Her vocal style is improving, I noticed she used more of a mature mix in her voice rather than the nasal-YG style she used in the recorded version. I actually like how she sounds live here better! I'm so impressed

Me too. Haters like to attack her using her live performance like lip sync, unstable singing voice, easy choreo etc. She's still learning and improving herself which is great for her talent and people need to know the fact that idols were humans too, you can't just hope idols to be 100% all the time, they can get tired or did some mistakes too...
I love her vocal since sixteen, but tbh i dont like her YG-nasal technique in WYWF studio ver. She's already better without that YG-nasal technique

@KPOP FANATIC True but other soloist like Chungha, IU, Sunmi also came here before and the playback was much lesser and softer than this one. I wished they toned it down more because YHY is the place where people hear idols live vocals with dancing and all but like I could mostly hear the playback instead lol
@@michellekercy4430 Chungha too I guess (or she just has a better foundation since her trainee period isn't that much longer than Somi) but I still wish her playback could be softer, enough so she doesn't need to sing everything herself but at least we can still hear her live vocals clearly
@KPOP FANATIC somi doesn’t sing a lot of parts though, for example the whole chorus is pretty much untouched and the challenging parts she dodge them. but yea i agree she has to deal with a lot of things and one of them is training to find the confidence and spark that made her the nation’s center years ago. if you think about it, soloists from IOI have improved and grown as performers since PD101. But Somi’s peak and best moments are still in PD101 and IOI.
