    Nice kayak and video. I have a GoPlus kayak too but longer and a tandem one. I guess it’s an American model. I also made a review on my channel. Great review. Have you tried this kayak on the sea? Looks like a good solo kayak and very stable. Only concern is how low the cockpit sides are which makes me think that you may get a lot of spray sloshing into the cockpit if you were on a choppy sea. I guess you could bale out via the 2 cut outs in the floor with a small cup/hand pump in that case because the water would presumably start to collect under the floor? It seems to need D-rings on the decks to tether dry bags down since there are no decks to store bags under.

    • @NorthwalesBushcrafters
      @NorthwalesBushcrafters  2 года назад +1

      Hi not yet tried it on the sea tho I think it would be very good 👍 on a trip I’d always take a baler out with me, but I’d only be going in good weather and not out to sea 🌊 😃, and of course you can always add D-rings for more attachment points 👍

    • @TheKayakCrew
      @TheKayakCrew 2 года назад +1

      @@NorthwalesBushcrafters tbh you get water ingress into the cockpit on any inflatable kayak. As you say, a small baling cup is the answer.
      How much support for the back of the seat does the rear of the cockpit give? My current solo kayak and the one before both had a setup where you effectively sat back against the rear of the cockpit which meant the seat was always supported well.

    • @NorthwalesBushcrafters
      @NorthwalesBushcrafters  2 года назад

      @@TheKayakCrew to be fair the seat is not the best but that could also just be me as I’m short so it’s easy to slide down a bit so seat seems to lean back then, but if your taller you will reach foot rests better and have better purchase other than that I love it but I need to get out on it more 👍👍

    what paddle to you suggest?

  • @gloppy101
    @gloppy101 2 года назад +2

    Much easier to use a inflatable paddle board with a stadium seat (WalMart $18.) so you don't sit in water like this one since this design has no drain. Sadly it appears there is zero customer service with regards to warranty. This design was first introduced 12 years ago by Airis and sold by Walker Bay. It lasted two years and they were gone. Always go with a company who backs their products.

    • @NorthwalesBushcrafters
      @NorthwalesBushcrafters  2 года назад +1

      Yes I can see that being an issue and the lack of company support is crap 😂 but it’s a shame as it paddles well to be fair and on flat water as this day was it shouldn’t take on to much water that will be down to my paddling, thanks for the info on design ATVB Trev 👍

    • @gloppy101
      @gloppy101 2 года назад +1

      @@NorthwalesBushcrafters another advantage with the inflatable paddle board and stadium seat is the much more comfortable seat (raised) and being able to all stand up paddle. Food for thought.

      Great idea on adding a stadium seat to an inflatable SUP. How do you attach the seat to to the SUP?? I suppose one could just wrap a strap all the way around. Added benefit is that you now have a SUP and a kayak of sorts.

    • @gloppy101
      @gloppy101 2 года назад

      @@tybrady1935 many paddle boars have center D-rings. If your's does not, it's a easy add. ust don't try to glue them on the soft foam deck surface as they won't stick. Add a short strap to each side of the seat to secure in place. I also use a small pool noodle, split in half and zip tie to bottom two rails of the seat to help hold it from sliding. Works well.

    • @tybrady1935
      @tybrady1935 2 года назад

      @@gloppy101 Thanks for the reply. Lots of inflatable SUPs to pick from and at a nice price too. I did some extra research and I see that extra D-rings are how to attach. I can also buy extra D-rings to attach if needed. Good idea on the pool noodles.

      ive been fishing with mine and caught my personal best bass at almost 6 pounds while fishing on it. the 350 i paid for mine was worth that alone. You have to be a little careful. I havent used any lures with trebles so far but i imagine you would have to be super careful with those. the manual states if you get a small hole like that all you do is a put a dab of glue that it came with and that fixes it.i love mine.
