@@theod610 I'm a fan of both and I aware of the damage Nas did with Either!! However jay z is a beast of free styling ! Jay z is not the one that people should sleep on! He is Extremely witty and crafty and calculated.
The thing about Verzuz, it's really about the performance. The hits matter, but if you go out there and rap like you need a deal(Jada) you will win. Of you play it too cool(Fab/Dipset) you will lose... Regardless of the songs. With that being said, I really don't see Jay or Nas coming out there rapping their asses off, so it depends on the tracklist.
Illmatic vs. unreasonable doubt, both albums are classics and before their time. The culture definitely wins. There is no right song performed after another for the Gods. This will end with a joint song. When it happens it’s gonna be a beautiful thing. 2 Kings, 2 thrones, 2 mics, 1 STAGE.
Please stop putting reasonable doubt next to illmatic doggystyle ready to die only built for cuban linx infamous but especially ILLMATIC. Jay had mad collaborations on his debut ever single on that album had a feature from dead presidents has Nas vocals and Nas would have been a feature he is had Mary J Blidge on can't knock the hustle although he wrote ain't no ninja he still featured a under age foxy Brown that's another feature then there is a girl singing on the hook to Feeling it. And that has been J's formula his whole entire career and nobody talks about this. U can't say u R the greatest unless you hold your own and showcase your talent and I'm Jay hasn't done that once. Most of these rappers y'all call great don't have albums that weren't heavily featured oriented. ILLMATIC Nas did Solo yes the album had AZ but that was his entry into the game he wasn't famous or had any songs out or anything so how can you think to put reasonable doubt anywhere Illmatic I mean Nas ghosted him for a feature for reasonable doubt and he still sample that Man on his debut. This is where ppl r confused and delusional and they get caught up to smoking mirrors and they can't see the obvious right in front of them. Then Nas not only ghosted him but also dropped another classic album in the same month Jay drops his debut forget the line lex with tv sets minimum that was a excuse for Jay to use because on his next album the beginning of the vol series on volume 1 Jay sample Nas again on rap game crack game and then puts himself in the conversation with Nas and Biggie in which Jay sales lyrics or skills where on the level technically like Nas or Big. Jay did this many times in his career making statements without nobody checking him outside of a few ppl back then like prodigy and that's why he went at them on the worst overated diss song ever The Fakeover. This guy had the never to say Ny got soft ever since snoop came through and crushed the buildings I'm trying to restore the feeling what feeling Nas Big mobb deep Wu ran Ny at that time and Jay was not outside in them streets like that Yeah he might of been in the club popping 🍾 but he didn't want no sauce during the West Coast East Coast beef and it have been facts they had Jay stuck in hotels scared to death Jay been soft thats why 50 cent always dissed him I mean this the same guy that Solange beat up in the elevator 😂
Don't matter if u like Hov or Esco they both are Top Dogs and at the end of the day both these brothers are still here and alive to witness after math of there success not many get to enjoy this so if it happens Hip-hop gets the biggest W once again Hov is my favorite and I like Nas ill appreciate the show...
No take over or ether… they don’t need to take it there.. that shit needs to stay in the past dead and buried. Jay z has no awnser if Nas drops ether.....that will be the only talking point of the battle. Nas has certain songs that hit better for battles but they both has serious hits.
They right that it really comes down to song selection and the energy on stage and in the room. But on the real - and I'm team Nas all day - But Jay got at least two combinations of set list that Nas shouldn't be able to compete with...All he gotta do is pick the right songs and he should get the W...But stranger things have happened 🤷🏾♂️
Nas my #1 goat but Jay got more moments on other people’s records. If verzuz was soley based only their catalog then I go with Nas but Jay can even perform Still Dre and bring Beyonce out lol
Exactly. Jay and Nas is like the cool guy vs the high school quarterback and his teeamates and the cheerleader. On skill, yeah it's even. But Jay cares sooooooo much about image and that's what verzuz is all about. Nas could give a fuck which is why I love him but why he'd be terrible for a verzuz.
@@LembeckIsStaying I feel what you wrote but i still disagree, i don't think it would go that way. Nas too great for that. He would put up a fight (in my opinion he would win that one)
Yes because jz really Steals a lot of people's shit! He a wave rider. Most his big songs from the rocafella days were stolen from his artist. Then he refused to put out their albums because he was stealing their ideas. This is facts. Go look up Oschino, Beanie Seigel interviews about Jz biting and stealing people's shit.
Souch a tough decision. I think jay brings different elements depending on the magnitude of the event. He has features who come out. He will hit you with an unheard freestyle. He switches the beats up in the middle of the song. A lot of elements to a Jay Z performance. Nas performance is almost theater like. A build up to a climax. It's wild. It would be an epic verzuz.
Nas vs Hov… wowwwww it would literally come down to song selection and who controls the crowd the best that night. However I would want them to revisit Takeover and Ether. They did that and agreed to leave it in the past. Neither one of them have performed either one of them songs since they agreed never to do them again. Why go backwards… If it ever happens they could make this be the 1st and maybe last Pay Per View Versus…
Each Generation had that battle, Furious 5 vs Cold Crush Crew, Big Daddy Kane Vs. Rakim, MC Shan vs KRS-One, Nas vs Jay-Z, DMX vs all NY, Kendrick vs J Cole
Def Greatest Two MCs of All Time. However Either Would Never Risk Their Legacy For That Platform. It’s Not Classy Enough and They Would Need At Least 75% of The Proceeds To Ras Clat.
The criteria of all battles should be set in stone before during the battles. That way it eliminates bs like ppl thinking a person’s level of fame dictates their level of talent and body of work.

Fam, Jay went mainstream. You can't listen to Reasonable Doubt and compare to anything in Jay's future. No hate, Hov was at his peak during RD artistically. He just got popular and the narrative changed. It happens.
@@LembeckIsStaying I can compare Reasonable Doubt to Blueprint, The Black Album, Blueprint 2, American Gangster, 4:44. I get the nostalgia around Reasonable Doubt but to say he hasn’t made anything better is completely disregarding the evolution he went thru as an artist. It’s like after that you’re gonna tell me NOTHING was close to if not better than his first album. Nas definitely I could say that about, I can’t think of anything that has come close to surpassing Illmatic except Stillmatic and that’s still questionable 😬. Both of them went Mainstream it happens to great artists
I want to see this, and if it ever happens, IDGAF, I’ll be in that building. But if it ain’t them two, I honestly feel like HOV and Snoop would’ve been a great battle. Snoop has a great catalog and is a great stage performer. He’s not as lyrical as HOV in his later years but he has a lot of classic hits. And HOV couldn’t bully him on stage with jokes cause Snoop is funny then a mothafucka. 20 v 20 I think that would be a great match. When you condense Jay catalog to 20 records, it’s gonna be tough to beat, especially with him being a dope performer, he has everything, radio hits, classic features, anthems, cult classics, classic album cuts even classic songs he wrote for others, but it would be dope seeing them on stage together playin they records.

That will be the BEST VERSUS EVER!!!!!!! I can’t decide!!!
If they don't I don't want to see it.
