue becomes. - Simplicius
