If you're going to keep reviewing Basketball shoes then PLEASE actually do basketball tests in them. What is the grip like on an indoor an outdoor court? Do they gather dust quickly and how easy is it to wipe off that dust. Saying "these might cause you foot pain while playing" Means NOTHING if you dont actually have someone reviewing them who ALSO plays in them. How quickly do these stop during transitions?? What is the cushion like during jumps??
It here are plenty of other channels that specialize in performance reviews. But rose anvil more so focuses on the actual construction and material quality. How the shoes are actually made. Not how they play
It's just the stuff they do with all shoes. They have a pipeline from the shoes showing up to the video being published and they're not deviating from it, even if testing puncture resistance makes a lot less sense for basketball shoes than work boots. It might feel a bit weird for shoes that are all about performance over durability, but it also means they're doing videos on what they know best, which is shoe construction.
These are supposed to be one of the best new sneakers for guard style play so it's interesting to see it's just the same old materials applied in a slightly different way. I hope you got the Adidas AE1 in the line up.
If you ever do a rollerskate boot I’d love to see if the moxi Jack 2 boot actually has the ankle support modeled after medical ankle braces they claim to
At this stage, most of these ultra modern shoes look like something a person adept at crafts could put together with supplies for a local craft or hardware store, and save themselves a LOT of money
This is interesting as a topic, and it illustrates an issue. The future is ugly. But only if you follow their trends. If only people would just ignore these so called "trend setters". That shoe is ugly, the product of a designer that never learnt to design, a fridge trophy designer as my old teacher would call them. Our choices are not and should not, be controlled by them.
not that i dislike your crew or anything... they all seem like good ppl.. BUT.., i miss having you do the whole video Weston.., you have a great presence and that's what alot of ppl were drawn to watching your videos
You'll never appreciate anything new if yoi don't give it time to mature. Even as neutrally as you put your comment, that van be devastating to them, especially given how many people are being rude in these comments. Weston is a boot nerd, but doesn't know (or probably care) much about sneakers. This guy is their sneaker guy and Weston wanted him to have the cresit due for being the one who wrote the scripts and doing the research on shoes. Homestly I think it is a really cool thing thry are doing having an expert make the presentation instead of some guy eho doesn't care reading a script. This is more honest.
regards everyone! the new presenter is ok but I really subscribed because of the owner himself and original presenter and because of the cat of course!! :D so what's going on? thanks! Blessings!
Um... have you not watched in a long time? This guy is their wxpert on sneakers, so he does the sneaker videos. Weston is big into boots and leather, so he reviews all the leather footware and boots. Weston admits he doesn't really know much about sneakers and decided to let this guy host, since otherwise he would just be reading a script this guy wrote, so he might as well let the guy have the credit. I hope that clears things up. It was explained a couple of videos ago.
Bro was well spoken and precise. But did not feel natural.. felt like I was being sold on something. Just constructive hope it doesn't feel like hate. Keep grinding must have passion if you made it on the channel!
I thunk i could wear these shoes in a functional sense i usually cant wear adidas but. Where the pinkie toe side of my foot would have obstruction. But still would get the KDs
More "design," higher and higher prices, less and less value. In terms of how these shoes hold up, I'd like to know how often the superstars change for new pairs compared to the average consumer, particularly at these prices? I suspect that if we knew the answer to this question it would make people think twice before handing over the plastic.
A decent amount of NBA players swap shoes out every game. It's why they pull out their custom insoles then give the shoes away after the game. The fresh pair has the least amount of chance of failure due to wear and the most response traction wise. Any issue may be fit but they usually have that down before starting a new shoe type for games. No one wears shoes like a pro player of any sport so it's not a really valid comparison. They wear a shoe down in a night more than most people would in a week then thru swap em.
@@Ratchetfan321 You missed the point entirely. Have you ever once heard any of these shoe giants give this kind of explanation to consumers? It would instantly pop their marketing bubble.
The " future is ugly " ? No , now is ugly. 90% of all things made today are ugly as hell, and when it comes to footwear 95% of all sneakers or tennis shoes made in the past 40 years are / have been extremely ugly, though we are certainly at peak ugliness right now.
I absolutely do not see the sidewalls as a drawback. They are going to crease where your foot naturally creases on its own. So why that would create a pressure point doesn't really make sense cuz it's creasing to contour with your natural foot. Maybe if somebody else put on the shoe after you've already worn it they might get pressure points but I doubt you would
try wearing gumboots. By default whenever somebody designs a shoe they're supposed to design it with the ergonomics of the wearer in mind. That's why we do things like skiving, it is absolutely plausible that that shape is going to bend with the foot in ways that you don't want it to. But yeah the design brief of this particular item was obviously make it look amazing and then everything else followed from that. I think it's a backwards philosophy. time will tell let's see if these things actually get remade 50 times in the next 20 years?
Because when they crease they bend in, as into the foot exerting pressure. Creasing means the material is buckling and having to redirect the energy put into it into another direction, in this case the top if the foot. Which happens to be a relatively sensitive area to damage with no natural padding. This is the opposite of breaking in to your shape, it will shape itsself regardless of your foot, your foot will take the wear, not the shoe.
Im trying to find a good cowboy/western style boot for everday wear, specifally not work boots, $300 range, soft toe and lightweight, what boots would yall recommend?
Apparently you don't watch the channel, since he is still hosting most episodes. Ge just doesn't review sneakers because he isn't an expert, like this guy.
I thnk that Altra shoes would be an ineresting shoe to take apart. Its almost a barefoot shoe. Footshaped toebox, most shoes are 0 drop, but they have about 22 mm of foam. Very minimal, but not all the way there, I feel like of the quality is there they have potential
Doesn't matter which player wears which shoes. They're pros and being paid to wear them. If they wore different shoes.... they're still pros. BTW everyone's feet are different.

I dont like the fact that they kinda look like Football shoes, and the shouldn't look like that (the rest of the world football, not American) they should be more squeeshy. But really good construction. I would rather cop those than of tones of the current models out there

Great constructive comment. To add I think it’s good to review the materials/quality but as you mentioned, in game play perspective would be helpful.
This would be great

Haha its just marketing, these are designed to sell, this is all.
Those Hardens are designed to make frequent flopping more effortless
and comfortable.

Kobe Bryant and Antoine Walker were the reason why i loved Adidas back in the 90s. Their early shoes are my favorites/Grails
There are so many interesting leather shoes and boots you could do that people will watch instead of trying to capture a hype sneaker audience
I love the Style & fit . Comfortable.
I have my old hardens with the Velcro cuz I'm lazy, I wear em every day lol
“Where my worm at 3s” lol
Was waiting for the DJ Burns cameo. Glad you cut that in. Go Pack!
let's see a review on the AE1s please
You should do the AE1. People are raving about those shoes.
I think the jordan 38's would be good to cut in half. I saw the video on the 36's and that is an insane technical shoe
I like that ADIDAS is trying to change the shoe silhouette.
Harden still playing? He doesn’t need high performance shoes, he just flop and go to the line all the time
Floppin and flailing...and still getting bs calls.
You should make sport specific series,
This guy’s doing a great job of narrating!
Can you do the adidas free hikers? The cold ready high ones would be sick

Do YZY pods or cut a Jordan 1 Golf shoe. Great video btw. Peace

I wanna see you cut into some Asics Nova Surge basketball shoes
We need the yeezy 1050s or the foam rnr boots or the knit rnr boots for yepril
Who the hell is this dood????
Watch the videos where they explain it. He's their sneaker guy, because Weston doesn't know much about sneakers.
AE1 cut-in-half coming up?
Please cut the NB Rebel V4’s in half (The most comfortable shoe of 2024)😊
Still doing sneakers before the the A stars SUPERVICTORY/ OG Hi-Points… I see how it is

Gimmick shoe with weird look.
Do the adidas AE 1 👍🏻

Yes @Antek_S, AE1's next
Do Nike alphafly if you havent already
cut open the yeezy 500, quantum, 380, or the 700 v3
Who is James Harden
"yes officer that was unmistakably james harden"
Is this a late April fools joke?
?
Look at new balance basket ball and Wade Sneakers
Shaq did the same design 25 years ago.
Looks similar to the Adidas Kobe2
I would have hundreds of stitches if I cut all these shoes.
All it takes for people to buy b*tt ugly shoes is for an extremely paid basketball player to put his name on it?? The hand basket awaits….
Ae1
@ 5:51 what does that say in braille?
I know it's been said but I also know you're reading what being said.
AE 1 !!!
The AE are better
Adidas styling is always on the low end.

Harden Vol 8

Not , if it's a sneaker.

@@sinisterthoughts2896 Oh, pardon me for having a job. 😋
The Kobe 2 is criminally cringy. Whoever bought those was probably a cowboys fan.

Go back about 6 of these videos and you will find the answer. They explained everything in the first video of this series
Apparently you don't watch the channel much.
KD16 is a far better looking shoe.
read recently that adidas designed ye's half naked girlfriend whos with him everywhere
Yeezy 700 V3?

?
It got better
That’s one ugly shoe.
Who the hell is this guy?
Their sneaker guy. They introduced a while back, he's hosted several epsiodes. I take it you don't watch the channel much.
flat iron shoe
These sneaker reveiws aren't great. They feel rushed and pushed along.
The quality of these are sub-par and it's quite disappointing.
Basically the same formst as the boots, it's just most sneakers don't have a lot of history.
these might be ugly, but they are still good performing basketball shoes.
the fact that several nba players are wearing them proves that.
Never liked anything Adidas.
I wish you’d pronounce Adidas properly
He pronounces it the American way, which is fine.
He is. Adidas themselves pronounces it that way in their own American advertising and press releases.
😢
It is correct, deal with it.

That is how the company pronounces it in North America, so it is correct. Take it up with them.
