Really enjoyed this style of tutorial video. Not too fast, not too slow. Music was good and the camera angles gave an excellent view of the techniques. Love the final product too! I also enjoy your voice over style videos. Much love x
thanks so much! 🥰
What Clare said. I like your speaking on other videos too:)
This was really satisfying to watch.
Great pace, love music in it, and I love the subtitles although I usually like hearing people speak along with it. Love your tutorial! Thank you!
I love how huge and pleasantly organic this mug is! This would absolutely become my daily mug.
The tutorial was very clear and well paced. I tend to watch videos silently with closed captions on, so however you prefer doing it works for me. I did appreciate that the words were accurate, unlike RUclips’s auto captions, which are sometimes a hot mess.
I really enjoyed this format with the music and the writing. I learned so much from your short video. Thank you!
The use of arrows to indicate an area of interest and to indicate direction of pressure with the fingers is fantastic. I like the text versus spoken. The music can go either way; I like the music but there's also an asmr quality that's really nice without the music or talking over.
Loved the instruction via text, the pacing, ‘unobtrusive’ music. Good job!
thank you! 🥰🥰
I’ve enjoyed watching your creative process with your voice, because you’re not shy about the surprises and disappointments of the possibilities of ceramics. So without music is my choice AND I’m looking forward to your next video whichever way you care to do it.
Luv this style and without music is extremely satisfying and ASMR i like it more
Very informative tutorial. As a "newbie" your explanations were great. Hearing your voice is nice as well, Mia. Thank you for all your videos.
thanks for watching! I’m so glad it was helpful ☺️
@@PotterytothePeople I have a question. how thick is your slab? thank you.
I’ve learned so much from your videos and 100% plan on making my own giant mug like this! I loved the video angles and style. It’s nice to read the instructions and “forced” my ADHD brain to pay close attention, but I like hearing your voice too! Thank you for a great video and all the work that goes into making it! 😊
I really liked this format!! This video is super helpful, thank you for the inspiring content :)
I thoroughly enjoyed this
I've been enjoying the varied formats :) this was really relaxing and still informative.
Great video! LV the music and all the detail instructions! Beautiful pitcher! Thank you for taking the time to post!
Love this! I'm getting ready to teach ceramics to my class and I have NO CLUE what to do! I like the sound of the video, I struggle with text overlay because I end up reading and not watching the video. Fantastic mug!!
Loved this video, I really like the captions and listening to the music. Well done, thank you!
This video is so dope! Loved the relatively simple (I'm still a beginner, so it'll probably be more challenging when I try it 🙂) yet very effective methods of adding curves. I like the music, and the text allows me to focus on watching the techniques. I also appreciate showing the end result. Can't wait to try this! Thank you!
Great video, thank you!! Love the music, perfect speed. I don't enjoy voice overs, this is perfect. Great piece you made. 👏
Love these tutorials. So helpful to us beginners x
I think this is great. Beginners will like the explanations. They are good reminders for everyone.
thank you! yes it always helps to hear things more than once 😆
Love watching and learning from you.
Wow, these tips are so helpful! Can't wait to try them out and give my slab ceramics that extra flair! 🙌🔥
Excellent tutorial, pace , no talking and usually I do not like music, but here it doesn t disturb and anyway can turn it off. Thank you
Excellent, loved every minute, so clear and understandable
Nice tips! Definitely gonna give these a try. Who knew adding curves to slab ceramics could be so fun and beginner-friendly? Can't wait to see the results! 👌🏼
Love this music and writing style of video and love the curviness techniques and result! Thanks!
I really like the way you make your videos. Very helpful and relaxing. Thank you :)
loved the video, very thorough and the music just added to the vibe
I loved this video, and thought the format was ideal. I plan to start on my own mug next week in the beginner’s class I’m taking.
I like both, with music and without. But I do like hearing you explain different techniques and your tutorials are great! Thank you!!!🙂
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS!! Speed is perfect!! No over explaining! Music is a nice soothing touch! Makes me want to go get my clay out right now!!! Love your videos!!
thank you! 🥰
Love the video format!
Great tutorial and well paced! Music is good in the background and clear instructions. Nice result :)
Perfect video , no words needed.
Thank you for sharing, a great video to watch.
I enjoyed this format! I like both, equally, talking and not talking. Well done!
I’m not picky! I’ll watch either. I enjoyed reading your descriptions and hearing the music as much as voice over. Great video! I’m a beginner hand builder so please continue hand building videos.
This is perfect! Text is very useful and the music is the visual, learning experience more fun! Beautiful piece!!
thank you! 🥰
Love your instruction techniques and curved handle.
Today at pottery i made a mug! I have a good teacher! Just saw your video and loved it, everything perfect and will do your techniques next time as I am building up a set of mugs! Really great vid
Hermosa jarra. Excelente video. Muchas gracias por compartir estas técnicas 😊
Nice tips. I find titles very useful. They goes well with the rhythm of the video.
Very nice! I quite liked the video style. Music, with text. Great shots of what's going on with steps to final result!
Thanks for uploading!
Lovely. I’ve always wanted to learn that type of pottery
On format, I love the pacing, but I do prefer voice because I tend to “watch” a video the first time while doing dishes or such and glance over at the pottery occasionally, then the second time if I’ve decided to try it, I am watching while also trying to do my own pottery. Most of the time I just skip videos that are subtitles only.
Great tutorial, love the shaping techniques, and handle making, ty from a new Potter in Aotearoa New Zealand 🐬
Wow beautiful!!!
Great video as always. With text and music is relaxing, but I like the way you comment the video's, so both are welcome
i like the text with music, rather than voiceover. thanks, a great video!
Pace is great! Music is mostly nice (mute works if folks don’t like it). Written directions/explanations are perfect. I love your videos. I get so much information and inspiration from all of them. ❤
Love voice-over. Thank you
That is a LOT of hot tea!
I like when there is a music for repetitive things, like hitting the cylinder with a wooden spoon, but when it is something important, where you need to pay attention to details, such as attaching the bottom to the wall, there is no music, it makes me more focused during this moment :)
Thanks so much for the great tips just tried a mug and those tips work awesome especially the curve on the bottom. I've been wanting to make stemless wine glasses and I think this technique will work great and cutting the bottom off the same way. I enjoy watching your videos, and am learning lots.
glad to hear it is helpful! 🥰 thanks for watching!
This was a great video. Perfect pace. I think i would prefer voice over and then if I need to I can turn on closed captioning to read along. Thank you for your wonderful content.
this is another great video. Nice with the music and text, although I like to hear you talk us through it as well
I love the music background. The mug is beautiful.
Great videos! As you asked, I like when I hear the sounds of work, a little bit of music and a lot of written description 😊
Soooo cool!!!👍👍👍
The format helps the viewer and the creator concentrate on the process and makes conveying information concise. As a fan of cooking some of the best food I’ve ever made was based of the most simply put instruction. I find it really difficult to convey the information I want to all the time without having it be all cluttered up, but you did a really good job here. There are times where you want to engage directly with people and be verbal and there are times where showing works better than telling. I think good teachers know how to give as much space as possible to their students minds. In fact, some of the best art teachers can teach without even needing to speak the same language. It’s why if you’re quite brave and strong you can move across the world and learn the trade from a master with minimal language skills. All that said this looks quite difficult. It seems like a fragile process. Definitely got me interested and thinking.
thank you! ☺️
Very good. Thanks.
Good demo
Great! Thank you!
this is awesome ! speed is a little slow but all the angles and information is amazing ! the text is so helpful too
I am old so I dont like music, my brain cant handle both, i like the text, i liked you showed final result. Got some great ideas, I dont rinse my piece in a bucket, great idea. I think it was just the right speed. Looking forward to seeing more videos. Can you do one on square bottom mug? Thanks
Love all your videos! I get so excited when there's a new one.
Personally I prefer you talking in the videos or voice overs, mean I can concentrate on what you're doing, rather than reading 😊
Thats a good point! Thanks for the tip :)
Inspiring to say the least! I feel like skipping work and go home to my clay right now! ❤
Du bist Wunderbar! Danke!
I like both. Sometimes it's great to hear your voice and sometimes videos like this are great! I think you're doing awesome with figuring it out though 😊
Danke dir 🥰 I enjoy both formats so I guess I will do whichever fits the topic ☺️
Thank you so much!
Loved it!
thank you!! 🥰🥰
Love this,, going to make some
yeah! 👏👏
I prefer voiceover to reading the screen because I like to “watch” this stuff while I’m drawing & I can just glance up when the voiceover is telling me to look at something specific. I think the pacing is good. It’s slow enough to make sense without being painfully slow. Edit: you should use that clay mix to make an oval box where the outside & lid are painted like a dragon fruit & when you open the box, the inside looks like the seeds!
I like to hear you speaking, the subtitle option is good for those who can’t hear. I don’t like the music, I prefer just the shop sounds. The quality and pace of the video is super 😊
I liked your first videos very much, when you were speaking and working at the same time. That was pleasantly personal. Thank you very much!
Thanks! I might have to bring that back then 😄
Beautiful ! Thanks again for sharing your ideas and your art ! I have to say that my preference goes to the voice over video and no music. 👍☀️
good to know, thank you! ☺️
No music with a voice over :) it’s almost like ASMR with an added bonus of learning and watching pottery
Hello there, I like your videos as they are😊
liked it just fine the way it played thank you
So inspires and professionall. Nice lady, nice taste, nice music).
thank you! 🥰
When I first started listening I heard music, so I listened to without the sound, so I would vote no music. It's easier for me to pay attention without it. Other than that I have not suggestions and I love the way it turned out!
I like the captions and the speed of the video
just right , thankyou
Love the video and the text .. goes at a great pace with clear viewing of what’s happening.
I found the music annoying with the ding 🛎 that continues throughout.. so I put it on mute and was able to just watch and read the text 😊
Beautiful Mug and I loved that you took it all the way to the end. What glaze is that? Did the glaze give it the speckles?
Thank you
Thanks for the tips! I like this style of video too, although I usually watch RUclips while doing something else, so it was a little more difficult to follow without the voice. But I still watched it! 😄
nice! good to know 🙂 The next couple will be with voice anyway!
Hi, thank you for a great tutorial! I love the style, but I can live w/o the music. Ciao!
I like this style, chill music, good pace, i like both words or voiceovers, very relaxing video, but if id be in the mood to do something while listening/watching, i would for sure prefer voiceover, thanks for the content!
Whata great turnout with the cookies n cream mug
I enjoy your videos. Thank you for creating them! My only suggestion would be leave the longer descriptions on screen for a second or two longer. I found myself backing the video up numerous times to see what action you were talking and reading the rest of the text that I missed
Thanks for the feedback! That is super helpful 🙂
I dig your Vlog!😂Thats a potters joke!😂
Great video, music is just right - reading and watching the techniques at the same time a bit challenging but I can go back if I miss anything. I like the voice overs best I think. I've learned a lot from you already so thank you for sharing so generously. Question - could you use the fluting technique to create a pouring lip for a small milk/cream jug? Thanks again.
I like the written text but it goes too fast for me to read. I'm not a fan of music with these types of video. Ideally I would love to hear you explain what you are doing and why but that's just me. I recently discovered your channel and I absolutely love that you are speaking now!! I'm watching from last to first because I'm not sure how to change the setting
Love the video. Personally I prefer the music and the written instructions. Camera work is perfect!
Thanks for your input! :)
Personally I prefer no music with text over. Just make sure the text stays on the screen long enough. This video was perfect for me. I am curious just how many quarts of tea does that cup hold?
Pacing is perfect, and yes, have to have some soft music or voice over.
I tend to listen to youtube videos more than watch, so I tend to like occasional voiceover more, but i don't mind the subtitles. I second the person who mentioned they should stay on screen longer, though. I did look down at this occasionally and miss an important tip or two and have to rewind.
Either way, i very much appreciate your tutorials, especially hand building. I've resolved, at least for now, not to do any wheel throwing and it seems kind there are fewer tutorials of that than throwing. I like boundaries because they force me to be creative with what I have. I'm still very beginner and absorbing all the knowledge i can find, so thank you for sharing!!
thanks for the feedback! its good to know. i definitely agree with the boundaries thing! It definitely helps with creativity. I do the same by limiting my glaze color palette 🙌
New Subscriber here!
So far I'm loving your channel!
This is a nice style occasionally, but as a beginner I prefer it slower paced. Honestly I'm a slow reader and constantly pausing changes the viewing flow...
Maybe no music, but everything keep it just the way it is!! Great instructional video.
