I agree but I think what that one guy meant by, "poor company decisions" is when it's about that change to bullet drop or the abhorrent locker + lobby UI. I could be wrong about this but that's just what I thought.
I really don’t understand the hate for the ui.
Both the lobby and locker layout looks nice and clean and is very organized.
I would like a way to “favorite” certain rows in discovery so certain rows that I “favorited” will show at the top.
And the locker ui is nice. Being able to seperate each mode quite nicely with presets seperate Ed by mode. I like it.
Perhaps I misunderstood. That is objectively bad lol

Not only was it simple, but it was also very much organized as well. It also looked cool as hell seeing all the background rarity colors behind your cosmetics and seeing just how many different rarities you had that weren't just uncommon to Legendary ( Like Gaming Legends and Star Wars Rarities ).
The new UI kept getting worse and worse, with some slight improvements made here and there, it eventually got more cluttered and confusing. I swear, when Chapter 5 came out, I didn’t even know what I was looking at when I was simply trying to change my skin. Like, wtf are Auras?
They know what they are doing. They make the game for them not the players. It’s all marketing and manipulation
I always knew that Fortnite Reddit and Twitter were bad, but I was in disbelief when I saw people trying to boycott the game over them removing cosmetic rarities

I grew up playing Fallout 3 and New Vegas. The DLC came with a level warning, so you didn't go into it when you were not equipped to handle it. I ignored that and adapted to over the difficulty. I grew to enjoy that. For me, I enjoy the challenge of taking on the new crazy stuff they add in and trying to survive and overcome everything without having to change my strategy.

Is Fortnite dying? No. Have they made many poor business decisions? Oh most definitely. Is this chapter bad or good? Yes and no. I personally think the art direction is bad. The game is trying to lean more into a "realism" route with its art direction. Imo chapter 4-5's art direction is bad. I hate it. The only problem I have so far is really just the art direction. The overall gameplay is fine. It's not good it's not bad it's just fine. Fortnite could do better but I'm willing to see what progress os made.
Heavy on the artstyle, but it's also just losing its identity.
I've been very critical on the art style as well. However, I LOVED Chapter 4's. That was my favorite!
@@Clen- Chapter 4's was extremely good in all honesty. It was beautiful and stunning lighting with stylised graphics, Chapter 5 just discarded it for no reason.

You know the reason why the avatar skins were overpriced is first its hard emulate and copy skins from An old TV show with no 3d rendering and if you look at the avatar skins themselves there the comic variant of avatar which is even Hader to do hence there price
But if you looked at skins like dragon ball, there is already a 3d rendering to emulate from, hence why they are cheaper

I don’t care about the skins prices but it’s a big annoying that I save up money for a cool skin but then it’s just the same item shop with a New skin (it was in the shop a month ago) and I personally think they should give us OG Fortnite with the chapter 1 map as a separate mode I prefer that type of gameplay I’m getting old so my vision is getting weaker and it’s hard to keep up with the fast paced gameplay but I do like the cars this season they are very fun!

Fortnite players would have a heart attack if Fortnite was owned by Valve and not Epic Games. Take a look at Team Fortress 2 and CS GO community and you will see how spoiled we are. Those communities would KILL just to see one shiny update page every 5 months and here we are with people complaining about 1 update every week.

I haven’t criticized Fortnite ever even if the game is repetitive at least there are options which people choose to ignore in order to get what they want which is epic’s attention, both casual and competitive and streamers even are guilty of it , we should be grateful every 25th of every month to show our appreciation for Epic

Clen I get that you want to defend Epic and defend Fortnite like usual but people complaining about the prices on Item Shop skins and things like that have every right to do so.. Normally you were able to get 1 maybe 2 skins when you payed $20 but now for example with the Avatar collab you would have to pay $25 just for one single skin and the emote for said collab cost 500 vbucks when it only last 8 seconds? And this is just when they removed the rarity feature, there was a skin in Chapter 5 season 1 that was actually set as a rare skin that costed 1200 v-bucks and was a basic stw hero that had no backbling and would normally be uncommon man just because you like the game and you like Epic and I get that the community is annoying at times but getting mad at valid criticism just makes you look worse.
That post was not valid criticism at all. I stand by what I said. If people have issues with this, vote with your wallet. Any business would shoot up their prices if people bought their products no matter what.

@@ZQPPSClen never said it was invalid to criticize the costs. But he's right in what actually effects change. If you complain about the skin but buy it anyway, then Epic has no incentive to change the cost point. Hence voting with your wallet is the only practical way to effect that change.
I do this all the time. I see a cool item, it costs too much, I don't buy it.
But I also understand economies of scale. I might not buy it, buy if 1000s of other people do, well then they aren't likely change and I can't do much. Yelling on the internet does little to change that.
But again, the skins are optional and I also remember that It's a free to play game and the skins do not practically change the game play in any way. If I want to play Fortnite and spend $0 I can, and it doesn't hold me back gameplay wise at all. That's an important aspect to remember.

One thing people need to realize is that epic doesn't decide the terms of a collab the collab ip gets to choose which includes pricing but epic has remained reasonable on cosmetic pricing and to anyone who wishes to claim greed epic gives 30% of their annual revenue to discovery creators

I agree tbh, ever since chapter 2 season 5 the game has been very slowly getting worse each year. At first it was just collab spamming and eventually the gameplay got worse, seasonal events became mid, live events disappeared etc:
We've had some of the best seasons since then!
This is exactly why I don't buy car cosmetics... I see them as overpriced and have plenty i have got for free...
And yup if ya dont like it dont buy it or don't play it...
I've actually been playing bolt gun, and retro doom recently and been having a blast because fortnites been stale and boring recently..

idk... I wouldn't say people who complain about the game feel entitled or anything. I think for some people, it's because they genuinely care about Fortnite and don't like the direction it's going in so they want to voice their opinion, even if they know it will have no affect. I'm not saying there aren't people who are greedy and want the game to conform to their wishes, but I'd argue that's on both sides. Whether it's comp v casual or lovers v haters, both want the game to be different in their favor. Plus, even if the community is arguing and exaggerating things, it's not a bad thing to voice your thoughts on the state of the game, even if it is a bit extreme sometimes. I'm personally on the side of the game being in a subpar state (to say the least), but I'm not at anyone's throats since I know that people have differing opinions and that there's evidence that can support both sides. Even then, just because someone complains, doesn't mean they don't like a product. I don't like a lot of Epic's decisions, but I still find the game enjoyable, especially with friends. The main root of the divide in the community I think is this: Epic wants to try appeasing everyone. But, with such a difference between all the modes, they can't do this while still keeping everything "accessible" or whatever they're trying to do. Their treating the game like a scale, trying to balance each side of the community evenly, when it really should all be separate, but idk for sure. Sorry for the long rant, but once I start, it's hard to stop lol (probably the same reason others make their opinion seem so extreme because they simply get caught up in the heat of the moment).

Nice video, bro. There are a lot of interesting points from others in the community, and as for my take on all of this, it is the Fortnite community; whether it be competitive, content creators, or casuals, players need to get their act straight. Simply complaining and being toxic to others due to different views on the game, and just constantly bashing Epic Games--to the point where some truly reprehensible individuals go after Epic employees.
Yes, Epic Games makes mistakes and bad additions to the game.
But, unlike, say, EA, 343, or Activision,.
Epic will listen to our feedback.
It's just up to us how we voice ourselves and act; that's the key, including how Epic voices and takes our actions.
And again, being in bad faith and entitled will do nothing more than make things worse.

6:20 i dont care about the skins, but people are allowed to post about what they want gameplay wise💀 The problem is people like you who dont understand that as the consumer you have the right to an opinion. If multiple people are saying the same thing, not even about skins, but about the way the game is playing, the developers should strive for some middle ground that makes the game enjoyable for everyone. when people said they didnt like the cars in ranked, Epic didnt listen, and people started getting off of the game. They tried to get people back with the reboot rally AGAIN, and the game still had a lower than average player count, so they eventually caved and split the loot pool. Youre SUPPOSED to voice your opinion because your opinion means something to these companies when theres enough people saying it.

Well there is some truth behind the post,For example the cars meta isn’t very fun and the comps are all over the game,But i still play it for the collabs and og.
It reminds me of the metal gear box update. People freaked out and klarque made a post that gotta lotta hate, but that's because PEOPLE PLAY THIS GAME 24/7. Of course it gets stale or the meta gets annoying, the price tags, bugs, and sweats all feel worse when it's all you do. "The box was the only change" no we have 3 new games in fortnite. Play some creative, play some other games, get a hobby and go outside. Take a break come back and tell me other games can do it like epic

honestly, the game isnt dying, like yea epic has made plenty of bad decisions like nerfing cars into the ground and then seperating them in ranked or just not having old battlepasses be available. but you know who else made bad decisions? mojang, but minecraft is still alive and well
some people like to whine and complain instead of simply stating that this or that should be this way and here's why. ive gone over it many times, and i still think battlepasses shouldnt be exclusive but rather equal oppritunity
as for prices, its rather affordable, i work a minimum wage job in the US and im still able to afford skins. granted some arent as fortunate as me, but thats where accessibilty should come in, if you cant buy this or that battle pass or item shop skin now, you should be able to later
also the prices havent changed, all skins range from like 800-2000 vbucks and even the metallica pack isnt even worth the amount, becuase it is way too much stuff for like 3200 vbucks, prices are fine

Here is what ive learned and thought about recently as i view games a lil different from most but ive come to the understanding that right now fornite is having bad growing pains like its becoming a teenager the devs not making the best choices but they are trying and they have to deal with alll the changes as well on the game and the stuff we do not see behind the game i feel in a few years the game will calm down and all we have to do is be patient with them and the game
I'm extremely hopeful for Chapter 6. Growing pains is a nice way to describe it.
I think the issue with this is that since this game and its community is clouded in a history of negativity and complaining that once you actually make a point with actual valid criticism that your just lumped in with the other people who complain.
I genuinely think chapter 5 has contained every single worst season of Fortnite so far, even during chapter 4 with wilds I was like, “ok this season is bad but it still has some redeemable aspects” but with this chapter I hate every single thing about it and every season has contained horrible changes to the overall game.
I think Lego and festival were great additions, honestly the only reason im still playing the game at this point. and I know people hate the word calling something “soulless” but I genuinely just believe Fortnite has lost its integrity, I don’t really care about the monetization either even to do this day I’ll always give Fortnite credit for having some of the best monetization in modern gaming but I just think the game feels so formulaic, boring and honestly I just can’t do it anymore so I’ve basically quit BR at this point.
Understandable frustrations. Do you really hate EVERYTHING about it? Chapter 5 has been by far my least favorite as well, but I still find fun in it.
@@Clen- yeah the only thing I've found fun about it is just playing with my friends but even then it sometimes can help, I really don't like a single change, item, weapon, feature or POI that has been added this chapter and the item shops are a cherry on top with giving me less motivation to feel passionate about the game and the mythics are such a downgrade In creativity compared to chapter 4 with hallow purple, aot, deku smash etc

Fortnite has changed throughout these last 7 years here is how many times it changed first the game released in 2017 we didn't even know we were getting seasons and chapters, then we got season 2 the first season of Fortnite, then we got the End event in ch1 sX which we all or most of us thought was the end of Fortnite as we got sucked into a black hole, then 2 days later we get season 11 known as ch2 s1 as it was brand a new chapter and we were so hyped, then we got the ch2 End event in ch2 s8 and we knew what to expect after the ch2 End event being ch3 and after the ch2 End event we were on a downtime screen this time it wasn't a black hole it was just our character stranded on a log and they moved closer and closer to the ch3 island till they got there, then we got ch3 a day after the ch2 End event, then we got the ch3 Finale event Fracture in ch3 s4 and the event was pretty bad, then we got ch4 a day after the ch3 Finale event, then we got the OG season after 4 seasons of chapter 4 and we got it to celebrate how much the game evolved I'm pretty sure and the OG season was so good and so fun, then we got the launch of UEFN, then we got the Big Bang ch4 Finale Season OG end event, and then a day after the event we got the launch of ch5 which really changed the game a lot as it changed the movement, gave us bullet drop and no hitscan weapons, and it gave us weapon attachments but it also introduced the Metaverse or expanded it which we saw the Metaverse in the Big Bang event and Fortnite is now a platform with ch5 and a completely different game with ch5 and 3 new modes released after the launch of ch5 the new modes were Lego Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival which we saw all 3 in the Big Bang event as well and we also got an OG type mode in ch5 s3 which just came out recently called Reload which is also a Metaverse mode and Reload is a really fun mode and it is my favorite mode and I'm glad it's permanent but I also think this mode is this year's Summer event as the commercial for Reload took place in a Summer type city I'm pretty sure and the music in the commercial really gave off Summer vibes I think this mode was supposed to release with the Summer event but if it was it would most likely be added in v30.20 meaning leakers would be able to leak it however maybe it could be encrypted if that happened and then the mode gets announced one or 2 days before it is released and the commercial gets released and then the mode launches with the Summer event or if it wasn't added in v30.20 then we would get a patch on July 4th to add Reload and the rewards and quests for the mode would be decrypted that day as they would be added in v30.20 but encrypted

You also got to think about it for money I think at a certain point in time when game companies and all that when they get more than a billion dollars or so things always always take a turn and people always say hey why did this change from being this god amazing like content to lazy shitty content some games still have good stuff even though they make billions of dollars but I have this small feeling that it’s about the money
